Nintendo May Reveal Multiple Legend of Zelda Games in 2022

A follow-up sequel to Nintendo Switch-exclusive 2017 action-adventure game The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild by developer/publisher Nintendo became almost inevitable because of its critical-acclaim and overwhelming sales.

Nintendo officially announced a sequel for Switch back in 2019 but never revealed a definitive launch window yet. However, insider sources claim that multiple Legend of Zelda projects are currently scheduled for 2022, including BotW2.

Known leaker Samus Hunter recently claimed on social media that several Zelda games are in works now at Nintendo other than long-awaited Breath of the Wild 2 and at least one of them will probably be launched throughout this year.

Samus Hunter didn't mention which Legend of Zelda titles are under development but stated that BotW2 is still set for 2022. If there is a delay, Nintendo will probably announce it on April or May, at upcoming financial year projections.

Nintendo has yet to share much details regarding Breath of the Wild 2 since a new trailer was revealed last summer. They didn't even share BotW2 official title because of potential spoiler, which is seemingly titled "Bond of the Triforce".

Breath of the Wild sequel was reportedly planned to be showcased at Nintendo Direct stream earlier but it was only a rumor. Fans are wondering if BotW2 will be delayed to 2023 but a new Legend of Zelda game may still release this year.

Few other Zelda titles like Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time became part of Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack last year. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword was launched for Switch on 35th anniversary of Legend of Zelda last year.

Nintendo has yet to confirm working on multiple Legend of Zelda games to release in 2022, so you should take these claims with a grain of salt. Samus Hunter added that there is no plan for Switch ports of Twilight Princess or Wind Waker.
