Epic Games Store kicks-off Holiday Sale 2021 by offering PC version of Cities: Skylines game in 15 days of free games.

Shenmue III Free on Epic Games Store Now

Repeating a trend for past few years, Epic Games has launched annual "Holiday Sale" on their digital distribution storefront Epic Games Store for 2021 and promises to giveaway a couple of freebie titles for next 15 days on PC platform.

As an early leak have teased, first mystery game for holiday celebration on Epic Store is 2019 action-adventure game Shenmue III from developer Ys Net and publisher Deep Silver, which is available for next 24 hours to get a free copy.

A not so impressive sequel, Shenmue 3 was a long-anticipated successor to original Shenmue games that met with disappointment. It went back to roots in terms of gameplay but failed to entertain or resonate with modern audience.

Though protagonist Ryo Hazuki's return was heavily exaggerated by game director and series creator Yu Suzuki, he failed to deliver. His failure has lead to a Kickstarter controversy after he signed an exclusivity contract with Epic Store.

Epic Games Store giveaway will be Standard Edition of Shenmue 3, which is only its base game worth $10.49 retail price. You can also purchase Battle Rally, Big Merry Cruise and Story Quest Pack DLC add-ons cheap during Holiday Sale.

In a recurring fashion, Epic Games Store hands out free games in a limited time giveaway by the end of every year. A new mystery game will be revealed by tomorrow and it replaces Shenmue 3 with an unknown title for another 24 hours.
