Serving as a direct sequel to 2019 reboot, upcoming first-person shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II by developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision is expected to tie-in with newest Warzone experience that will be revealed soon.
Although a set release date for Modern Warfare II is currently scheduled for October 28, 2022, players can get Early Access to campaign by simply pre-ordering any digital version of the game and start playing a week ahead of official launch.
Modern Warfare II full campaign becomes available to play for anyone who pre-order, starting from October 20, 2022. It allows you to complete all story-missions before a global release and access some in-game rewards before everyone.
Task Force 141 brings back many familiar characters like Captain John Price, Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley, Sergeant Kyle "Gaz" Garrick, Sergeant John "Soap" MacTavish, CIA Station Chief Kate Laswell as well as rebel leader Farah Karim.
Latest story campaign for MWII takes Task Force 141 to various missions across Asia, America and Europe against a greatest adversary. Players will engage in all-out explosive assaults, low-profile stealth missions and underwater combat.
Other than Early Access to Modern Warfare II campaign, pre-order gets you content to use in Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone. You will also receive Beta Early Access next month with a few unlockable in-game contents during launch.
Moreover, players get immediate access to Final Judgement Bundle, which includes Legendary Deathknell Operator skin and Bloodthirsty weapon blueprint to use in Vanguard and Warzone right away for digitally pre-ordering any version.
Modern Warfare II Vault Edition gets you Red Team 141 featuring four playable Operators for multiplayer; Ghost, Farah, Price and Soap. Each of these elite soldiers will be wearing a special masked outfit, which will be available since Beta.
Aside from previously mentioned rewards, Vault Edition pre-order allows access to FJX Cinder Weapon Vault. Also unlock Battle Pass for ongoing season with 50 Tier skips and Ghost Legacy Pack across Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019).
Open Beta is free for all but digital or retail pre-order can get you Early Access on all platforms, which will go live for two playable weekends. Weekend one comes first on PlayStation 4 and 5 systems, running through September 16-20, 2022.
Second weekend arrives on all platforms with cross-play feature enabled for everyone to play together regardless of their hardware. PC and Xbox players can join in from September 22 and keep enjoying Beta weekend until September 26.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will reveal more information at Call of Duty: Next digital event on September 15, 2022. Activision is likely to showcase multiplayer and a brand-new Warzone, which may eventually launch shortly after MWII.
