Mortal Kombat 11 Adds Noob Saibot

Former Sub-Zero and NetherRealm wraith Noob Saibot makes his debut with first DLC character Shang Tsung in a brand-new Mortal Kombat 11 reveal trailer.

In an ongoing thread of official player reveal for upcoming 2.5D fighting game Mortal Kombat 11, developer NetherRealm Studios and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has added many fan-favorites to the roster of playable characters.

One thing you can't get enough in Mortal Kombat franchise is Ninja assassins and they are significantly related to the lore. One such original fighter from the first game, Noob Saibot has returned to take part in latest MK tournament.

Once the original Sub-Zero, Noob Saibot faces off against his brother and current master of absolute zero, Kuai Liang for a match, drawing a scythe from his chest. He states at Kuai Liang that he is disappointed at him only to get the same remarks in return.

Of course the fan-favorite shadow warrior is here to display his kombat skills and thus, his Lin Kuei assassin opponent had to go through a lot of beating. Aside from typical bone-crashing punches and kicks, he uses his shadowy form to hit hard.

Though he briefly engages Cassie Cage and Dark Raiden in combat in between, his primarily gameplay action is set to unleash his moves on his younger brother that would eventually lead towards a Fatal Blow, followed by a Fatality finish.

After teleporting and slamming Sub-Zero into the ground for several times, he hooked the opponent through chin before ripping his belly and passing his shadow twin using his wraith power to tear open his enemy from inside.

As the first DLC fighter of MK11, Master Sorcerer Shang Tsung has been introduced lately and actor Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, who originally portrayed the character in 1995 live-action MK movie, is providing voice and likeness for this sub-boss.

NetherRealm Studios previously announced of adding primary series antagonist Shao Kahn as pre-order bonus character and now, addition of this deadly sorcerer makes it two. Many fans are also requesting for Pennywise and Spawn to be included as well.

Mortal Kombat 11 Adds Kotal Kahn

Brand-new Mortal Kombat 11 reveal trailer pits Outworld Emperor Kotal Khan against Jacqui Briggs for a showdown.

Fans of Mortal Kombat fighting game series has been eagerly waiting on the edge of their seats for Mortal Kombat 11 by developer NetherRealm Studios and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to launch on April 2018.

Just after they announced official dates for closed beta program worldwide on consoles, the game reveals one of its recently introduced dreaded antagonists Kotal Kahn for upcoming MK11 tournament in a brand-new reveal trailer.

Kotal enters the arena by shapeshifting into his humanoid form after lunging in as a lion-like creature against Special Forces member Jacqui Briggs, both showing their typical demeanor as Emperor of Outworld and professional Olympic boxer.

After taking a few hits and a punch on his face, the Osh-Tekk warrior initially delivers an intense beat down Earthrealm fighter by swinging his sword down on her to slam her to ground, sawing a little, drink her blood and even burned her with God Ray.

It was seemingly an endgame for Jacqui at that point but she quickly turns the tides of the fight by retaliating with barrage of pounding on Kahn. A few more blasts and pummeling off her gauntlets eventually enabled her to defeat her opponent.

She sets up the stage for a Fatality move with her Fatal Blow, which is to push Kahn against an energy wall before shooting him down with her Hand Cannon and then kicking him so hard that he smashed onto the wall, breaking it.

Both debuting back in Mortal Kombat X, Kotal Kahn hails from Outworld and is also known as Ko'atal, whereas Jacqueline "Jacqui" Briggs on the other hand is the first African-American female fighter in the franchise and a friend of Cassie Cage.

A direct sequel to MKX, Mortal Kombat 11 is expecting to arrive for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on April 23, 2019. However, the Switch version will see launch in May 10 for European region after it was delayed previously.

Beta program will see launch on 8:00 AM PT/11:00 AM EST Wednesday, March 27 and will end on 11:59 PM PT/2:59 AM EST Sunday, March 31. However, everyone else out of Pacific Time range will continue playing till April 1 throughout the world.

