Sea of Thieves: Lost Treasures Update Live Now

Lost Treasures free update goes live for Sea of Thieves with more limited time events, Pirate Emporium stock and more.

Coming soon to popular PC gaming platform Steam, open-world pirate simulator title Sea of Thieves from developer Rare Studio and publisher Xbox Game Studios readying up to receive its latest monthly content update for free.

Though a bit late, free monthly update for May titled Lost Treasures are live now on Windows PC, Xbox Game Pass and Xbox One. Players will be busy picking new challenges, taking part in events and enjoy more activities of Tall Tales.

Sea of Thieves Steam Release Date

Rare Studio announces Sea of Thieves pirate adventure to debut on Steam for PC players on June 3, 2020.

Up until now, open-world online action-adventure game Sea of Thieves were only accessible to over 10 million players on Windows PC using Microsoft Play Anywhere feature and on Xbox One console, with support for cross-platform play.

Back in April, developer Rare Studio and publisher Xbox Game Studios revealed to launch SoT on Steam very soon and an official release date is announced today to invite players across the platform to join together pirating on June 3, 2020.

Sea of Thieves Coming to Steam

Released exclusively for Windows PC and Xbox One back in March 2018, Sea of Thieves is finally coming to Steam.

Debuted as one of the most-anticipated titles of 2018, popular open-world pirate adventure title Sea of Thieves from developer Rare Studio and publisher Microsoft Studios currently boasts a community of over 10 million players.

In a recent official announcement, Microsoft has revealed that Sea of Thieves is heading over to Steam very soon, which would have support for cross-platform play with other Pirate Legends on Windows PC platform and Xbox One console.

Microsoft has been promoting Sea of Thieves as a flagship title for Xbox Game Pass subscription service from very beginning. SoT is a quirky pirate simulator that initially garnered mixed reception but became better with a series of updates.

During its two year-long run, pirates have fended off killer Kraken, fought Megalodons and looted Skeleton Forts throughout many adventures. There will be more of these legendary tales when SoT will finally arrive on Valve's storefront.

In 2019, Xbox chief Phil Spencer expressed plans to offer more choice to players deciding where they want to buy their PC games from. Rare Studio has yet to announce a release window for Steam but players can add SoT to wishlist now.

Sea of Thieves initially launched two years ago on Microsoft Store as an Xbox-exclusive, which will now be joining alongside Gears 5, Halo: The Master Chief Collection and State of Decay 2 on Steam as latest Xbox Game Studios title.

Latest free monthly content update Heart of Fire for Sea of Thieves adds new Tall Tale, weapons and more.

Due to last minute discovery of an issue, developer Rare Studio and publisher Microsoft Studios had to push back release of latest Heart of Fire monthly content update by a couple of days for 2018 action-adventure title Sea of Thieves.

Heart of Fire free update is now rolled out on Windows PC, Xbox Game Pass and Xbox One for eager pirates to let them take on new voyages, experience story-driven Tall Tales, earn Pirate Legend status, rewards and much more.

Stepping into a New Year and a decade, developer Rare Studio and publisher Microsoft Studios have things planned for their 2018 action-adventure game Sea of Thieves that starts with a free monthly content update on PC and Xbox One.

Packed with more adventurous exploration and collectible bonus treasures, new Legends of the Sea storied update is going live on all available platforms and for members of Xbox Game Pass as well from today, January 14, 2020.

Continuing a series of regular monthly updates, developer Rare Studio and publisher Microsoft Studios brings yet another new addition to action-adventure game Sea of Thieves this month, starting from today, August 14, 2019.

Packing up cosmetics to earn and newer objectives to pursue, latest free content update is titled Dark Relics aims at improved gameplay experience with many more to arrive in future for its players on PC and Xbox One.

When you are at it, pirates can earn some extra doubloons in exchange for a new treasure type called Reaper's Chests. These will not only unlock Commendations on top of your regular rewards but earns you Death Defier Title as well.

Whereas regular voyage costs you five doubloons, it would cost ten doubloons for pirate Legends to get into Athena's Fortune voyage at The Devil's Roar and they obviously better your chances of collecting more artifacts.

Occasionally spawning harpoon mounted rowboats are here to stay as and pirates can take one of those to steal treasure from shores to ships. This permanent addition is perhaps the best part of newest update to have more fun.

Following release of free Anniversary Update earlier, Rare Studio has decided to launch a new event in an ongoing cycle of each month on second Wednesday that will have features, new voyage types and special activities for players.
