Back 4 Blood: Tunnels of Terror DLC Expansion Announced

Albeit many similarities to Left 4 Dead franchise, 2021 multiplayer first-person shooter Back 4 Blood by developer Turtle Rock Studios and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive largely fails to live up to the glorious legacy of its predecessor.

A month after release back in October 2021, Turtle Rock Studios shared a post-launch content roadmap for B4B and major updates. Today, dev team announces first DLC expansion Tunnels of Terror, scheduled to release on April 12, 2022.

Turtle Rock reveals details regarding Tunnels of Terror content in a latest social media post on Twitter. There are plans for adding new Cleaners and Ridden enemies, lots of cards, character skins, game mode new weapons and much more.

Back 4 Blood DLC to add two new Cleaners; Heng and Sharice with three new Warped Ridden enemies, Ripper, Shredder and Urchin. Moreover, players will get their hands on to an all-new co-operative PvE activity known as Ridden Hives.

Tunnels of Terror expansion also include eight exclusive skins, cards, seven legendary weapons and attachments. However, dev team has yet to reveal how much it would cost for players who already own B4B and wants to buy it separately.

Back 4 Blood debuted with eight customizable Cleaners and looks like, Turtle Rock Studios has plans to include more in future. Whether or not they can revive player interest with release of post-launch DLCs in long run remains to be seen.

Turtle Rock also promises to deliver quality of life improvements via future patches for a better gameplay experience. Players can expect to receive a new difficulty mode, variety of cards and several changes to melee-combat among others.

Back 4 Blood Annual Pass will get you instant access to Tunnels of Terror contents at launch for no extra cost at all. Deluxe and Ultimate Edition owners will also be able to sink their teeth on upcoming premium DLCs without charge as well.
