Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle Revealed

Recent listings at Microsoft Store reveals remaster version of Bayonetta and Vanquish for modern consoles.

Following a recent leak on ResetEra forum has lead to players finding out a remaster project for sci-fi action third-person shooter Vanquish is in works from Microsoft Store listing, another fan-favorite title is discovered shortly afterwards.

Then another listing for cult classic action-adventure hack and slash title Bayonetta from developer Platinum Games appeared with a February 18, 2020 release date for both alongside Bayonetta and Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle.

Both of these fan-favorite titles were originally released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 that are now being considered for a re-release on Xbox One platform with 4K graphics support at 60 FPS and most likely for PlayStation 4 as well.

Product description reads that these games will run on 4K Ultra HD on Xbox One X aside from having achievements and cloud saves. If not exclusive to Microsoft consoles, then same features will hopefully be available on a PS4 Pro.

There are no further details on what upgrades Platinum Games would be adding to these decade-old games since they are already backward compatible with Xbox One platform right now, apart from their graphical enhancements.

In 2017, a rumor surrounding Bayonetta and Vanquish got out when a box art for the bundle was leaked online. Looks like, developers were busy for past two years to finish their work before making an official announcement.

On October 29, 2019, Bayonetta series has celebrated its 10th anniversary of release on PS3 and Xbox 360 back in 2009 with a special artwork from series director Hideki Kamiya and character designer Mari Shimazaki.

10th Anniversary Bundle will include remastered versions of Bayonetta and Vanquish but has yet to reveal a price point. Though publisher Sega didn't officially announced the titles but has re-released them both on Steam in past.

Horizon Zero Dawn May Come to PC

Following Death Stranding, another PS4-exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn could be coming to PC next year.

Last month, a new job listing at developer Guerrilla Games have hinted of a possible sequel for action role-playing game Horizon Zero Dawn in works and was confirmed earlier by voice actress Janina Gavankar (Sleepy Hollow, True Blood).

A recent rumor from Russian YouTuber Anton Logvinov suggests that critically-acclaimed 2017 action RPG title HZD is going to see release on PC by February 2020 with an official reveal coming very soon, probably during The Game Awards 2019.

Anton Logvinov previously predicted Death Stranding to get a PC release earlier this year, which is built using Decima Engine from Guerrilla as part of a partnership between developer Kojima Productions and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Latest masterpiece of Hideo Kojima was revealed to have a PC release back in 2015 in a now-deleted Medium post. However, a PC port of Horizon seems a lot far-fetched idea despite Guerrilla Games being a first-party studio under Sony.

In his post shared on ResetEra forum, more of what Logvinov stated later was added alongside his claim.

I'm talking to different developers who are making something for the PlayStation 5, and they said to me that Sony warns them "keep the PC version in mind.

RELATED: Death Stranding No Longer Listed PS4-Exclusive

Given both of these titles runs on Decima and DS has already optimized its code for PC for an upcoming transition to a new platform, Sony could be finally pushing to bring popular PlayStation games for platform accessibility.

A major market competitor, Microsoft has been pushing more of their exclusive titles to PC for next-generation consoles. With arrival of PlayStation 5 set for holiday season next year, Sony may very well be changing their strategy as well.

RELATED: Death Stranding Announced for PC

It would make sense if they want a PC port of their original PlayStation 4 title to draw interest of new players from a different platform because it is highly likely that potential development for a sequel to HZD for PS5 is already ongoing.

Since there are no official word from Guerrilla Games or Sony just yet, rumor of a PC release for Horizon Zero Dawn should be taken with a grain of salt. However, we shouldn't completely rule out its possibility given its credible source.

For a two-part event quest adventure, HZD protagonist character Aloy will step into icy grounds of "New World" to hunt down terrifying beasts. Being a natural hunter of mech creatures, she will have no trouble fitting in a frigid terrain.

Aside from playing as Aloy, there is a chance for Hunters to craft Light Bowgun, Stormslinger Prototype. This one is a ranged weapon from HZD expansion DLC that nicely fits into MH: World in terms of design aesthetics and usage.

Stormslinger used to be an upgrade for spear that Banuk shaman Ourea wielded in The Frozen Wilds and it now acts more like a ropecaster. Not only its power capacity has been expanded but an overcharge can also cause major blowback.