Due to complicacy of different time zones, schedule time frame may seem complicated to some but considering what Anthem and The Division 2 players got earlier, NetherRealm did a fine job at planning a timetable that ensures everyone to roughly get the same amount of time.

Another thing to note here is that MK11 beta does not include PC and Switch platform except for Microsoft and Sony consoles. Excluding PC users from the arrangement is most probably due to an attempt to avoid advance leaks through data-mining.

After four years of hiatus, Mortal Kombat 11 is looking forward a massive opening next month as a sequel to Mortal Kombat X and developers are not done revealing more fighter characters added to the already impressive roster of MK franchise.

Mortal Kombat 11 Adds Johnny Cage

Action movie star from Hollywood, martial artist Johnny Cage of Earthrealm joins the expanding roster of Mortal Kombat 11.

Since upcoming 2.5D fighting game Mortal Kombat 11 is only months away from releasing worldwide, developer NetherRealm Studios and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment are on full swing with their character reveal trailers.

After revealing participating fighters Baraka, D'Vorah, Geras, Jade, Kabal, Kano, Raiden, Scorpion, Skarlet, Sonya Blade and Sub-Zero for the roster of MK11, it was eventually time for action movie star Johnny Cage to kick in to show off his moves.

During his display for fighting abilities against Baraka, Kabal and Scorpion, Johnny goes all in with a variant rendition of his regular chops from Mortal Kombat X and then adding some newfound ridiculous ones in the mix as well.

Cage brings back his brass knuckle punches, Fisticuffs, green fireballs and shadow kicks only to complement his Fatal Blow where he bash his competitor with Oscar for Best Actor in the skull, leading to his Fatality move Deadly Uppercut.

Game director Ed Boon even took his Twitter account to post a short clip of Johnny Cage confronting his ex-lover Sonya Blade, who decides to poke fun before getting into a match and she doesn't hold back at all while taunting.

Of course, no finishing move in Mortal Kombat series ever makes sense but the one Cage decides to go with really feels like a weird gore that tries to be funny. Salvaged from a Mortal Kombat 2 glitch, Johnny tries to punch the head off his rival over and over before succeeding at last.

Mortal Kombat 11 is currently scheduled to launch on April 23, 2019 for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms. However, European market would have to wait till May 10 for the Switch version to see release.

Mortal Kombat 11 Adds Jade

As an undead Revenant warrior from Netherrealm, classic fighter Jade joins the growing roster of Mortal Kombat 11.

Following an official announcement at The Game Awards 2018, upcoming 2.5D fighting game Mortal Kombat 11 from developer NetherRealm Studios and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has said to have 25 playable characters during release.

We have seen many series favorite return to action for the latest installment that is set to launch on April 23, 2019 for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. One of the newest additions to MK11 roster is revealed to be Edenian assassin Jade.

Joining the conflict with her fierce combat skills, official reveal trailer for Jade displays her amazing movesets from the game.

Swinging her green bo staff, this deadly warrior enters the arena as an undead Revenant and in her first fight against Baraka, she goes all out on the Tarkatan tribe war chief by beating the living hell out of him with her attack moves.

Then she stabbed down his spine and slashed his throat before sticking a knife on his head. In time for performing a fatality, Jade impales Baraka with her bo staff through his bloody head, popping his left eye out and then cutting his lower body apart.

RELATED: Mortal Kombat 11 Reveal Event

She shows almost the same ruthlessness against Skarlet and Sonya Blade on two different matches by crushing their bones and ripping them apart. A great deal of her moves comes from her iconic staff weapon with occasional use of blades every now and then.

After appearing in Mortal Kombat II as a hidden fighter, Jade eventually became playable in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and almost instantly became a fan-favorite. In 2011 reboot of Mortal Kombat, her character was killed off in story mode.

RELATED: Nintendo Direct February 2019

However, she is resurrected by an evil sorcerer and now back from the dead to fight once again. Her arrival may also be a heralding the return of Kitana and Mileena to the franchise as well, because many character slots are still empty.

