Far Cry 5 Game Awards 2018 Teaser

Ubisoft goes full post-apocalyptic with Far Cry series in a new teaser trailer for The Game Awards 2018.

The latest installment of action-adventure first-person shooter game series Far Cry from developer/publisher Ubisoft was Far Cry 5 that came out earlier this year and became one of the fastest-selling games of the franchise despite controversy.

Now, ahead of The Game Awards 2018, Ubisoft has unveiled a brand-new cinematic trailer for their upcoming project as a follow-up to the series that has a post-apocalyptic vibe. Though the video doesn't give away much, we can still sum up a few part on our own.

Take a look at this video of upcoming Far Cry project/sequel with a short narrative below released this afternoon.

Though, we don't have much details on our hand to work with, the teaser surely looks like it is connected to FC5 and may even serve up a follow-up sequel, whereas all of the previous games from the series came out as standalone releases.

The opening shot of the teaser shows us a farmhouse across wheat fields and mountains in the distance, which has a striking resemblance to Hope County, Montana. Then a sudden nuclear explosion goes off on the horizon with a blinding light and a mushroom cloud blooming.

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING CONTAINS POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR FAR CRY 5.

Everything goes up in flame and the wheat fields get destroyed as we see it happen in slow motion. Then years after, that place saw blue sky but the world that emerged from the husk of the old one is not the one that had any hope in it.

You cannot make something concrete out of these vague images for sure but the nuclear meltdown event most probably is the one we saw from the ending of Far Cry 5. It seems that a mixture of Fallout and RAGE 2 is coming this way by the looks of it.

Now, we will have to wait some more to get a full reveal of the new game at The Game Awards event to know whether Ubisoft is sending players on post-apocalyptic journey into post-nuclear Montana by moving far from the rest of the series or go to another direction.

Taking in account that it hasn't been a full year since Far Cry 5 was released and launching multiple DLC packs already, the company is ready to work with the same IP is quite interesting. We just hope the reveal excites us and everyone in the end by offering fans another spectacular open-world sandbox.

Star Wars: Clone Wars Voice Cast Returns for Battlefront II

Key voice actors from Star Wars: The Clone Wars series will reprise their roles for upcoming Star Wars Battlefront II content.

Fans of Star Wars hold Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated television series on high regard and thanks to the #BringBackCloneWars movement, we can now even hope for an upcoming Season 7 to release on Disney's streaming service.

Before the series return with an all-new glory, you have prior chance to get nostalgic with the involved cast. According to a recent announcement, some of the voice actors from the series are returning to their original roles for new content of action shooter game Star Wars Battlefront II.

As one of their notable feature, Battlefront II offers players to assume the role of popular Star Wars characters from prequel, original and sequel trilogies, thus bridging all three era of the franchise aside from a unique playable campaign.

Expansions and updates released for the game till date includes a limited time Ewok Hunt game mode in Night on Endor from Return of the Jedi and Han Solo content to celebrate the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story movie earlier this year.

Back in June, developer EA DICE and publisher Electronic Arts decided to include new content for the game related to Clone Wars, which essentially bridges the three years gap between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith movie.

The four voice actors from the original series; James Arnold Taylor, Matt Lanter, Corey Burton and Matthew Wood would return to voice for Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Count Dooku and General Grievous respectively in the Clone Wars DLC.

If you have looked at the track record of Star Wars Battlefront II, then you already know that the game received heavy backlash even before the release for including loot boxes and micro-transactions, which even caused their stock price to drop.

Including a Clone Wars DLC featuring the original voice casts from the TV show not only brings new level of detail to the game but also intensifies the hype (Darth Vader's heavy breathing sound) of the upcoming season that still awaits an official release date.

Wolfenstein 3 Confirmed

Pete Hines of Bethesda has confirmed that Wolfenstein 3 is surely in works while Youngblood will come as a spin-off.

Last year, developer Machine Games and publisher Bethesda Softworks released Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, the latest installment of the widely popular action-adventure first-person shooter series.

