British authorities have taken measures to fight an unforgiving cold by installing several heat generators and your job is to amass a hefty supply of coal to start one of them, so that a new community can be set up around it.

As you start building your city around one of those giant heat machines, coal mines, cooking houses, steam-powered heaters, streets, tents and many other facilities should be built to support lives in an unfriendly echo-system.

Players who own VC4 in their Switch library will enjoy a 20% discount at the retail eShop price of $19.99 over the remastered VC title. Last month, a demo version of the game was made available for Nintendo Switch in advance for players to try out the game before making the purchase. These initiatives will hopefully draw audience to this beloved RPG series once more after they finish the fourth installment from the franchise.

Valkyria Chronicles sets in the 1930's Europa, which is divided by two fractions known as the Empire and the Federation. Both are heavily dependent on a rare natural resource called Ragnite and to secure a major deposit of it, the Empire launches an invasion to the neutral Principality of Gallia. Protagonist Welkin Gunther takes charge of the Squad 7 and fights in a prototype tank with Captain Alicia Melchiott. Despite having less combat experience, Welkin manages to win everyone showing his tactics.

Sega also mentions that this one is not the remastered version of the game which came out in 2016 for players to enjoy on other platforms nor did they clarify what version it would be. So, we are not sure yet if it will run at 1080p in 60fps on Nintendo's hybrid console. Maybe it will simply fare the same like VC4 as it is on Switch now. VCR will debut on September 27 in Japan and then on October 16, it will see worldwide release.

Back in November 2017, Com2Us have partnered up with Skybound Entertainment to come up with a brand-new comic book series based on the fictional Universe of Summoners War. Skybound is formed by the renowned comic-book writer Robert Kirkman (Battle Pope, Haunt) and being associated with them shows their sincerity to the project. And now that, Com2Us has teamed up with Funko, we are getting some sick new collectibles of their game characters as well to show off in the display.

As a massively multiplayer online strategy game for Android and iOS devices, Summoners War is doing exceptionally well since it was released on 2014. The game has been dominating both App Store and Google Play on nearly a hundred countries by ranking #1 in the RPG game category. With that stat in hand, we say it was high time for introducing a new line of merchandise for the franchise to satisfy the cravings of their huge fan-base.

Mercenaries Saga Chronicles Comes to Nintendo Switch

CIRCLE Ent. is a Japan-based game publisher who brings new games to market and in 2017, they have introduced 30 new games to various platforms. They mostly work with small-time indie titles and they operate under the name Fly High Works in Asia. Some their great release includes SteamWorld Dig 2, The Day We Found Earth and The Legend of the Dark Witch 3. A few days ago, they teased the announcement of a new Nintendo Switch title on Twitter.

Mercenaries Saga Chronicles Comes to Nintendo Switch

As soon as the clock hit midnight and it was already 2018 in Japan, CIRCLE Ent. have twitted that they are bringing strategy role-playing series Mercenaries Saga for Nintendo Switch.

Tactical RPG Mercenaries Saga by Japanese developer studio Rideon was primarily out as mobile game which used to rock on Nintendo 3DS console later and there were three installments of the game released so far. Many have considered the Mercenaries Saga series as a worthy descendant of Final Fantasy Tactics. The first game of the series was never released in the Western regions and then came Mercenaries Saga 2, which came out in 2015 on Nintendo 3DS, then eventually on Android and iOS.

The third and final title Mercenaries Saga 3 was released on 2016 exclusively for Nintendo 3DS. So, as CIRCLE Ent. is bringing Mercenaries Saga Chronicles, we are getting all three games together much like an anthology. You can also consider the tiles as remaster edition because originally the Mercenaries Saga game series used to run on 240p resolution which is going to be enhanced to a 1080p resolution for Nintendo Switch. So, that definitely bridges the graphical gap between the new take on the game and the predecessor versions.

However, at the moment we cannot say anything about how much the game will cost or there are no official release date announced by CIRCLE Ent. yet. Plus, this time the series is going to see a Western release after all, which will be a great move by the developer and the publishers.

Com2us, the South Korean developers of the game has recently decided that they want to create a brand-new comic book series based on the world of Summoners War and who else to do it better other than Skybound Entertainment? We guess no one at this point.

Skybound's CEO North Catherine Winder seems very excited at this announcement and they are looking forward to build a narrative based foundation of a fictional Universe that is based on Summoners War, partnering with Com2us. There are so much to explore in the magical fantasy themed world of the game and a lot of scope for creative expansion.

