Total War: Shogun 2 Free on Steam Now

Sega is giving away PC version of 2011 acclaimed strategy game Total War: Shogun 2 on Steam for free.

In an attempt to keep everyone indoors and self-quarantined amidst COVID-19 pandemic, developer Creative Assembly and publisher Sega is offering a free copy of 2011 strategy game Total War: Shogun 2 for PC platforms via Steam.

Starting from April 27, 10 AM PT/1 PM EDT, Shogun 2 is free-to-keep forever once you claim it before May 1, 10 AM PT/1 PM EDT. Also, a franchise sale will kick-off at the same time with selected Total War games and DLC.

Set in 16th-century feudal era of Japan, players assume control over one of several factions of local warlords. You can repeatedly recreate history by employing varying strategy to build an empire by dominating rival clans in battle.

Those who already own Shogun 2 base game and several DLC add-ons will be offered an adjusted price for additional purchase. Unfortunately, Rome: Total War and Total War: Three Kingdoms are not included in ongoing sale.
