World War Z PvPvZ Mode

Outlive the dead and living in action-packed "Player Vs. Player Vs. Zombie" mode of upcoming co-op shooter World War Z.

Set within the same universe of the titular live-action movie of 2013, third-person shooter game World War Z from developer Saber Interactive and publisher Focus Home Interactive offers much more gameplay aspects than its genre.

Aside from tackling post-apocalyptic horror of massive zombie hordes, there will be a PvP multiplayer mode but unlike their typical counterparts, the studio chose to go on a different route to make things interesting for everyone.

You can check out a preview of how the PvPvZ mode will work out in WWZ in the official trailer below.

A number of competitive team-based combat systems are shown in the trailer and each unique type has something exciting to offer to players. Both "Scavenge Raid" and "Vaccine Hunt" are two objective based plays as their name suggests.

Swarm Deathmatch are for two groups of survivors to effectively try and eliminate others with zombies constantly getting into the mix to make things difficult than it already is. Swarm Domination is about capturing a zone by overtaking all obstacles to win points.

King of the Hill is for either of the teams to secure a key vantage point to get advantage over enemies. Outlive the dead in a four-player cooperative effort to establish your territory over every hostile party that opposes you.

Undoubtedly, the in-game world of the title has a lot of potential to create a legacy of its own and Saber Interactive decided to play with that idea a little bit by introducing a new PvP game mode into the mix between the hunters and the hunted.

Survivors will band together in exploring Jerusalem, New York and Moscow for refuge and supplies while fighting the undead on the go. Zombies in the game are not just fast and relentless; they can easily overwhelm a group in a few moments.

Even though World War Z has no official release date announced yet, the game is set to launch in 2019 for PC exclusively via Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. WWZ is clearly looking to live up to Max Brooks' original novel it is based on and more.

Ubisoft announces private beta for The Division 2 to start next month and pre-order will guarantee you a slot.

We are only months away from the release of upcoming online action role-playing game The Division 2, a sequel to The Division from developer Massive Entertainment and publisher Ubisoft on March 15, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

For those who want in to the private beta, it will become available from Thursday, February 7 to 10 and only a limited number of registered players who pre-orders the game will get beta keys to have the chance of receiving access to the program.

Since the first game of the series faced trouble during the launch and then glitches afterwards, the company is very cautious this time on how they would proceed. Whether or not you want to purchase in advance, registering online for a chance won't hurt.

The beta aims to introduce players to a shared-world for early gameplay experience and receive community feedback at the same time. Developers have also promised to deliver end-game raids as post-release downloadable content for free.

Ubisoft has also released a story trailer for the game that sheds some more detail over the plot aside from some more info on the beta.

The trailer suggests that beta will let players explore parts of Washington, D.C. as Division agents where the story takes place and fights a widespread smallpox pandemic spread by a radical group of terrorists from earliest story content.

Chances are, you may even allow access to selected section of the Dark Zone to fight each other but there is no confirmation about it though. However, the publishers promise to reveal more details on what to expect in it shortly before launching officially.

Earlier, Ubisoft announced a partnership with Epic Games Store for releasing the PC version of the game on the platform instead of Steam. Players on PS4 and Xbox One can still find the game on PS Store and Microsoft Store upon release next month.

Based on the Tom Clancy universe of games, The Division 2 is an overall improvement on the 2016 original or tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege. To get the taste of a decent chunk of that, pre-order or sign up on any of the three available platforms for private beta.

The Division 2 Will Be on Epic Games Store, Not on Steam

Ubisoft will be releasing the PC version of The Division 2 through Epic Games Store while skipping Steam.

Action role-playing game The Division from developer Massive Entertainment and publisher Ubisoft is returning with an upcoming sequel; The Division 2 that is releasing on March 15, 2019 for major platforms like PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Usually, Valve's digital distribution store Steam offers people to play and purchase PC version of different video games on their platform even if the publisher have an online storefront of their own but Ubisoft is planning to skip them this time for Epic Games Store.

In a way, the game is now semi-exclusive to Epic Games to buy copies for PC version aside from the outlet of the original publisher. This recent partnership between these two companies also heralds the possibilities of multiple other titles heading to the same store.

Steam previously had a featured product page for the title listed on their site, which now simply redirects visitors to the home page since Ubisoft has no current plans with it. Any pre-order made earlier or elsewhere will still be honored though, according to the Official Blog Post.