Similar to fierce canine beast Scorcher from HZD, you have thunderous beast Zinogre to face in Iceborne next month but make sure that you at least have a Master Rank of 24 or above and packing some Thunder Resistance before a confrontation.

Diablo 4 to Bring Back Elective Mode

Blizzard confirms to add beloved "Elective Mode" for Diablo IV to let players assign skill categories.

Fans of hack and slash action RPG game series Diablo are excited once again after recent reveal of Diablo IV at BlizzCon 2019 by developer/publisher Blizzard Entertainment following Diablo Immortal debacle from BlizzCon last year.

According to a latest official blog post, Blizzard has confirmed plans of bringing back popular "Elective Mode" system from Diablo III that would allow players assigning specific skill selection slots to buttons of their choosing.

Initially, certain categories such as defensive and primary skills will be allocated to set of buttons on controller or keyboard. What Elective Mode does is that gives players a choice to customize their own set as they want.

Maybe you have one particular skill type set on a certain button and that is not matching with what you have in mind, then you can simply place that skill under a different key using the feature, which gives you flexibility in playing.

Because of a user interface from demo showed at BlizzCon this year, members of player community were speculating if D4 will lock skills under specific slots but Blizzard came clearing all confusion on that by confirming Elective Mode.

Lead systems designer David Kim stated that every skill categories will remain unlocked for all players to let them freely assign and select. Besides, the shown UI is not final just like many other aspects due to an ongoing development.

BioWare to Overhaul Anthem

BioWare is reportedly planning for an overhaul for Anthem to bring it back through a massive update.

Though many have speculated for online multiplayer action role-playing game Anthem from developer BioWare and publisher Electronic Arts to be the biggest release of 2019, it has completely failed to live up to that expectation.

Despite major faction of player community abandoning the game, developers are reportedly working on a huge update in an attempt to revive the anticipated loot shooter, which would either be called "Anthem 2.0" or "Anthem Next".

RELATED: Rust Announced for PS4 and Xbox One

It all started with BioWare trying to publish an unfinished game that they had no clear vision for and then people who bought the game at full price starts seeing a series of problem it has in terms of content as well as many balance issues.

Morale among their development team had been at all time low and lead producer Ben Irving chooses to leave company three months ago. Following his departure, head of live service and community, Chad Robertson quickly took over.

RELATED: Netflix's The Witcher Season 2 Confirmed

Moving ahead, he promised more transparency of work to fans but eventually, Robertson left his position earlier this month. Although he claimed that Anthem is currently in good hands, it is yet not clear who is leading the project right now.

At this point, many sources even started speculating whether the game is dead but recent report suggest that BioWare and EA has not given up support yet as they are planning to introduce a massive overhaul to save it.

RELATED: Ghost Recon: Breakpoint Title Update Live Now

BioWare is preparing a total revamp in a last ditch effort to revive Anthem and are early stage of planning. Whether these updates would be launched one by one or roll out an entirely new game as "Anthem 2.0" or "Anthem Next" is not clear yet.

They can either release periodical series of patches like No Man's Sky or follow model of Destiny: The Taken King. This probably is why they have abandoned a planned roadmap of post-launch content to offer an improved experience.

RELATED: Breath of the Wild Sequel Rumored to Release in 2020

Since their continued support has been lackluster so far, one can only wonder how BioWare is doing on their latest plan. If they ended up releasing a brand-new product, then original players should be allowed to chime in for free.

Since most recent updates did very little to excite their deprived fan-base and Cataclysm mode has performed poorly, developers are to streamline mission structure and loot system of this multiplayer shooter title to address known issues.

RELATED: Warner Bros. Cancelled Two Superman Games

Redemption stories in video game are very rare but sometime there are great comeback stories like No Man's Sky with their regular updates or like Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, which saw a complete makeover from scratch.

Then there are examples like online action RPG title Fallout 76 from Bethesda Softworks that does little to nothing to fix their broken game and then try to charge their existing players for private servers that many were requesting for long.

RELATED: Play Anthem With Origin Access

Lately, EA has recruited help from other development teams to help core dev team to make progress. Players are still hoping to see the game light up as originally promised and BioWare is working really hard not to disappoint fans again.

Electronic Arts have even added Anthem to their EA Access catalog of title back in September, only seven months within release. Although, we don't have an official confirmation yet, a complete rework of gameplay systems is likely to come soon.