Skybound's founder Robert Kirkman (Battle Pope, Haunt) is also looking forward to work on the book as well. Even though this acclaimed comic-book creator will not be writing plotlines for the comics, he will be overseeing the project. The primary goal of Com2us and Skybound's partnership is to reach out audiences from around the world and different cultures through building and expanding universe of the franchise in different mediums.

Com2us studio has full faith on Robert Kirkman's work as the guy needs no introduction to people anyway. Those who may or may not know him have at least heard of The Walking Dead, which was his brain-child on Image Comics and now has become a global phenomenon after it was adapted into a television series on AMC TV. So, everyone on board with the Summoners War comic-book tie-in project is pretty assured about the quality of the upcoming book.

Developer Com2us's Summoners War lets a player to choose from and summon a thousand different monsters to duel. The game has already crossed the landmark of 80 million downloads on mobile devices and generated over one billion dollars revenue so far. Aside from the upcoming comics, the studio has plan for producing an animated series and much more stuff that is focused on the game and its base elements.

The Walking Dead: March To War Gameplay Revealed!

The game introduces lots of locations to visit, recruitment of team members and character interactions (Negan, Carl, Andrea etc) as provided in the comic book and TV show.

Apart from the fact that you are trying to defend yourself, you will also be looking out for your teammates who might perhaps be attacked or bitten as its part of the survival. However, it’s almost impossible to secure all teammate as some might get their hands chopped off and bite the big one. Albeit, the game might appear to be hard, different characters come with different unique features will make them outstanding. Additional abilities can also be unlocked via the talents section. Also, there will be the opportunity of unlocking council members and train new survivors.

The point of attraction of the game is the multiplayer mode where players are lavished with the opportunity of working hand-in-hand with other players in order to acquire resources and deploy a formidable army to fight against the player-ran communities.

The plot of the game covers the events prior to "All Out War" storyline of The Walking Dead monthly comic book series by Robert Kirkman. For the sake of those who never followed the comic book; the plot simmers around Rick Grimes and the crew alliances he sought out into this post-apocalyptic world. They had quite an agitation to fight against Negan; the ruthless leader of the survivors team called the Saviors. Thus, the theme “The Walking Dead: March to War” has come to play.

Be expecting intriguing dilemmas, armed soldiers, highbrow counselors and engaging combats and you still can’t get enough of it. Lastly, it’s important to stress that the game is still undergoing development. So, players should expect more features and better modes. The Walking Dead: March to War will be open for launch later this summer from Disruptor Beam on Android and iOS devices.

The Walking Dead: March To War Narrative Design

Just like every other Disruptor Beam games, The Walking Dead: March to War is strongly orchestrated by an interesting plot. Jessica Sliwinski, the lead narrative designer, and top-notch storyteller, takes us through a deep but concise journey of how she developed the plot for The Walking Dead: March to War. She explained that all characters were lifted from the Skybound comic book. She posited that the rationale for taking characters from the comic book series was just to ensure that each character is the representation of what fans are familiar with.

According to Jessica, The Walking Dead: March to War takes place prior to the events of "All Out War" story from The Walking Dead comic book series. This means that the storyline comes directly from the seat of the comic book pages envisioned by Robert Kirkman.

However, unlike the comic book, you choose what happens, how you defend and direct your council within the game. Thus, you are the leader of your own developing community. Not just that, you are faced with a lot of tasks before you can get the opportunity of leading an equivalence of Rick or Negan’s army. Albeit, it is indubitable that you are equipped with an intrinsic leadership quality, which draws people to you and, this is conspicuous to others like Rick and Negan but perhaps you will have to fight your way to defend your Council till death.

Members of the council are individuals who have trust in you to lead them right. It explains the place of deep communication, the amicable atmosphere between you and the council members. You have to get; to know each and every one of them, build an everlasting relationship to fix their support.
Both the objective system and the council story system will help you develop your community well.

She ends and punctuated her lines with a brief explication on how different the war game storyline is when compared to any other traditionally story focused genre by saying:

“The narrative designer’s job then becomes determining how best to support this emergent storytelling, and ensuring that any linear story also present in the game both enhances and drives the core gameplay loops (as opposed to distracting from them.”

For all who have been anticipating the game release, The Walking Dead: March to War will be available for play on Android and iOS mobile devices, soon!