Although she was not present in Mortal Kombat X except for a cameo, developer Netherrealm decided to bring Jade back for Mortal Kombat 11 to complete their ambitious roster. Hopefully, fans were delighted to see her coming back only months before the title releases.

The inevitable announcement of the newest title promised to provide more details on the game during a community event on January 17, 2019 and the entire jam-packed show gave us a lot of information to get hyped up about the game until it releases.

The trailer marks the return of Baraka, Skarlet, Sonya Blade and Sub-Zero back to the newest conflict of MK franchise, each in a newly redefined avatar. Not only their outlook is changed, their moveset has been polished if not better than before.

Following the ending of Mortal Kombat X, a defeated Shinnok was taken in by the protector of Earthrealm to the Jinsei Chamber and endlessly torturing the old sorcerer. The fallen antagonist then points out to his captor that wearing his amulet, Raiden has changed for better.

Image Comics' Spawn May Appear In Mortal Kombat 11

Mortal Kombat 11 is returning to the skull-crushing, blood-soaked glory of the series in 2019 and artist Todd McFarlane hints Spawn might be in it.

After taking a long, hard way from E3 2018 to the nearing end of the year, developer NetherRealm Studios revealed upcoming Mortal Kombat 11 from their decades old fighting game series Mortal Kombat at The Game Awards 2018 event.

The official reveal trailer already gave us the showoff between Raiden and Scorpion. In fact, there might be different versions of them. Recently, veteran comic-book creator Todd McFarlane (Haunt, Venom) hinted that his popular creation Spawn might even join in.

The titular franchise has started its journey back in 1992 and released more than twenty games so far. McFarlane also created Spawn in the same year for Image Comics and it has grown a distinct identity within the comic book community.

Aside from his indie works, he served as an artist for Marvel Comics and during his stint on Spider-Man ongoing series; he co-created a villain character with David Michelinie for the hero named Venom, who became an immensely popular anti-hero.

While doing an AMA on Reddit in anticipation for the Blu-ray and DVD release of the Venom live-action movie, McFarlane teased possibility of the arrival of his creation into the mix of MK warriors.

As he joined the discussion, a member of the social news site asks him if he would let Spawn be in Mortal Kombat 11 and he responded by saying, "I believe he's on his way...", which is the closest we can get as a confirmation at this point.

Previously, the series included popular characters from horror movies like Jason Voorhees, Leatherface, Predator and Xenomorph to the roster. On that note, bringing Spawn on board will not make things weird at all.

Todd McFarlane is going to make his directorial debut with upcoming Spawn live-action feature film that will start filming on 2019 and MK11 launching on April 23, 2019 is a nice way for advance tie-in before the character hits the theater.

Though details regarding the playable character list are scarce, we know Raiden, Scorpion and Shao Kahn are returning with a mysterious new character for Mortal Kombat 11, which could be the fictional antihero we are talking about and we can only weigh in on that after the public reveal event on January 17.

Mortal Kombat 11 Announced

Mortal Kombat 11 is revealed at The Game Awards 2018 and it turns out to be an absolute gore fest between Dark Raiden and Scorpion!

Earlier this year, a Tweet from game director Ed Boon of NetherRealm Studios started speculation that he may have teased upcoming release of Mortal Kombat fighting game series, Mortal Kombat XI and it will be revealed on E3 2018 but never happened anyway.

A few weeks ago from today, voice actor Eduardo Garza blasts his frustration on Twitter for being removed from the project, which may or may not be MKXI but surely is the next installment and everyone believed the title will be announced at The Game Awards 2018.

RELATED: Mortal Kombat XI Revealed by Voice Actor

So, here we are now to witness the world premiere trailer of Mortal Kombat 11 in its gory glory and intensity of the iconic franchise.

