Previously planned for a March 6 release, TOW was unfortunately pushed back when its port developer Virtuos Games had to suddenly close down their studio like all Chinese offices amidst an initial outbreak of Coronavirus in February.

Before news of delay came in, fans were unhappy over a physical release without cartridge that charges full price for an empty case and publisher Private Division decided to include a game card for retail copies taking notice of their feedback.

Another thing players need to keep in mind that TOW will be receiving a day one patch worth nearly 6 GB with added hi-res textures, gameplay optimization and other essential fixes to improve your overall experience on Switch.

For a standard price of $59.99 only, The Outer Worlds digital and physical versions for Nintendo Switch will be available on given date. Obsidian is also planning to release a Steam version of TOW for PC platform later at some point in 2020.
