Humble Bundle Halloween Sale 2018

The Halloween Sale 2018 from Humble Bundle is here to knock your socks off with spooky discounts and an awful lot of different games.

Halloween seem to be looking more festive than ever because of all the crazy sale offer going on everywhere and we've seen some pretty slick deals on horror games online. For the past few days, we've been watching and found the greatest deal of them all.

The digital storefront of Humble Bundle has some of the best assortment of titles for this year's Halloween that leaps beyond the wall of horror genre and rain on discounted price on so many games from different categories that it really is hard to keep track of.

The list is so big itself that we couldn't possibly list all of them in here but we thought we would pick up the ones that offer the best value in their current reduced price. So, we are picking titles from every sort and not limiting ourselves to just spooky titles. Also, any game you pick from this Halloween Sale 2018 will get you Murderous Pursuits for FREE too!

The cheapest game you can find within this huge bonanza is Friday the 13th: The Game for a 85% price off. Limbo and Zombi comes right next to it at 80%, whereas Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs and Amnesia: The Dark Descent is up for grabs at 75%.

Entire horror first-person shooter trilogy of F.E.A.R., F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin and F.E.A.R. 3 come at 75% only. Bioshock: The Collection, Outlast, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 5 (Standard or Gold Edition), Resident Evil 6 are part of the same deal.

At 70% off, Dead Rising Franchise Pack will get you both Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 3 Apocaypse Edition or you can even pick up the original Dead Rising game for the same reduced rate. Same thing goes for the next two installments for buying separately.

We are not much sure about recommending Killing Floor, Soma, XCOM 2 and Zombie Army Trilogy from the same bid though. Both survival horror title Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster and original Resident Evil HD Remaster goes up on 60%.

The base game of Dead by Daylight has offered 50% and there is a bunch of add-on content from the game as well as Dying Light that put forward 33-35% at best. We leave these completely on you. Outlast 2 however, is a nice catch at a whopping 70%.

Titles like 7 Days to Die (64%), Dead Rising 4 (30%), For Honor (33%), Killing Floor 2 (67%), Prey (50%), Resident Evil 7 (35%) and Vampyr (33%) are either not worth going for at this reduction rate because they are worth the wait for a greater deal.

We also opted out from picking some of the games from the sale even though they had a serious discount slapped on them, simply because they weren't worth the bucks for this festive season. Nevertheless, you don't need to be influenced by us and can still pick them up if you really want to.

Steam Halloween Sale 2018

To offer you great spooky titles for the best price, Steam Halloween Sale 2018 is here and lasts till November 1.

In case if your Halloween plans are not including being chased by Michael Myers while you hide behind the curtains or even go trick or treating dressing up, you can definitely celebrate this holiday with some good old selection of horror games.

Unless you have signed up for a selected lineup of games for Halloween terror from PlayStation Now or over Xbox Game Pass, you can always rely on other digital storefronts like Humble Bundle or Steam to get your hands on a slew of great games.

Speaking of which, Valve's digital distribution platform Steam has arranged a Halloween-themed sale that everyone who loves horror can enjoy. Basically any game that is dark and scary or has even a remote connection with either of those is in it and it runs from October 29 to November 1.

Currently, games like Darkest Dungeon, 7 Days to Die, Graveyard Keeper, Hunt: Showdown, Shadow of the Tomb Raider (we have no clue why), The Forest and We Happy Few are taking the their spot on top seller list.

Whereas titles such as Dead by Daylight, Dying Light, Killing Floor 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Rocket League (because of a themed seasonal event), Vampyr and Warhammer: Vermintide 2 remains at the bottom feeder position of that list.

Rest of the games from their assortment is a pure gold mine for any horror fans and some of those discount rates are a real Halloween treat for sure. Let us mention some of them and then decide yourself whether or not you agree with us. We are okay with that.

In terms of great deal of price cut, we would like to mention Alien: Isolation, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, BioShock Remastered, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition, Dead Island Definitive Edition and Friday the 13th: The Game.

We would also like to include Grim Dawn, Inside, Limbo, Metro Redux Bundle, Outlast 2, Prey, Resident Evil 7, The Evil Within and Zombie Army Trilogy. However, not all of the above mentioned games may are worth the bucks they are offering you now.

Our suggestion is that you get Darkest Dungeon (-70%), Killing Floor 2 (-67%) and L4D2 (-80%) from the top seller list for the best value of your money. Then if you are ready to spend more, we would like to add a few more, from which you can even drop some.

Whether you pick or leave Friday the 13th: The Game (-85%) is up to you but try to consider picking from Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Castlevania: LoS 2, Darksiders II, Limbo and Zombie Army Trilogy as all of these five games are on 80% off.

For 75% off, Alien: Isolation, BioShock Remastered, Metro Redux Bundle and/or Outlast 2 can be yours. Dead Island Definitive Edition and Grim Dawn both comes for a 70% discount, which we would consider a decent deal but leaving them behind won't be a crime either.

The perks of getting your hands into this seasonal sale is that not only you will be claiming some of the great games in your library but many of these titles are having limited time Halloween-themed event that has its unique appeal to this spirit of holiday.

Limbo and Inside Coming to Nintendo Switch

Two of the puzzle-platformer games from recent years by developer Playdead are heading to Nintendo Switch later this month.

Two of the most popular yet underrated puzzle-platformer video games of recent times from Danish developer Playdead are Limbo (2010) and Inside (2016). After conquering every other major gaming platform like iOS, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, these titles are currently available on a few other devices as well. Now, the only place they needed to step on is Nintendo Switch and Playdead is bringing them on Nintendo's next gen console next week, on June 28.

Back in 2010, the developers released Limbo as a black-and-white 2D platformer through Xbox Live Arcade and it has managed to garner positive reviews despite lacking a minimal story background. Because of an impressive sales record, the game was then ported to literally every other modern gaming platform including Android, iOS, Linux and Mac. Then a seven years gap took in before Inside debuted on Xbox One exclusively a week before PC and fellow consoles as its spiritual successor.

The success of the first game made an impact to people's mind about what they are about to get in a follow-up game and Inside was praised even more for creating a compelling platforming experience with improved art, subtle plot and portrayal of a world shrouded in darkness. Inside has toned down the gory parts and delivered a lesser graphic rendition of events. Moving away from its predecessor's solid monochromatic color schemes, it chose to slightly highlight parts of the surrounding.

The Switch release announcement was recently made by Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu on Twitter, which developer Playdead has Retweeted later to confirm.

Following the E3 2018 press conference, list of upcoming Nintendo games announced for Switch is growing exponentially. Amidst the middle of battle royale game Fortnite heading to this console and Mario Tennis Aces releasing a multiplayer demo, ports from Playdead seemed to be forgotten until Famitsu reminded it to everyone. Besides, any of Limbo and Inside were never been ported to any Nintendo hardware and given their history of releasing for every available console, it was only about time they head to Switch.
