Throughout past few months, there has been several rumors regarding a brand-new installment of classic survival horror franchise Silent Hill by Japanese developer/publisher Konami and many media outlets have corroborated to these leaks.

Konami never officially confirmed working on new Silent Hill game and has previously denied all reports that came out. Amidst fan-speculations, Silent Hill (2006) movie director recently claims that multiple games are already in development.

During a latest French video interview, original Silent Hill movie director Christophe Gans talked about multiple Silent Hill games being under development by several internal teams, according to a translated post on ResetEra gaming forums.

Gans stated that he knows a little bit about next Silent Hill game as he works with original Silent Team, creators of known series. Working in collaboration with Konami for new Silent Hill movie, he confirms some rumors about a series revival.

Christophe Gans, original Silent Hill movie director claims that Konami already has several new games in works.

I'm working with the Silent Team, the original creators at Konami, there are several games in development as we speak, there are several teams on it, with a big line of games, they will revive the franchise, I think they were really impressed of the success of the remakes of Resident Evil that are evidently exceptional games.

He claims that original Silent Hill creators are currently working on a number of games, possibly for a long-awaited series revival. Gans believes that Konami was really impressed by the success of Resident Evil Remake releases in recent years.

Interview comments of director Gans clearly matches with previously reported claims by media outlets in past few months. However, it is not clear whether he is simply repeating those stories or confirming them before Konami announces it.

Earlier last February, Polish developer Bloober Team hinted at working on long-dormant horror game franchise from a popular publisher. It led to rumors regarding Sony funding a PlayStation- exclusive Silent Hill game by Kojima Productions.

Konami reportedly greenlit a Silent Hill 2 Remake to be developed by Bloober Team, which may include multiple new endings. There is also an episodic Silent Hill "short stories" series currently in development and was leaked via rating board.