RELATED: Mortal Kombat XI May Be Announced at E3 2018

The trailer opens up on a destroyed Courtyard full of charred corpse of monks at night and then two fighters collide in air from both sides out of nowhere. We see Scorpion grabbing Raiden in mid-air and pinning down to the ground before stabbing him with a katana blade.

The God of Thunder stands up to return the favor and impales his opponent with a lightning spear after landing some serious blow of combos. On the background of this extreme beat down, a hip-hop track titled "Immortal" by 21 Savage is playing.

The resurrected ninja then gets up to his feet to apparently stab the Elder God on his face and then delivering his famous spear attack. Raiden fights back by crushing the hard-shell face of his enemy and then blasted his head with a concentrated electric charge.

He turns around to see another version of the undead assassin entering the arena and goes up in flame to fly straight through the protector of Earthrealm. Scorpion then beheaded Dark Raiden and throws his spear into the head, thus finishing him off for a flawless victory.

For curious minds, Raiden going to the dark side is a clear sign that the game picks up from the cliffhanger ending of Mortal Kombat X, where he warned to the new rulers of Netherrealm or to any invaders that he won't be as merciful as everyone knows him to be.

As for the two different iteration of Scorpion appearing, we believe the plot of MK11 either has some twist regarding Multiverse colliding or maybe the characters are going back and forth in time for some still undisclosed reason.

Also, the ending of the trailer shows a glimpse of another female character, whose role in the story is yet to be revealed. Recurring antagonist Shao Kahn is returning to the game as a pre-order bonus character and will join the beta testing phase.

Developers have introduced a Custom Character Variation System that will grant players control to customize the fighters and some familiar face will come back too. A community event will take place on January 17 at 11 AM PST and more details on the title will come out eventually.

Mortal Kombat XI Revealed by Voice Actor

Anticipating NetherRealm Studios' title Mortal Kombat XI has been revealed ahead of time by former voice actor.

It has been three years since the last installment of legendary fighting game series Mortal Kombat was released back in 2015 as Mortal Kombat X from developer NetherRealm Studios and publisher Warner Bros. but we got no news of a sequel yet.

Neither the studio nor series co-creator Ed Boon has said anything about it but yet the cat might get out of the bag finally as a former voice actor of the project may have revealed Mortal Kombat XI on Twitter recently.

Though there is no official confirmation against or on behalf of this claim, fans of the franchise knows how tight lipped the developers are about their projects. Besides, NetherRealm actually confirmed working on a new game indeed but the title was never disclosed.

Some even rumored for a sequel of the crossover fighting game Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe but Ed Boon himself has shot that claim down. Then it the remaining hints points only toward the development of MKXI.

However, a clearly unhappy voice actor Eduardo Garza blasts off all rumors on Mortal Kombat XI over Twitter regarding an issue and revealed that the game is indeed in the making.

Turns out, MKXI very much exists and is in development Garza who was doing voice-over for Kung Lao and Reptile. He quickly took the social media to express his frustration, when he was removed from the project by Pink Noise and not directly by NetherRealm though.

Garza also worked on Krillin in Dragon Ball and Lucio in Overwatch in the past as dubbing actor. He also clarified later that he didn't know for sure whether it was MKXI, MK10.5 or MKXYZ, because they released Mortal Kombat XL as an extended version of MKX.

Back in May 2018, Ed Boon actually dropped a potential tease replying a random Twitter user in response to a query regarding the newest DLC of Injustice 2, which made everyone believe that MKXI most probably be revealed at E3 2018.

Boon using the letter "K" instead of "C" had us believe that there was going to be a big reveal at E3 but nothing happened so far! Right now, we are very close to The Game Awards '18, which will kick start on December 7 and would be a perfect stage to announce the game then.

Whenever NetherRealm and Warner Bros. decide to bring back the franchise with Mortal Kombat XI, we expect to see some major gameplay renovation and their micro-transaction mechanics to be fixed. Hopefully they have learned a lot from making Injustice: Gods Among Us and WWE Immortals.

