Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty! Free on Epic Games Store Now

Getting into a season of celebration and giving, Epic Games has launched annual Holiday Sale for this year on digital distribution outlet Epic Games Store and is planning to give away a few free games on PC platform for next 15 days.

Epic Store is offering 2014 puzzle-platformer game Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty by developer Just Add Water and publisher Oddworld Inhabitants for next 24 hours, which you can claim and own forever with a free account while available.

New 'n' Tasty is an enhanced remake of PlayStation original title Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee, first game in Oddworld series. All previous assets and levels were used for a ground-up rework with 3D character models, cinematics and more.

You play as a slave meek named Abe, who works at RuptureFarms meat farm and discovers his friends getting slaughtered. He decides to escape and try to save as many of fellow Mudokons laborers he can from becoming meat snacks.

Epic Games Store is trying to build hype among players for Oddworld series in anticipation of upcoming release of Oddworld: Soulstorm next year as a follow-up game to New 'n' Tasty, which will be a timed-exclusive for PC platform.

Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty remains free on Epic Store until December 19, 9:00 AM PT/12:00 PM EDT before third mystery game is revealed. Hopefully, there will be at least a few blockbuster fan-favorites included in 15 days of free games.