Epic has managed to secure exclusively for upcoming anticipated titles like Hades from Supergiant Games and The Walking Dead: The Final Season from Skybound Games within only a month after entering the marketplace by launching their game store.

Of course, the 88% revenue split Epic Games are offering has a lot to do with Ubisoft migrating to them but it have the consumers concerned with a lot of issues like lack of local currency support, bad refund policy and no visible user review. Several big-name company of the industry like Activision has launched Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on Battle.net exclusively and Bethesda Softworks walked the same way with Fallout 76 through their own launcher, probably to have more control over the distribution.

Place your pre-order now for Standard, Gold or Ultimate editions of The Division 2 on Epic Games Store to secure your access to Private Beta that is coming soon. Both of these companies are seemingly more than confident that moving away from Steam won't hurt the sales.

Alien: Blackout Revealed

Amanda Ripley from Alien: Isolation returns for another showdown with a deadly Xenomorph in Alien: Blackout mobile game.

Last year in January, 20th Century Fox has acquired developer Cold Iron Studios for their video game division FoxNext Games and they announced to have been working on a shooter title that is set on the sci-fi horror franchise of Alien, created by director Ridley Scott in 1979.

Then Alien: Blackout title being trademarked by Fox revealed the name of the game and it was about to be announced at The Game Awards 2018, which didn't happen in the end. The game has finally dropped a trailer and it turns out to be a premium mobile game.

Just take a look at the official trailer released for the upcoming AAA-Alien game below before we talk more about it.

The trailer gives away a survival horror type atmosphere the game offers where daughter of Ellen Ripley and the protagonist of Alien: Isolation, Amanda Ripley is shown to be locked with a Xenomorph aboard Weyland-Yutani space station.

Players will assume her role in a struggle to survive the deadliest species of the galaxy trying to outsmart her and the crew in every move. In order to stay alive, you could risk the lives of other crew members or try to rely on the damaged controls of the station.

Instead jumping with joy, people who eagerly waited for the reveal are giving the title a cold shoulder, because the game was rumored to be shooter title for PC and consoles but then turned out to be a mobile app that no one asked for.

Yes, the return of Amanda Ripley is really exciting for the fans that played the previous game but they wanted to play the new game on available major gaming platform and bringing the game on mobile after all this hype can simply turn out to be another greedy cashgrab attempt.

Apparently, many major video game companies are shifting their effort towards mobile game development these days, thus ruining beloved franchise for fans and looks like none of them has learned anything from the Diablo Immortal backlash at BlizzCon 2018.

Alien: Blackout, a direct sequel to Alien: Isolation will be coming soon on App Store, Google Play and Amazon App Store for playing on mobile devices priced $4.99 only. FoxNext has associated themselves with D3 Go, Theory Interactive and Rival Games for the project.

Far Cry 5 Game Awards 2018 Teaser

Ubisoft goes full post-apocalyptic with Far Cry series in a new teaser trailer for The Game Awards 2018.

The latest installment of action-adventure first-person shooter game series Far Cry from developer/publisher Ubisoft was Far Cry 5 that came out earlier this year and became one of the fastest-selling games of the franchise despite controversy.

Now, ahead of The Game Awards 2018, Ubisoft has unveiled a brand-new cinematic trailer for their upcoming project as a follow-up to the series that has a post-apocalyptic vibe. Though the video doesn't give away much, we can still sum up a few part on our own.

Take a look at this video of upcoming Far Cry project/sequel with a short narrative below released this afternoon.

RELATED: Far Cry 5 Fan Recreates Jurassic Park

Though, we don't have much details on our hand to work with, the teaser surely looks like it is connected to FC5 and may even serve up a follow-up sequel, whereas all of the previous games from the series came out as standalone releases.

The opening shot of the teaser shows us a farmhouse across wheat fields and mountains in the distance, which has a striking resemblance to Hope County, Montana. Then a sudden nuclear explosion goes off on the horizon with a blinding light and a mushroom cloud blooming.

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING CONTAINS POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR FAR CRY 5.

Everything goes up in flame and the wheat fields get destroyed as we see it happen in slow motion. Then years after, that place saw blue sky but the world that emerged from the husk of the old one is not the one that had any hope in it.

You cannot make something concrete out of these vague images for sure but the nuclear meltdown event most probably is the one we saw from the ending of Far Cry 5. It seems that a mixture of Fallout and RAGE 2 is coming this way by the looks of it.

