Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon Announced

During an interview with Japanese gaming website 4Gamer, Soulsborne genre creator Hidetaka Miyazaki teased earlier that next game of developer From Software is currently in final stage of development alongside multiple other projects.

A ransomware leak at publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment revealed new Armored Core title and multiple games were in works. With a brand-new trailer, Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon unveiled today at The Game Awards 2022 event.

Bandai Namco and From Software announced Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, a new action game in popular mecha-based vehicular combat game series Armored Core, fully reimagined to reboot its long-running franchise after 10 years.

From Software intends to bring back iconic mech battle while reflecting on variety of gameplay aspects of their most recent action games. Armored Core 6 will merge these elements together for a revolutionary action gameplay experience.

Fires of Rubicon sets around a mysterious substance discovered in a remote planet that lead to a catastrophe. However, corporations and resistance factions are still fighting over getting their hands on the substance in a desperate struggle.

Armored Core VI is confirmed to arrive for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S sometime next year. Miyazaki initially served as game director and stepped over for Masaru Yamamura to helm the project.
