House of the Dead Remake May Come to PlayStation and Xbox

A modern-day remake of classic arcade shooter titles The House of the Dead and The House of the Dead 2 were revealed by developer MegaPixel Studio and publisher Forever Entertainment for Nintendo Switch console back in April 2021.

Though originally expected to launch in March 2022, House of the Dead: Remake was released on Switch last week. A recent leak on Microsoft Store and PlayStation Network possibly hints at PlayStation and Xbox version release very soon.

A newly uploaded cover art for House of the Dead: Remake was found on PlayStation Network backend lately. A listing for 2022 remake was spotted Microsoft Store, which is marked as "Not Currently Available" and maybe revealed shortly.

Despite being announced for Nintendo Switch only, an early ESRB rating for Google Stadia has hinted that House of the Dead: Remake won't be a platform exclusive for long and now, listing for PlayStation and Xbox port suggests the same.

There is no official word on whether House of the Dead: Remake will arrive on PlayStation and Xbox consoles but latest listing and ESRB rating leak clearly suggests that MegaPixel Studio and Forever Entertainment already have plans for it.

House of the Dead made its debut in 1996 as an arcade game, re-popularizing zombie-shooter genre alongside Resident Evil. A sequel, House of the Dead 2 was released for arcades in 1998, which was followed by mainline entries later on.