Now, we will have to wait some more to get a full reveal of the new game at The Game Awards event to know whether Ubisoft is sending players on post-apocalyptic journey into post-nuclear Montana by moving far from the rest of the series or go to another direction.

Taking in account that it hasn't been a full year since Far Cry 5 was released and launching multiple DLC packs already, the company is ready to work with the same IP is quite interesting. We just hope the reveal excites us and everyone in the end by offering fans another spectacular open-world sandbox.

Alien: Blackout May be Next Alien Game

20th Century Fox trademarks the name "Alien: Blackout" for a possible upcoming video game title in the making.

After the science fiction horror franchise of Aliens began its journey back in 1979, it saw many sequel movies, crossovers with Predator film series, and most frequently adapted into comic-books by Dark Horse Comics publications and video game media for a several decades now.

It stepped into the world of video games in 1982 as maze game based on the original movie and got a dozen of releases on different platforms. Some recent developments from 20th Century Fox studio suggest that we are in for a new Alien game soon.

RELATED: FoxNext to Develop New Alien Video Game

The title Alien: Blackout as recently been trademarked by Fox on the World Intellectual Property Organization website, where it clearly states to be a video game property and definitely not an upcoming movie or TV show.

Back in January, it was revealed that FoxNext Games is about to work on a new AAA-Alien shooter title for PC and consoles in association with Cold Iron Studios, which will deliver a total action-packed experience full of Xenomorphs to all of the fans.

RELATED: Borderlands 2 VR Comes to PlayStation

Also, there are speculations that very soon the game could even be announced at The Game Awards 2018. This rumor is powered by a recent photo posted by video game legend Hideo Kojima on Twitter during his tour at the 20th Century Fox office and the official Twitter account for TGA responds to it as well.

RELATED: Kojima Teasing Another Death Stranding Trailer?

Another interesting part is that The Game Awards has been marketing this year's event with a tagline "Worlds Will Change" right next to a "W" logo. Some enthusiastic fans over the internet suggest this to be the Weyland-Yutani Corporation logo from Alien universe.

The similarities between the logo could be purely coincidental but it seems highly suspicious when the Twitter handle for The Game Awards responds to Kojima with their "Worlds Will Change" slogan in a cryptic manner of reply.

RELATED: Devil May Cry Animated Series Confirmed

The closest and the most recent release from the series are Aliens: Colonial Marines and Alien: Isolation. The former took place right after the events of James Cameron's Aliens movie from 1986, which was gravely bashed by fans for a very poor AI as a result of a typo in code.

The latter came out after a year later as a first-person-shooter survival horror game from developer Creative Assembly and publisher Sega, which somehow managed to encapsulate the suspense and claustrophobic settings of the franchise right.

RELATED: Aliens: Colonial Marines' Lame AI Caused by Typo

Aside from the recently title, we do not know any other news or information about the story of the game or whatsoever. However, now that 20th Century Fox has secured the trademark for them, we hope to hear more about the game soon and probably on December 6, at The Game Awards 2018.

If Hideo Kojima is really involved in the Alien: Blackout project, then there is a chance that the series may find redemption into the video game media after so many botched attempt to bring the Alien horde from the furthest corner of the galaxy to your preferred gaming platform.

Star Wars: Clone Wars Voice Cast Returns for Battlefront II

Key voice actors from Star Wars: The Clone Wars series will reprise their roles for upcoming Star Wars Battlefront II content.

Fans of Star Wars hold Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated television series on high regard and thanks to the #BringBackCloneWars movement, we can now even hope for an upcoming Season 7 to release on Disney's streaming service.

Before the series return with an all-new glory, you have prior chance to get nostalgic with the involved cast. According to a recent announcement, some of the voice actors from the series are returning to their original roles for new content of action shooter game Star Wars Battlefront II.

As one of their notable feature, Battlefront II offers players to assume the role of popular Star Wars characters from prequel, original and sequel trilogies, thus bridging all three era of the franchise aside from a unique playable campaign.

Expansions and updates released for the game till date includes a limited time Ewok Hunt game mode in Night on Endor from Return of the Jedi and Han Solo content to celebrate the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story movie earlier this year.

Back in June, developer EA DICE and publisher Electronic Arts decided to include new content for the game related to Clone Wars, which essentially bridges the three years gap between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith movie.

