Resident Evil 2 Remake Mod Adds Nemesis

A fan mod has introduced Resident Evil 3 villain Nemesis into Resident Evil 2 Remake by replacing Mr. X.

Fans of survival horror and franchise loyalists loved the newly released Resident Evil 2 Remake from developer/publisher Capcom. It has also been very popular in the fan modder community who just love to tweak the game and add various changes.

Lately, a fan mod has replaced the theme song for returning villain Mr. X with hit song "X Gon' Give It To Ya" of rapper DMX and now has entirely swapped him with the titular character Nemesis from next game in the series, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.

RE2 Remake builds everything from the ground up and overhauls a lot of aspect that received warm reception of fans. One such element was re-imagining of trench coat wearing stalking Tyrant enemy Mr. X, who now relentlessly pursues players upon seeing.

This certain trait has been unique to Resident Evil 3 boss character Nemesis, who is armed with a rocket launcher and constantly chases RE3 protagonist Jill Valentine throughout Raccoon City while also seeking out any remaining S.T.A.R.S. members to dispatch.

Now that Capcom has made Mr. X an unstoppable killing machine, he acts a lot like his successor Nemesis, who will stop at nothing from completing his objective and will not go down or stay down for long no matter how much firepower you pour in.

Since they both are now almost same in nature and are based to work in Raccoon City, a new mod by user ZERO has taken things to next level by replacing Mr. X of RE2 Remake with the Nemesis to get chased by for an entire campaign.

Of course, the modder has used a reskinned version of terrible Tyrant from RE2, which is why it looks slightly awful but the fear factor is right there in its presence and the moment you hear it saying "S.T.A.R.S." kicks the horror nostalgia right in.

After long requests from fans for years, a remake of Resident Evil 2 has finally become a reality on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Players now want a remake of Resident Evil 3, which according to reports are next in line before Capcom proceeds with Resident Evil 8.
