Neo: The World Ends With You Will Be Epic Games Store-Exclusive

Earlier this year, developer/publisher Square Enix has released action role-playing game Neo: The World Ends With You for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, which has almost lived up to its 2007 predecessor The World Ends with You.

Following its console debut in late July, Square Enix recently announces to launch PC version of NEO: TWEWY on September 28, 2021, exclusively on Epic Games Store and currently available for pre-order ahead of release upcoming week.

Neo is a long-anticipated sequel to The World Ends with You, an acclaimed JRPG for Nintendo DS consoles. It featured a cast of characters from Shibuya shopping district of Tokyo and took inspiration from real real-world location setting.

NEO: TWEWY introduces a bunch of new faces and primarily focuses on protagonist character Rindo Kanade, who is a high school student. One day he finds a mysterious pin that forces him to take part in "Reapers' Game" with his friends.

TWEWY sequel adapts to a new three-dimensional art style instead of 2D sprites of the original. Pre-order bonus includes Legendary Threads and Reapers' Game survival gear set, collecting in-game healing items alongside base game on PC.

Square Enix has taken a new direction for PC releases lately by choosing Epic Games Store over Steam platform and Neo: The World Ends With You will be their second PC game after Kingdom Hearts series, arriving exclusively on Epic Store.
