Halo TV Series Casts Pablo Schreiber as Master Chief

Upcoming Halo TV series on Showtime has cast American Gods starrer Pablo Schreiber to play Master Chief.

Right after announcing upcoming militaristic sci-fi first-person shooter Halo Infinite back at E3 2018 press conference last year, a brand-new TV Series based on long-running Halo video game franchise was confirmed for Showtime.

According to a recent announcement from the TV network, Canadian-American actor Pablo Schreiber (American Gods, Orange Is the New Black) has been cast in its lead role as renowned series protagonist Master Chief John-117.

Schreiber has received nomination for Primetime Emmy for his guest role at comedy-drama series Orange Is the New Black in 2015 and then been nominated for Tony Award on the same year for theatrical performance of Awake and Sing!

He stands an impressive 6.5" tall, which is a pretty rare standard for Hollywood and yet he will be five inches shorter than actual height of John-117 without his Spartan armor but Schreiber still has a physical frame to do proper justice to the character.

Also joining him in cast is Yerin Ha in a new and original character of 16 year-old Quan Ah, solely created for the show. She will cross paths with Master Chief at a time of 26th-century epic conflict of humans and alien race of Covenant.

In association with developer studio 343 Industries and Amblin Television of filmmaker Steven Spielberg, Showtime is looking forward to produce a 9-episode first Season of Halo TV Series with executive producer Kyle Killen (Awake, Lone Star) on board.
