Having kept everyone waiting for years, upcoming action survival horror game Dead Island 2 by developer Dambuster Studios and publisher Deep Silver was re-revealed earlier and confirmed to be launched across all platforms next year.
Although many fans were let down by a sudden delay of long-awaited zombie slaying sequel to 2011 original game, Deep Silver promised to reveal an extended gameplay showcase event and highlight new details regarding Dead Island 2.
A gameplay showcase featuring Dead Island 2 weapons, zombies and more was released today by Deep Silver.
Dambuster and Deep Silver unveiled new gameplay footage, a live- action trailer and lot more at today's showcase. Latest trailer brings back and doubles down at brutality on undead crowd wandering around different places of HELL-A.
Player characters are already bitten but apparently immune from infection and ready to smash some zombie heads. Other than a host of melee weapons, you can also wield a burning katana on enemies and can upgrade them over time.
Whereas most infected people have become flesh-hungry zombies, you are in between turning into a mindless monster. Dead Island 2 lets you activate Fury mode and go into full primal state to channel your inner zombie powers in fight.
Players living in Canada, United Kingdom and United States will be able to enjoy the game with Alexa Game Control on PC and Xbox. It will allow players to perform various in-game actions by using various voice commands to slay in style.

Newly revealed HELL-A Edition is available for pre-order now, which includes an exclusive Amy collector's figurine, DI2 base game, Expansion Pass, Venice Beach travel map, steelbook with a physical game disc, two pin badges and more.
Dead Island 2 is currently set to release for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on April 28, 2023. Anyone who digitally pre-orders any edition will receive Memories of Banoi pack including two unique weapons.
