Torchlight II Free on Epic Games Store Now! Again!

As ongoing year comes to a close, Epic Games brings back annual Holiday Sale 2020 and kick-started daily giveaway madness in 15 days of free games on their digital distribution storefront Epic Games Store for a very limited time.

On today's lineup, Epic Store is adding action role-playing dungeon crawler game Torchlight II, which is a returning entry. Anyone can get a copy to own it forever within next 24 hours until December 31, 9:00 AM PT/12:00 PM EDT.

Working on sequel to original Torchlight, developer Runic Games and publisher Perfect World Entertainment took major inspiration from Diablo series and originally considered making it an MMORPG but eventually canned that idea.

You step into a fantasy open-world and choose a character from four playable classes for a top-down action RPG experience like no other. Take on a single-player adventure or join co-op with friends to save their town from destruction.

In terms of storytelling, Torchlight II doesn't appeal much but offers a fairly engaging gameplay, including a New Game Plus mode. Though primary classes from first game were not featured in lead roles, they do make a return as NPCs.

Epic Games Store has yet to announce upcoming fifteenth and final mystery freebie of Holiday Sale promotion tomorrow but an early leak already revealed it to be simulation game Jurassic World Evolution by Frontier Developments.
