Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2v2 Mode Alpha Announced

PS4 players can test your skills in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare free Alpha for Gunfight Mode from August 23 without PS Plus.

Ahead of opening night live at Gamescom 2019, upcoming first-person shooter game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare from developer Infinity Ward and publisher by Activision announced to have an exciting reveal on multiplayer.

More action from intense new 2v2 mode Gunfight is coming soon to a free Alpha for players on PlayStation 4 from August 23 to 25. PS4 owner with an internet connection can jump right in without requiring a PS Plus subscription.

Prepare yourself and a partner on PS4 console for an entire weekend of 2v2 that kick starts very soon. You will be given access to five close-quarter maps to fight another duo team that includes newest addition of Docks and Speedball.

Each team of two players will enter a fight to win five rounds with random weapons at hand from a wide range of loadouts. You never know whether you are going to get a scoped shotgun or will end up with a pistol until you get them.

Whatever you are handed out to, you will be wise to act quickly and work on your reflexes with any given firearms. Good thing is, enemy team is also given the same loadout and that can also make things a bit unpredictable at times.

Gunfight Mode pushes you to adapt into unpredictable loadouts in each match to survive 2v2 maps. It is a simplistic approach to Multiplayer experience of Modern Warfare, which is far more complicated with weapon customization.

Those looking forward to enter Multiplayer Beta will have to wait until September 12 and it comes to PS4 first. PC and Xbox One players can join in from September 19 before an Open Beta arrives on September 21 for all platforms.

Modern Warfare sub-series heading towards a soft-reboot in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which is currently scheduled to release worldwide on October 25, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with cross-play support.
