Ghost of Tsushima: Iki Island Expansion Details Leaked

Earlier this month, developer Sucker Punch Productions has officially announced Director's Cut edition of 2020 samurai adventure game Ghost of Tsushima and Iki Island expansion for August 20, 2021 release on PlayStation 4 and 5 consoles.

Sucker Punch will include a previously rumored Iki Island expansion to newly revealed Director's Cut at launch and recently, an alleged playtester for Ghost of Tsushima has leaked a number of information details about upcoming story add-on.

Sucker Punch has already confirmed adding new animals, armor, enemies and more for newest story expansion. However, there is much to be revealed about protagonist Jin Sakai's journey to defend Ikishima Island from Mongolian invasion.

A self-proclaimed playtester has posted a long text passage about Ghost of Tsushima: Iki Island expansion on social media site Reddit, claiming to have worked for major studios like EA Sports, Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch Productions earlier.

According to latest Reddit leaks, titular Iki Island is just by the coast of Tsushima and has a size of lower part of its mainland. Other than being a home for monkeys, leopards and squirrels, it has an active volcano and some caves to explore.

Players can expect of have 15-20 hours of gameplay experience with freshly added features like charms, enemies, Shrines, Torch mechanic for cave story mission, and new Fighting Stance that allows you combine katana attack and flying kicks.

Reddit user QualityAssuranceTest stated all Iki Island expansion insights on r/ghostofikishima sub-Reddit.

Players have been very positive about a Director's Cut so far but some are seeing this as a cash-grab attempt by Sony for not offering current owners a free PS5 upgrade just like they did with Spider-Man: Miles Morales and The Last of Us 2.

Ghost of Tsushima fans are likely to get more information on Iki Island expansion when Sucker Punch reveals new Director's Cut details. Rather than being a standalone release, Ikishima will be a part of main storyline, arriving next month.
