State of Decay 2: Homecoming Update Announced

While fans are still waiting to get more news on State of Decay 3, developer Undead Labs and publisher Xbox Game Studios are still supporting its predecessor title and delivering content for State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition players.

In a recent announcement during Gamescom 2021 Xbox stream, Undead Labs invites you all to explore series roots and reveals to bring back original Trumbull Valley map and lot more in free Homecoming update in September 1, 2021.

Undead Labs releases a new trailer showing details of Homecoming update for State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition.

Trumbull Valley is a fully remastered map from first State of Decay game, re-introduced as an explorable location. Homecoming opens it up a lot more than it used to be and will let you walk into areas that were previously inaccessible.

Players can expect to find six new bases, location-specific unique items, outfits and weapons in Trumbull Valley at launch. Also, there are new achievements to unlock and missions to take on for would-be settlers of the upcoming map.

Going back to iconic Trumbull Valley, players will see how much zombie apocalypse has evolved in State of Decay universe. Latest version of the map revolves around a new storyline with ties to early plot threads and a group of survivors.

State of Decay 2: Homecoming free content update is arriving next month for all existing owner of Juggernaut Edition and for members of Xbox Game Pass on Windows PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S via backward compatibility feature.