Though started from Castle Wolfenstein in 1981, the franchise took a soft reboot to change the course of timeline in 2014 with Wolfenstein: The New Order. Bethesda has recently confirmed for worrying fans of the series worldwide that Wolfenstein III is definitely happening.

Over the course of more than three decades of history, the series spawned many sequels and took at least two reboots. This year at E3 press conference, Wolfenstein: Youngblood is revealed through a brand-new trailer for 2019, where twins Jessica and Sophia Blazkowicz, daughters of series protagonist William "B.J." Blazkowicz takes the wheel.

Since the story is set in a future where BJ is missing, many fans thought that the Blazkowicz daughter would carry the torch from now on.

However, they can rest assured that Youngblood is just a standalone spinoff title and not a mainline release. Other than that, Vice president of global marketing and communications for Bethesda, Pete Hines have revealed in a recent interview with Metro that they are indeed on board with Wolfenstein III.

With Youngblood, the studio is just taking a break from larger story at this time, nothing else. We are pretty sure that fans of the Nazi-slaying franchise would really appreciate that.

Many fans have raised their concerns when Wolfenstein II had to deal with somewhat average sales and wondered that the series may have come to an end or on the verge of another reboot. Hines agreed that definitely the title could have done a lot better than it did but they are still bringing BJ Blazkowicz back in action.

In past, other single-player games from the company like Dishonored and Prey were met with lesser than expected sales and is currently on hold though.

On that note, they stated that Arkane Studios is busy with a number of other projects at this moment and Bethesda has a number of upcoming titles like Doom Eternal, Fallout 76 and RAGE 2 in pipeline before they get busy with the long-awaited Starfield.

Despite confirmation from Pete Hines, we need some official announcement just to be sure about their claim. So, we are eagerly waiting now for Walmart Canada or any other leaked sources to help us dig some more about it.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout Battle Royale Reveal

Battle Royale mode Blackout for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 finally unveils their first impressive look.

When this years' release from Call of Duty franchise was revealed as Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, people was most excited to know about a Battle Royale mode, Blackout which was about to change the course of the genre.

Finally, developer Treyarch and publisher Activision has unveiled a first look at the most anticipated game mode from their upcoming multiplayer first-person shooter title and from the initial look at it, we know one thing for sure and that it is going to be epic.

The combat in Blackout Battle Royale mode covers land, air and water with an intention to make it as big as possible. When it finally hits PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, players are open to explore iconic multiplayer maps like Cargo, Hydro, Nuketown and Turbine.

Rather than putting barbed wire barricades or throwing explosives, playing with your best tactics can be your only savior. Adding chopper to vehicular combat was the next best idea after unleashing hordes of zombies into the fight.

Considering the game have to compete with already established Battle Royale titles like Fortnite and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, developers tried hard to create their own version better.

A maximum of 80 players can take part in a match at a time and whereas that number is not the biggest among other titles, Black Ops 4 surpasses any other titles in terms of vehicles and weapons variety. The game will be launched on October 12 and Blackout beta will start first on PS4 from September 10.

Although, Activision is not the first company to bring out Battle Royale games to the market but it looks like they sure are going to reinvent the field by setting a new level though "Blackout" if Battlefield V somehow fails to impress with the same type of game mode "Firestorm".

In the beginning, the absolute removal of any campaign mode from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was quite shocking for many fans but by the looks of it, Treyarch has really tried hard to compensate for that.

Activision released a new official trailer for Shadow War DLC, showcasing major features it is packed with and challenges you are going to face.

Lead developers wanted players to have all the thrills they can get and be as creative they can be playing the Multiplayer modes. So, Shadow War added three new maps; Airship, Chancellery and Excavation, all placed within major enemy territory. Players are sent to fight for control over the docked zeppelin near a secret enemy camp on Alps in Airship map. This one is quite a risky venture while running through cliffs but there are some vantage points you can utilize for sneak attacks.

