Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores DLC May Be Announced Soon

Despite heavy anticipation before its release, 2022 action role-playing game Horizon Forbidden West from developer Guerrilla Games and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment was largely overshadowed by Elden Ring during release.

Longtime series fans still enjoyed its single-player campaign and are eagerly waiting for a DLC to be revealed very soon. A reliable insider recently teased that DLC for Horizon Forbidden West is likely to be announced at The Game Awards.

Known leaker The Snitch has recently shared a cryptic image showing protagonist Aloy's Focus, an augmented reality device over San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles locations on a map and maybe hinting at Horizon II DLC settings.

These real-life locations are commonly known as Burning Shores in Forbidden West and newest tease could mean that upcoming DLC expansion for Horizon Zero Dawn sequel may take you to those previously unreachable locations now.

Another industry insider Tom Henderson suggests that Burning Shores DLC expansion could be released in April 2023. Burning Shores was mentioned a few times and described as a "place of flames and brine" set in south of Spinebreak.

Players who previously tried walking into Burning Shores in-game were told to "turn back", yet remains of Memorial Bridge and Hoover Dam can still be spotted from afar when you are riding on wings of an overridden Sunwing machine.

Forbidden West actor Lance Reddick (Destiny, Quantum Break) who portrayed and reprised his role of villainous character Sylens in two series entries have teased working on a DLC for latest sequel only to delete that Tweet afterwards.

Horizon Forbidden West DLC was accidentally hinted by a rating shared by VSC, an associate of PEGI rating system shortly after launch. Series fans are somewhat expecting a follow-up DLC to keep Horizon 2 relevant and explore further.
