Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Revealed

Trust only in the Force because Respawn Entertainment and EA have officially revealed Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Even though we all got an early look at Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order teaser poster via a leak on Amazon listing, no one is any bit of less hyped about what developer Respawn Entertainment and publisher Electronic Arts would have unveiled today.

Aside from an anticipated wait for title reveal of Star Wars: Episode IX movie from sequel trilogy, Fallen Order remains to be one of the most anticipated parts of Star Wars Celebration 2019 and a teaser is finally revealed via a Twitch live-stream.

Chronicling an aftermath of tragic Jedi purge throughout the galaxy, a lone Padawan makes it out and tries his best to blend within society and he is trying to survive by abiding to certain rules while surrounded by enemies everywhere.

He somehow finds something similar to a ship behind a hidden bunker like place; most probably by climbing on to the cliff side he was scaling previously seen in leaked teaser poster and it probably has some message for him or any survivors.

Keeping a low profile, Cal socializes and avoids detection from scouting Stormtroopers but life eventually brings him to a situation where he had to choose between saving a life by using the Force and blow up his cover or letting someone he know, die.

Inadvertently, he crosses paths with Second Sister Inquisitor and tried to run unsuccessfully as we see him being chased down Imperial army. Although help came along as some rebel force and he picks up a broken lightsaber seen from first teaser image.

So far, Fallen Order looks pretty impressive but we still have to look at some gameplay footage as we simply cannot trust EA after Battlefront II. Though ahead of reveal, EA did confirm that there would be no micro-transactions in their upcoming Star Wars game.

Respawn has already proven their worth to video gamers by delivering massively popular game series like Apex Legends and Titanfall, which is the only reason players have been waiting to see this single-player story come to life.

Another Tweeter user Nibel has posted out an image earlier before official announcement that stated the game will become available on November 15 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, which eventually turned out to be true.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order casts actor Cameron Monaghan (Gotham, Shameless) to portray Cal Kestis in a post-Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith period where Empire Palpatine has wiped off most of Jedi members by executing "Order 66".

There is a humanoid figure wielding a lit blue lightsaber climbing on a mountain surrounding snow while being accompanied by a small bipedal droid that is either projecting or scanning some rune like marks on a cliff of their side.

On background, there is a crashed Star Destroyer a little far from where they are standing and several T.I.E. Fighters are scouting over it, most probably are looking for the lone Jadi who survived an attempt of their extinction by Galactic Empire.

The game features a single-player story of a Padawan who survived the Jedi purge in Order 66 following the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith and is going to be a third-person action/adventure title that would let players explore the galaxy.

Rogue One Writer Wants Disney to Replace EA for Star Wars Games

Co-writer of Rogue One, Gary Whitta believes Disney should pull the plug on their Star Wars license deal with Electronic Arts.

Fans of Star Wars franchise doesn't take any mishandling to their beloved franchise kindly and the way video game publisher Electronic Arts has been treating the licensed properties they received rights to from Disney are absolutely infuriating for anyone who loves them.

Avid video game fan and screenwriter Gary Whitta (After Earth, The Book of Eli), who is widely known for his involvement in story development for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story joins host Greg Miller in the daily podcast of Kinda Funny Games to talk about that.

Following Disney and EA making a decade-long deal that gave the latter exclusive rights to publish Star Wars games, fans have had a lot of expectation for the upcoming years to get some super exciting titles set in the fictional universe created by George Lucas.

The studio even acquired Battlefield series creator DICE, Titanfall development studio Respawn Entertainment and even Visceral Games who were responsible for the Dead Space trilogy but what they have done so far is not looking very good.

RELATED: Reddit Bashed EA Over Battlefront II Loot Boxes

We are in 2019 and by now, all we have so far is just two installments out of their Star Wars Battlefront series. What we should also take to account is that their greedy approach to include loot boxes within the game has caused major backlash for Star Wars Battlefront II.

In their next insane move, EA went ahead and cancelled an ongoing project code-named "Ragtag" by Visceral, an open-world game from the known franchise. Seeing all these catastrophic action, we have a bad feeling about the fate of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

RELATED: Star Wars Battlefront II Controversy Hurts EA Stock Price

Like any other rational fans of Star Wars, Gary Whitta thinks this is embarrassing and Disney should pull the plug on their deal to take away their license from EA if there is any way for them even though they are only half-way through.

Although he has faith on the upcoming third-person Star Wars game that Respawn has been working on, he really cannot rely on their decision making process after seeing them cancelling project Ragtag that was essentially a "Star Wars Uncharted" game.

For those who are interested in checking out the full video where Gary Whitta expresses his passion for games and Star Wars, the entire conversation is right below.

Of course Whitta doesn't voice his concern about the situation from a position of power, neither does he takes business decisions for them but his obvious frustration over their repeated failure is something that the fans can clearly relate to.

As a media giant, Disney should care for the franchise by cutting all ties to the publisher and explore other options for the sake of their own reputation. Obviously, there are many other established and indie studios capable of doing justice to Star Wars.

Top 10 Most Anticipated Video Games of 2019

New Year looks promising for gaming fans and we are here with our top 10 most anticipated video games of 2019 that are going to blow everyone away.

Along with numerous bumps in the road, 2018 went somewhat well in terms of video games released throughout the year mostly because of wonderful games like God of War (2018), Marvel's Spider-Man, Monster Hunter: World and Red Dead Redemption 2.