Get ready to have some epic night-time action inside a French Chancellery in the second map. The main courtyard of enemy base should be your point of focus as you provide cover for your team. You can always calmly wait in the back of those trucks in the courtyard and whenever someone comes within your range, you can greet them as you like. Excavation map is the next one, set in an Algerian mine where arts and gold are stockpiled by enemy and you are to drop there for loot.

New War Mode Mission that we talked about earlier is called Operation Arcane, which will take you to Austrian mountains with a task to infiltrate a secret enemy research facility full of UFOs. Regardless of whatever evil plan they are cooking, you got to retrieve those secrets and schematics before burning that place to the ground. Players can use special weapons like Tesla Gun and mysterious super soldier serums to get you health five times than normal while boosting you melee attacks.

Finally, the story of Call of Duty: WWII Nazi Zombies get wrapped up in the final chapter, Frozen Dawn. Drostan, Jefferson, Marie and Olivia returns once again to face a new evil threat from a lost city. Apparently, Sword of Barbarossa did not stop the undead nightmare and the remains of Thule Society still remain at large. To preserve humanity’s last hope, our heroes equip with the finest weapons to confront a darker menace in the game’s Nazi Zombies mode and uncover buried secrets.

Great news is that, players who don't own the Season Pass or the Shadow War DLC can still become a part of the experience if the ones who own the above arrange an in-game party and invite other friends to join in. However, this feature will be limited to Multiplayer maps and War Mode mission only. Party leader and his pals can battle their way through August 28 to October 28. This is indeed a great initiative from Activision for letting more players to take part together and possibly purchase it later.

Call of Duty: WWII went on to become a best-seller title over consoles after it came out in 2017 and currently is available to play on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Shadow War will be releasing on August 28 for PS4 first as a timed exclusive due to a contract with Sony. No release date for other two platforms is revealed yet but we believe the date will be a month later, possibly September 28.

To get the secret ending, you will start with Arthur Hastings' story after the game begins and he will be running his Redactor device to check and remove reference sources of tragedies regarding mind-altering campaigns of Wellington Wells. He will come across an article that refers to a tragic past regarding his younger brother Percy. This presents a quick turn of events to players with a choice to take a hallucinogenic drug known as "Joy" to remove his sadness or try to think freely.

To go ahead and see what challenges the world of WHF has in store for you; most players would refrain from taking the pill. On the contrary, if Arthur ends up taking the Joy pill, he will go back to his happy life without ever meeting other playable characters Sally and Ollie to dig deep about the dark secrets the city hides from everyone. In recent memory, similar hidden ending was found in Ubisoft's action-adventure FPS title Far Cry 5, where you could see the game end in 10 minutes.

If the idea of playing though the entire plot in a British dystopia of 60's doesn't seem that appealing to you at all then you can always take the low road and get away. Of course, any gamer under normal circumstances would generally want to go through the entire story of the game once they get their hands on it but for some unknown reason, Compulsion Games decided to let people take a quick exit. So, anyone is looking for a quick way out to end credits, you know now how to get there.

Adding this secret ending was a fine nod to display how an indulged populace has become a social norm these days and how taking less aggressive actions can sometime get you out of situations. We Happy Few entered Steam's Early Access program after a successful Kickstarter crowd funding campaign and upon being delayed back in January, they even offered a refund. Finally, things were sorted out when Microsoft Studios acquired the studio and helped them launch the game on 10 August 2018.

Compulsion Games introduces We Happy Few’s final playable character Ollie Starkey.

Developer Compulsion Games along with publisher Gearbox Publishing and Microsoft Studios will take you to a tour of alternate reality 60's English town Wellington Wells in We Happy Few to assume different roles of an enlightened citizen, who is trying to escape the surroundings of drug-induced inhabitants after discovering deep dark secrets of it no one tells you about. Just like Arthur and Sally, Ollie had an awakening about the fact that the retro-futuristic city they live in has some terrible dark past and a hallucinogenic drug known as "Joy" is doing that. Being a mad Scotsman and ex-soldier, he is not liked by everyone around him and he hates television celebrity Uncle Jack but he has an invisible friend though. Despite pitted against all odds, he did keep his Scottish heritage intact and even managed to survive in the Garden District nearing old train station.