Injustice 2 Scrapped Character Concept Art Revealed

New unused character designs of John Constantine, Krypto the Superdog and Penguin for the game revealed by Injustice 2 concept artist.

Following their immense success with 2013's fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us, NetherRealm Studios came up with a sequel, Injustice 2 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2017, that even surpassed its predecessor in many aspects.

The game has a roster full of iconic DC Comics characters as playable fighters as well as other heroes like Hellboy from Dark Horse Comics and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from IDW Publishing. Recently, a number of unused concept arts have revealed a few characters that didn't make it to the final roster.

Shared on ArtStation by senior concept artist Justin Murray, these min-blowing artworks of the characters from Injustice comic books has Batman's protege Bluebird, Detective ChimpEtrigan the DemonJohn Constantine, Krypto the Superdog and Penguin.

During the story arc in comics, they have either sided with The Regime and The Insurgency or chose their own way but there was no apparent reason for excluding them from the game. However, we didn't wait for any official statement and have our own theory on it.

For one, neither Detective Chimp nor Penguin is a competitive fighter who can give other playable characters a tough time. Even occult detective John Constantine is no physical combatant despite him being a highly skilled sorcerer.

Young vigilante hero Bluebird on the other hand could've made it but considering other better-known costumed fighters like Batgirl and Zatanna didn't made it to the sequel, this electrical engineer from Batman comics introduced during the run of Scott Snyder (All-Star Batman – My Own Worst Enemy, Batman – Court of the Owls) had slim chances.

Another plausible reason for these characters not to show up in Injustice 2 maybe because many of them ended up dying in the Injustice: Gods Among Us comic-book series, thus their presence in the game could have been tricky for the storyline to connect.

Etrigan The Demon lost his connection to mortal realm when Jason Blood, his human host was killed in a battle against The Regime. Although John Constantine didn't die after his rebellion of magic community took a stand opposing Superman, he simply left the conflict.

The original publisher for the Mortal Kombat series, NetherRealm Studios may strongly consider another sequel to the Injustice franchise and these characters can even show up in that game if they are somehow brought back to the tie-in comic-books.

According to some recent rumor flying around, the studio is already working on a new project and it can either be a new installment for Mortal Kombat or Injustice 3, which we can only tell for sure once we get some more evidence on hand.

Mortal Kombat XI May Be Announced at E3 2018

A playful tease on Twitter by Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon suggests the upcoming announcement for Mortal Kombat XI at E3 2018.

Series creator Ed Boon has found immense success though the first Injustice game and its sequel, Injustice 2 but yet wants people to remember how important it is. Boon occasionally jokes around with his fans over social media every now and then.

This also supplies a lot of potential clues for upcoming games and additional contents. Most of the tie his Tweets are not just trolling and besides, since there is a hint of a tease, he probably isn't kidding and might really drop something.

Lately, when a random Twitter user was pointing out that it would really be cool if their studio introduces a fourth DLC pack of new characters this year for their critically acclaimed fighting game Injustice 2.

Though he didn't shut him down on the possibility of that ever happening but decided to counter asking him "You know what ELSE would be kool....?" If you know that his history of fondness for using the letter "K" instead of "C", then you will notice that it surely is a tease for Mortal Kombat!

Also, it all makes sense because from 2013, NetherRealm Studios has been releasing Mortal Kombat titles and Injustice series one after another. Since DC Universe fighting game Injustice 2 came out almost a year ago, an E3 2018 reveal won't really be that surprising at all.

Maybe will all these recent leaks from Walmart for upcoming games are what inspired Boon to be a bit playful about their upcoming project. The good news is, we will not have to wait much longer to find out the truth as E3 is almost upon us.

The last game from the franchise was 2015's Mortal Kombat X, which was released on Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. So, it is safe to assume that the alleged new installment will also be compatible with these platforms as well.

For years, the studio has been developing all these incredible fighting games, which keeps us well entertained and always wanting some more. Let's just wait and see what Ed Boon and his teams are working so hard on these days!