We had few unfortunate stinkers like Fallout 76 and Metal Gear Survive but despite all that, 2019 is looking very promising with all the new and remake titles headed to launch on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One all year long.

01. Resident Evil 2 (PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One)
Of course this one will be at the top. Fans have been waiting like crazy for this anticipated remake of the ageless survivor horror classic for the last few years and even though this is a reiteration of the original Resident Evil 2, people are still excited as hell!

Rookie cop Leon S. Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield finds them amidst a zombie apocalypse in Raccoon City and tries to fight their way out. Developer/publisher Capcom went back to the root of horror with RE2Make using their revolutionary RE Engine.

02. Anthem

02. Anthem (PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One)
Although developer BioWare was not very successful in satisfying the fans with their last game Mass Effect: Andromeda, players are still willing to give them a chance with this one and admit it or not, it might actually course correct its way where Destiny 2 has failed.

This online multiplayer shooter avoids the typical norms of an open world environment and regardless of what some may think, it could really become a blockbuster hit. An Open Beta is currently scheduled for early February that you should take part in to see what they are offering.

kingdom hearts 3 playstation 4 xbox one
03. Kingdom Hearts III

03. Kingdom Hearts III (PlayStation 4, Xbox One)
Even though it basically is the twelfth installment from Kingdom Hearts series, it is the latest main entry coming on consoles from developer/publisher Square Enix, fourteen years after the release of Kingdom Hearts II as a worthy successor.

Series protagonist Sora is returning with his friends Donald Duck, Goofy, King Mickey and Riku to prevent the second Keyblade War. Popular Disney and Pixar characters will crossover during the journey alongside some familiar faces from Final Fantasy franchise.

04. Crackdown 3

04. Crackdown 3 (PC, Xbox One)
Okay, if Microsoft Studios delays the game for some reason this year again, we are officially not interested in it anymore. Because, the title was all set to launch in 2016 which is then got pushed to next year and the next after it settled for February 2019.

Despite all the skepticism it has given us, we still believe that the game can be one of the most successful title of the year 2019 if it can manage to live up to the promises it made to fans. The sort of in-game destructive mechanism it is offering is essential for an addictive multiplayer mode.

sekiro shadows die twice pc playstation 4 xbox one
05. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

05. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One)
In past, developer From Software has worked on games like Bloodborne and Dark Souls, which should give you an idea of the quality for their upcoming action-adventure title Sekiro and if you have seen any in-game footage so far, you know that we are not exaggerating.

However, the studio has no intention of making it anything like their past games at all. The game follows the chronicles of a fallen shinobi with a prosthetic arm who took it upon himself to go after a samurai for attacking him and kidnapping his lord.

After a long departure following the commercial failure of DmC: Devil May Cry in 2013, developer/publisher Capcom brings back the action-adventure hack and slash game series with Devil May Cry 5 that is currently aiming at March 2019 release.

Both Dante and Nero are returning as playable characters in DMC5, which is set after the second game of the franchise. Aside from the signature combat system and photo-realistic graphics style, the game introduces The Void mode for extensive training.

07. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

07. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One)
After the debacle of Star Wars Battlefront II, fans are not trusting Electronic Arts or EA DICE with the franchise anymore but with Respawn Entertainment on the development wheel, we have some hope that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will actually be good.

The game follows the narrative of a Padawan survived the Jedi purge after the events of Star Wars Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. The title is going to focus on an action-adventure gameplay from third-person perspective and we may get an exclusive reveal before E3 2019 as well.

days gone playstation 4
08. Days Gone

08. Days Gone (PlayStation 4)
Zombie apocalypse is quite a cliché in the world of video game now that except for a few established franchises, not everyone is making it exciting anymore but developer Bend Studio showed enough promise with their upcoming PlayStation 4-exclusive Days Gone that we were hooked.

The game took a different approach with the horde and making them fast runners like the ones from 28 Days Later but calling them "Freakers". Players will enter this journey of survival horror by assuming the role of bounty hunter Deacon St. John.

the division 2 pc playstation 4 xbox one
09. The Division 2

09. The Division 2 (PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One)
Although the original game died down after a time by losing players for not having engaging endgame content and due to lack of updates, developer Massive Entertainment assures that they will not repeat the mistake with the anticipated sequel that is offering Year One DLC for free.

The series arguably has one of the best core gameplay that can outshine many other AAA titles but coming up with a satisfying endgame experience is also crucial to its success. A better progressing system can keep the upcoming online action RPG alive in the long-run.

mortal kombat 11 nintendo switch pc playstation 4 xbox one
10. Mortal Kombat 11

10. Mortal Kombat 11 (Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One)
For long, game director Ed Boon has been teasing the fans of Mortal Kombat series on the next release but each time they backed out of revealing it. Finally, developer NetherRealm Studios dropped an announcement trailer of MK11 during The Game Awards 2018.

The long-awaited game is going to release more details this month in a "Community Reveal" and will return in its gory glory within next four months with a possibility of introducing the Multiverse. The iconic brawler looks better and badass than ever.

To our deepest regrets, some of the top-notch game everyone has been looking for has not made it to the list because they do not have a definitive year of release officially announced yet, namely Cyberpunk 2077, Death Stranding and The Last of Us Part II.

Depending on your taste and viewpoint, you may have a completely different list in mind and we believe that is perfectly normal, because so many titles have been keeping the fans hyped up for 2019 and it is too damn hard to pass most of them from including into the list.