On their take on Ollie's character, art director Whitney Clayton wanted to go for someone who is a tough nut to crack. While he is still wearing his old military jacket and old army boots, he is more than a soldier who notices the anomaly of his society. Although he may not remember all of his past in entirety, he finds purpose in life upon discovering secrets of the Victory Memorial Camp. Like the other two playable figures, Ollie Starkey has his unique perks and abilities that will help him uncover the truth.

The journey of the game begin with a Kickstarter campaign and then to Early Access on Steam, where it faced some delay that led the developers into removing the game entirely from Valve's digital distribution platform and offer refunds. People are so busy with the anticipation of upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 these days from first-person shooter Call of Duty series, they have stopped talking about one of the best-selling titles of 2017, Call of Duty: WWII. So, Activision and Sledgehammer Games decided to shake things up a little bit and so, they announced a limited-time community event titled "Days of Summer" with lots of brand-new content to keep you busy during summer time and try to cool off at the same time.

For those who like big things in small packages, there is a new map called Sandbox, where players will be inside of an actual sandbox, fighting as a green tiny toy soldier made of plastic. You get to explore in a beach area throughout huge sandcastles and find yourself in an environment, which is clearly unlike anything you have ever experienced in CoD: WWII. Those toy army men are available in green and gray color that actually makes everyone from a same team look indifferent.

As you are about to wander into the beach area, you will notice many props of summertime the development team has added for fun and then there is Captain Butcher. He's about to give you some trouble with his magnifying glass and will be burning the center of the map. So, you just cannot go out there and shoot around. Now, aside from combating your opponents in a sandy landscape between buckets, hose pipes and giant rubber duckie, you have to watch your back on your own.

Days of Summer event also brings back aerial dogfighting mode, which got updated and has new features in it now. A War Mode mission known as Operation Husky from the game's DLC Pack 2, where there was a final objective to complete and it was a dogfight. Previously, there were environmental obstacles that would not let you fly over the skies of Egyptian Pyramids or Crimean Mountains. However, they made it possible to fly above clouds with your zeppelins to rule the blue.

Three new summer-themed weapons, Ribeyrolles SMG, 3-Line sniper rifle and the Automaton are introduced as part of the timed event. Varieties of themed gears are rolled in to pack your arsenal as you join the battle. The event will end on August 28 and Sandbox map will come to PlayStation 4 first before PC and Xbox One. Instead of latching on to the serious tone of WWII, Days of Summer community event actually takes things easily and encourages players to be a little silly while they can.

Compulsion Games introduces mysterious playable character Sally Boyle from We Happy Few.

Away from only little longer than a week, psychedelic horror game We Happy Few from Compulsion Games, Gearbox Publishing and Microsoft Studios is scheduled to launch on 10 August, 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox One X. The developer and publishers have already unveiled first playable character Arthur Hastings from the game, who is an everyday common man. Now, another mysterious character of Sally Boyle is about to join the roster of players this week.

One of the few people that see through the dark history of the city of Wellington Wells is Sally Boyle and she is in a race against time to run away from her terrible neighbors. While the artificially-enthused society around her constantly wants her to indulge in a hallucinogenic drug known as "Joy", she is looking for a way out of this forced madness upon them. For her grooviest fashion sense, Sally is deemed as a wonderful girl in this alternative reality, retro-futuristic city of 1960's England.

Aside from being a chemist who assists one of the doctors in creating Joy, she is very dazzling and witty. During her character design process, art director Whitney Clayton wanted her to be both a clever chemist and an iconic social figure that everyone knows. However, her glamorous and smart outlook is just a front to hide her secret past that can get her killed if it ever comes out. Her unique appearance and stance is heavily inspired by 60's fashion models like Twiggy and Edie Sedgwick.