The four voice actors from the original series; James Arnold Taylor, Matt Lanter, Corey Burton and Matthew Wood would return to voice for Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Count Dooku and General Grievous respectively in the Clone Wars DLC.

If you have looked at the track record of Star Wars Battlefront II, then you already know that the game received heavy backlash even before the release for including loot boxes and micro-transactions, which even caused their stock price to drop.

Including a Clone Wars DLC featuring the original voice casts from the TV show not only brings new level of detail to the game but also intensifies the hype (Darth Vader's heavy breathing sound) of the upcoming season that still awaits an official release date.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout Battle Royale Reveal

Battle Royale mode Blackout for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 finally unveils their first impressive look.

When this years' release from Call of Duty franchise was revealed as Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, people was most excited to know about a Battle Royale mode, Blackout which was about to change the course of the genre.

Finally, developer Treyarch and publisher Activision has unveiled a first look at the most anticipated game mode from their upcoming multiplayer first-person shooter title and from the initial look at it, we know one thing for sure and that it is going to be epic.

The combat in Blackout Battle Royale mode covers land, air and water with an intention to make it as big as possible. When it finally hits PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, players are open to explore iconic multiplayer maps like Cargo, Hydro, Nuketown and Turbine.

Rather than putting barbed wire barricades or throwing explosives, playing with your best tactics can be your only savior. Adding chopper to vehicular combat was the next best idea after unleashing hordes of zombies into the fight.

Considering the game have to compete with already established Battle Royale titles like Fortnite and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, developers tried hard to create their own version better.

A maximum of 80 players can take part in a match at a time and whereas that number is not the biggest among other titles, Black Ops 4 surpasses any other titles in terms of vehicles and weapons variety. The game will be launched on October 12 and Blackout beta will start first on PS4 from September 10.

Although, Activision is not the first company to bring out Battle Royale games to the market but it looks like they sure are going to reinvent the field by setting a new level though "Blackout" if Battlefield V somehow fails to impress with the same type of game mode "Firestorm".

In the beginning, the absolute removal of any campaign mode from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was quite shocking for many fans but by the looks of it, Treyarch has really tried hard to compensate for that.

Lead developers wanted players to have all the thrills they can get and be as creative they can be playing the Multiplayer modes. So, Shadow War added three new maps; Airship, Chancellery and Excavation, all placed within major enemy territory. Players are sent to fight for control over the docked zeppelin near a secret enemy camp on Alps in Airship map. This one is quite a risky venture while running through cliffs but there are some vantage points you can utilize for sneak attacks.

Get ready to have some epic night-time action inside a French Chancellery in the second map. The main courtyard of enemy base should be your point of focus as you provide cover for your team. You can always calmly wait in the back of those trucks in the courtyard and whenever someone comes within your range, you can greet them as you like. Excavation map is the next one, set in an Algerian mine where arts and gold are stockpiled by enemy and you are to drop there for loot.

New War Mode Mission that we talked about earlier is called Operation Arcane, which will take you to Austrian mountains with a task to infiltrate a secret enemy research facility full of UFOs. Regardless of whatever evil plan they are cooking, you got to retrieve those secrets and schematics before burning that place to the ground. Players can use special weapons like Tesla Gun and mysterious super soldier serums to get you health five times than normal while boosting you melee attacks.

Finally, the story of Call of Duty: WWII Nazi Zombies get wrapped up in the final chapter, Frozen Dawn. Drostan, Jefferson, Marie and Olivia returns once again to face a new evil threat from a lost city. Apparently, Sword of Barbarossa did not stop the undead nightmare and the remains of Thule Society still remain at large. To preserve humanity’s last hope, our heroes equip with the finest weapons to confront a darker menace in the game’s Nazi Zombies mode and uncover buried secrets.

Great news is that, players who don't own the Season Pass or the Shadow War DLC can still become a part of the experience if the ones who own the above arrange an in-game party and invite other friends to join in. However, this feature will be limited to Multiplayer maps and War Mode mission only. Party leader and his pals can battle their way through August 28 to October 28. This is indeed a great initiative from Activision for letting more players to take part together and possibly purchase it later.

Call of Duty: WWII went on to become a best-seller title over consoles after it came out in 2017 and currently is available to play on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Shadow War will be releasing on August 28 for PS4 first as a timed exclusive due to a contract with Sony. No release date for other two platforms is revealed yet but we believe the date will be a month later, possibly September 28.
