Persona 5: The Royal Introduces Kasumi Yoshizawa

Newest Phantom Thief member, Yoshizawa Kasumi is introduced in brand-new Persona 5: The Royal trailer.

To deliver an enhanced port version of their critically acclaimed role-playing game Persona 5 from 2016, developer/publisher Atlus has come up with upcoming Persona 5: The Royal and announced it for PlayStation 4 as an exclusive title.

Other than revealing little details about P5R, a mysterious female playable character is teased through an animated trailer. Today, a brand-new video introduces her as Yoshizawa Kasumi, new member of "Phantom Thieves".

In opening shot of the trailer, she walks in wearing her Phantom Thief costume and kicks off a rapier-like sword into her grab. In next scene, she is in her student outfit and goes to a batting cage for practice with no luck so far.

Throughout her day-time activities of visiting gift shops to see a friend or stopping at a café to have a meal, she seems to be a socially awkward misfit. Of course, none of that makes this red-haired girl any less likable and makes her the next best girl.

Then we get to see her in combat following her awakening, where she is joined by her Persona, Cendrillon. Seconds into battle, she launches her All-Out Attack move, which involves ribbon wand and is called "Beauty is Devotion".

Persona 5: The Royal is scheduled to release on October 31, 2019 for Japan and on 2020 in Western regions. Aside from newly added features, P5R would include another new character Takuto Maruki, new plot and support for PlayStation 4 Pro.

The Last of Us Part II Wraps Shooting

Neil Druckmann announces wrap up shooting for upcoming Naughty Dog title The Last of Us Part II on Twitter.

Originally announced back in 2016 at PlayStation Experience, action-adventure game The Last of Us Part II remains one of the most anticipated upcoming titles from developer Naughty Dog and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment.

We didn't get an official release date yet because the game is still under development but recently, game director Neil Druckmann has announced on social media that motion capture has wrapped up, completing major part of the process.

We know that lead characters Joel and Ellie are returning for this impending PlayStation 4-exclusive that is set five years after The Last of Us but this time the latter will be going through a cycle of violence for personal reasons.

In terms of story, there was a teaser and a trailer that only explores fraction of its entire plot without possibly revealing any major twist. A footage featuring gameplay was released during E3 2018 and it was as brutal as it could get.

The Last of Us remains a saga of Joel and Ellie going through a lot of blood, sweat and tears that is very close to Neil. Of course, Baker and Johnson too are similarly attached to this sequel project as well that is heading towards completion.

Druckmann has posted an image of actor Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker on Twitter, pointing to an emotional wrap-up.

He also posted another image on Instagram of himself with actor Laura Bailey, who is playing an unnamed character.

Although wrapping up motion capture scenes shooting are major part of development but Naughty Dog still has much work to do for making this much awaited PS4 game a reality, even though it probably is not coming out in 2019.

While waiting for a release date to be announced, we can expect The Last of Us Part II to also arrive on PlayStation 5 following recent revealing of its first details. Besides, PS5 console is going to be backwards compatible with PS4 games anyway.
