What you can immediately detect is that the visual style for the lead character and prince of the Underworld, Zagreus has changed. Zag has received a makeover newly retouched animation frames to keep par with the unique outlook of the game itself.

His appearance is more flowing than ever and has gained a few new abilities as now he can briefly stun majority of foes with his dash attack. Shield of Chaos will be recharged quicker for him and Eternal Spear picked up a little speed.

To get the Hell out of Underworld (or Hades), one would require some serious blessings and boons, which is why Primordial Chaos was included as an ancestor of the gods to offer incentives but their rather unforeseen side effects may force you to think twice.

Among the bunch of alteration they dropped are few more challenges for skilled players who already completed the game over. Pact of Punishment unleashes more sufferings to go through and a challenge from Lord Hades to slay enemies without taking hit in a "Perfect Clear".

Based on constant player feedbacks, the developers also fixed a few issues with bug and music, added balance changes and more than a few tweaks in features. Voiced narrative events for Achilles, Hades, Hypnos and Zagreus have been included.

Instead of bringing chaos, the update has ushered some stability to keep up the hack and slash. Aside from adding three new chambers in Asphodel and Tartarus, new enemy types like Gorgon, Skull-Crusher and Megagorgon have made it to the list.
