Fortnite Chapter 2 Finale Reveals New Map, The Rock and More

For a while since last month, developer/publisher Epic Games have been teasing a new Chapter for 2017 free-to-play Battle Royale shooter Fortnite as Season 8 was coming to a close and fans were hoping for a grand finale like Chapter 1.

That inevitable moment has already come to pass lately and Apollo island storyline is concluded in Chapter 2: The End event. A final battle ensues against The Cube Queen and she unleashes a Convergence event after an epic showdown.

Following an epic showdown, Epic Games has revealed Fortnite Chapter 2 finale on social media via a livestream.

She then opens portal in sky to summon a couple of UFOs and a few giant monsters that begins tearing everything apart. Meanwhile, Jonesy was being interrogated in an underground bunker before new hero The Foundation showed up.

Played by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, The Foundation breaks in to rescue Jones and together they make an escape attempt. As they progress, players on surface are taken to their location, only for a monster to flood the entire bunker.

They eventually swim to the surface once again to see Apollo island slowly flipping upside down and it reveals a setting for Chapter 3. A massive wave then knocks out player character, leaving them floating and stranded over a wreckage.

Epic Games continues to add new "Chapters" to keep Fortnite interesting with giant boss battle and limited time events. Season 1 Battle Pass for Chapter 3 will reportedly include Spider-Man, new mount system, slide mechanic and more.

With introduction of Fortnite Chapter 2, new gameplay mechanics and graphical overhaul have reinvented its legacy of Battle Royale. After ending up Chapter 1 with a bang, Epic Games took things to a new stature throughout Chapter 2.

Fortnite is having a downtime now until December 4, 1:00 PM PST/4:00 PM EST and Chapter 3 will be online with a new map. The Foundation is likely to be a part of a brand-new Season and Epic Games have lot more to announce soon.
