RAGE 2 Officially Announced

It was only last week, when a Walmart’s listing leak lead to the news that sequel to 2011's first-person shooter from id Software and Bethesda Softworks is actually happening. Instead of shooting down the idea, they playfully trolled back at Walmart Canada by offering notes to improve design efforts on their placeholder listings. Then they started posting teaser image that clearly said RAGE 2 is coming until the reveal trailer got leaked as well just before the official release and now we are here.

The live-action cinematic trailer showcases a newly revamped world of RAGE 2 without hinting any clue about the game's plot.

The trailer looks like a hybrid clone made out of Mad Max: Fury Road movie and Borderlands game. Of course it officially confirms that we sure are getting a sequel to RAGE but at this point there was very little to not know about that. At first thanks to that Walmart listing, then Bethesda decides to be a sport by teasing for a few days on social media and then the leaked clip has done it all. Still, the official clip is a bit longer than the one which was leaked earlier but later taken down from YouTube.

If not all but many fans who waited for official confirmation for this project may have expected what they just saw, because a couple of punk-ass dancing and jumping around with big-guns amidst a confusing, pink atmosphere doesn't remind them of anything from the first game of the series. Since RAGE was developed to showcase their new game engine, perhaps the developer and publisher agreed upon going for a soft-reboot approach with this one like they did with Doom, Prey and Wolfenstein II.

If they are truly aiming for a revamp as the changes suggest, it may even turn out to be successful considering their previous track record. E3 is due for next month and we already halfway through May, 2018, so by then we can definitely wait for a full-length trailer to delve deeper into the game's plot maybe! In the trailer's closing card, they mentioned that a gameplay reveal will take place tomorrow, May 15.

The theorized comet will crash on and destroy Dusty Depot, which will be then called Dusty Divot in the aftermath of impact. Previously, everyone has predicted that the collision would target the Tilted Towers but ultimately, that was not the case. Considering it was a pretty big meteor, there are craters everywhere of the island where players are.

A new location in the Northeastern part of map called Risky Reels is introduced, where Battle Royale participants used to have their drive-in movie theater before the comet crashed. Since the Nintendo Switch version is a re-master, we can expect some high-end details of the graphics for the hybrid console. The original title was published by Microsoft Studios, which was the main reason for the game remaining an exclusive for PC and Xbox 360.

Below is the announcement trailer from Nintendo, showcasing the quick glimpse of the upcoming Mark of the Ninja Remastered for Nintendo Switch in a short video clip.

With the Switch port on the way, this will be the first time when this awesome action stealth game from Klei Entertainment will be available on a different console. Mark of the Ninja is not your typical Ninja warrior taking down horde of bad-guys with his sick moves or shooting stars. Instead, the game has a good back-story for players who care for some aside from some hide and seek sport with your enemies. Plus, stealth has a major part in your overall gameplay.

We certainly have high hopes that this great game will silently sneak into the Nintendo eShop soon and make everyone addictive for the experience regardless of veterans and newbie. The way Nintendo's next-gen portable console is making a progress in market; it was a great strategic move for Klei Entertainment to bring one of their greatest games on board. This also raises our hopes for seeing Shank and Shank 2 from the same studio ported for the platform.

Fortnite Season 3 Battle Pass Announced

A trailer from Epic Games for Battle Pass Season 3 of Fortnite's Battle Royale mode is recently released highlighting key-aspects of it.

The v.3.0.0 update of Fortnite lets you play the game in 60 FPS mode for all major consoles and with that, PC gamers are not the only privileged group to enjoy those higher frame-rates. Now, those Victory Royales can be celebrated in clearer resolution served in absolute smoothness. You can just snap between this 60 FPS mode and your regular 30 FPS graphics at any time during the game. Epic Games is still working on it to improve this tweak for players.

One of the key-thing you do for survival in Battle Royale mode is to build and we need not to discuss it why! Building is no longer boring and tiresome task anymore. Now the system has been improved so that you can keep building by just holding a button. Also, you can just continue your build through a tree on the way or almost anything and that is how life is easier than before.

One Piece: World Seeker Announcement Trailer

Bandai Namco has recently revealed that their long time secret project under the name “Project Dawn” was actually an open-world action adventure video game based on the hit Japanese manga and anime series One Piece. Titled "World Seeker", this game was originally planned to release in Japan for PlayStation 4 but then Namco changed their mind and decided to bring Monkey D. Luffy and his band of Straw Hat Pirates to America and Europe for PC and Xbox One as well.

RELATED: One Piece: World Seeker Announced

These are some news that got out a few days ago and Bandai Namco was generous enough to release a few high-quality screenshots of this upcoming game. They showed the first announcement trailer at Jump Festa 2018, Tokyo and even though the trailer was short, it makes the One Piece fans truly happy.

Previously, the trailer was shown to the audience of the venue on the screen, which was the only available footage from the game but now we have a better look at it. One Piece: World Seeker seems to be set on One Piece-like in-game universe where our lovable protagonist Luffy feels like home. Just as we saw him travel throughout the world and take on new adventures all these years on the pages of manga or on anime, he does the same on World Seeker.

Instead of having the hand-drawn animation feeling of Luffy and his band of Straw Hat Pirates, the in-game design is more 3D-esque but that's not essentially a bad thing. Though Bandai Namco couldn't release the game this year, which was the 20th anniversary of the One Piece manga, they made sure that the fans of the Straw Hat Pirates at least gets a look at the upcoming title.

One Piece: World Seeker is going to be released on some point of 2018 and it will be available to play on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game will see first opening debut on Japan for PlayStation 4 and then the western release will see it hitting on two other consoles afterwards.

While there are not much details for Mega Man 11 at hand except that the game will be available to play on Nintendo Switch,  PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. We have a trailer at hand to show you a brief peek at what's coming in the upcoming title though. Check it out.

One thing is certain that, Mega Man 11 will still remain a 2D side-scrolling action adventure title. In fact, you can even consider it as 2.5D. What we were able to gather was that while the game will resemble to the predecessors of the series in looks, it will be modernized and a noticeable change in art style will be there. Our hero, Mega Man's appearance might even slightly change and he will have a new weapon as well. In this way, the game is re-invented and fans from both older and newer generation can enjoy it at the same time.

Newest Side-Scrolling Adventure

The year 2018 will not only see the release of the latest installment of the Mega Man series but it will also be celebrated for Mega Man’s 30th anniversary. To increase that excitement a little more, all eight games from the Mega Man X series are coming to PlayStation 4 on the same year. So, you can also go back to your old days with those games while you wait for Mega Man 11 to release. Sounds like a plan!

When a series has 30 years of enriched history of being adorned by fans and players worldwide, we only hope from Capcom to bring their very best with Mega Man 11 and nothing less. Since the title is still on the development stage, we have to hold our excitement for the moment and wait for the revealing of the release date for 2018.
