Dragon Ball Game – Project Z Announced

Bandai Namco announces Dragon Ball Game – Project Z action RPG title for 2019 to tell the story of Goku in DBZ universe.

Official announcement of a brand-new Dragon Ball action role-playing video game has been made lately for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One titled, Dragon Ball Game – Project Z from developer CyberConnect2 and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment.

Following their successful stint of fighter game Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 in 2016 and Dragon Ball FighterZ in 2018, the publisher has now attempted to make a new RPG based on the same universe and revealed to incite curiosity among players.

The brand-new announcement trailer offers players a first glimpse at some of the characters featured in it and a bit of their journey.

Although details regarding its plot are very scarce from what we could gather so far from Project Z trailer but it promises to explore the story of Goku and his friends in a never ending quest to discover the mysteries of Dragon Balls.

Recurring antagonist from the franchise, Frieza also showed up by the end of the trailer. Our good guess is that we might end up seeing the first transformation of Goku into a Super Saiyan and part of Frieza Saga might be reached upon.

In his attempt to protect Earth from terrifying villains, players will take on challenging quests as Kakarot and engage in epic battles alongside his allies. Some early scenes Goku practicing with Piccolo that took place before Dragon Ball Z were shown too.

Perhaps Bandai Namco is targeting a new base of audience after finding success in two Dragon Ball fighting games and Dragon Ball Game – Project Z taking the path of action RPG clearly hints at that, which is a good thing for longtime series fans.
