Earlier in December 2021, developer/publisher Ubisoft greeted all fans during annual Assassin's Creed day celebration and announced to add 60 FPS support for 2017 action role-playing game Assassin's Creed Origins across latest consoles.

A previous leak on PlayStation Network database revealed that next-gen upgrade for AC Origins will be releasing very soon. Although that never happened, a latest social media post by Ubisoft suggests that a patch is ready to arrive shortly.

Ubisoft may be teasing a frame rate boost for Assassin's Creed Origins coming soon in a post on Twitter recently by sharing a quote by protagonist Bayek of Siwa stating "And the wait is almost over…", which may hint at a next-gen upgrade.

Twitter account for PlayStation Game Size found through tracking that AC Origins added update 1.60 to PSN database. According to patch notes, it will enable higher frame rates and includes a Franchise Menu when playing on PlayStation 5.

Back in August 2021, Ubisoft has added 60 FPS support to Assassin's Creed Odyssey for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S via backwards compatibility. Later they introduced a free Crossover Stories DLC to tie-in Odyssey and Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

Assassin's Creed Origins is coming to Xbox Game Pass earlier next month and a next-gen update may arrive at the same time. Ubisoft is reportedly working on a new Assassin's Creed game on a smaller-scale and it will mainly focus on stealth.
