An official reveal of upcoming survival horror game The Last of Us Part I by developer Naughty Dog and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment during Summer Game Fest 2022 digital event was quickly followed with a number of leaks.

Despite having a mixed fan-reaction, Sony is slowly preparing to release The Last of Us Remake for PS5 early next month. A week ahead of launch, a brand-new The Last of Us Part I trailer has reveals details in-game accessibility features.

Naughty Dog releases new The Last of Us Part I trailer detailing accessibility features for players with disability.

Expanding upon their award-winning accessibility options, dev team has decided to utilize PS5's DualSense controller features in a new way, prioritizing blind, deaf or players with some motor accessibility to enjoy an excellent experience.

Game director Matthew Gallant reveals audio descriptions for cinematic are one of the biggest new feature. Naughty Dog has partnered with Descriptive Video Works to integrate this option for cut-scenes and across localized language.

Another excellent addition is playing dialogue through haptic feedback of DualSense controller, which allows a deaf player to feel how line is delivered and its overall emphasis with on-screen subtitle to articulate how the line is delivered.

Moreover, there are accessibility presets for players with a hearing, physical or vision disability. You can also opt out for alternative controls and fully customize your PS5 DualSense controller options to remap commands to diverse input.

A previous leak claimed that The Last of Us Remake will have no gameplay improvements but it will feature accessibility options introduced in The Last of Us Part II, which was later confirmed by Naughty Dog and they wanted to do more.

The Last of Us Part I is coming to PlayStation 5 soon while being in development for PC release as well. Regardless of newly added enhancements and features, fans are tagging TLoU Remake to be a deliberate cash grab attempt by Sony.
