Life is Strange 2 Coming to Nintendo Switch

Inspired by unexpected success of 2015 original, French developer Dontnod Entertainment and publisher Square Enix Europe started working on a sequel and released Life is Strange 2 through episodes for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Roughly four years after initial debut, Square Enix has announced to release Life is Strange 2 for Nintendo Switch on February 2, 2023. Owners of Nintendo handheld systems can already place their pre-order right now at Nintendo eShop.

Players will assume the role of brothers Sean and Daniel Diaz living in suburbs of Seattle before they flee from home after a terrible incident. Sean becomes responsible for Daniel's safety and shelter as they travel to cross Mexico border.

Shortly after wrapping up working on retail version of first game, Dontnod wanted to follow-up with same creative team by making a sequel. However, Life is Strange 2 tells a completely story that has no ties to its series predecessor title.

Square Enix has already released original Life is Strange and its prequel game Before the Storm in Life is Strange: Remastered Collection bundle last year for PC and last generation of consoles before eventually launching a Switch version.

Life is Strange 2 narrative-adventure adopts a road movie-esque style for people to experience Sean and Daniel's life on road. LiS series made its debut on Nintendo Switch handheld with Life is Strange: True Colors on December 7, 2021.
