Rage 2 Official Gameplay Trailer

The official gameplay trailer for first-person shooter Rage 2 from Bethesda showing off intense apocalyptic mayhem.

We had a lot going on at this point with upcoming first-person shooter RAGE 2 from id Software and Bethesda Softworks. First there was a Walmart listing which leaked that the game is in development, then the announcement trailer got leaked online and they eventually released it after taking down the leaked one. The first live-action trailer didn't give away much except for the type of tone the game will adapt and announced that they will drop a gameplay reveal trailer today!

RELATED: RAGE 2 Officially Announced

Just as they said yesterday, the official gameplay trailer is finally here. If you expected it to be intense and feral, then you guessed it right.

RELATED: RAGE 2 Confirmed by Leaked Teaser

With this trailer, we are back on the wasteland but not quite the one from the first game but something that looks similar to Mad Max. The protagonist is the last remaining Ranger named Walker and not U.S. Marine Nicholas Raine this time. Into the vastness of empty desert and concrete jungle, you will go through hordes of uncivilized goons to reach your primary goal of ensuring the downfall of The Authority. Since your character has been robbed off everything he owned, he shouldn't have any problem to follow that agenda.

Although it was solely a gameplay trailer, we got a good chunk of back-story as well, which is mostly vague and typical for such type of game. They really have made the gameplay better this time as you can see in the clip above. Whether it is some mohawk sporting skinny punks or hulking mutant enemies, shooting at them mercilessly is sure looks fun. The visuals are improved as well as a bigger open world is for players to roam through. On top of these, there is that damn pink color almost everywhere!

Currently, action shooter RAGE 2 is planning to release on 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The original RAGE came out in 2011 and after six long years, developer id Software is bringing the franchise back along with Avalanche Studios. Bethesda probably have had plans to release these trailer to E3 or at least not just now but thanks to all these recent leaks, the publisher have had enough and straight out dropped it out of the box.

Beyond Good and Evil 2 Gameplay Reveal

Beyond Good & Evil 2 first gameplay footage has been revealed that provides a brief look at how fight in space will be like.

At E3 2017, Ubisoft's upcoming action-adventure title Beyond Good and Evil 2 was teased once again, which is a sequel to original Beyond Good and Evil. Some of the very early stage of gameplay mechanics video of this title is recently released as developers offered up a sneak peak on what the players are getting into when it finally comes out. While they open up for fans of the series after a long break, we got a glimpse at some multiplayer combat action and how a few other stuff works out in-game.

beyond good and evil 2 gameplay video
Beyond Good and Evil 2 Gameplay Reveal

Here is a work-in-progress video that has the gameplay footage showing some played out combat moves and regular co-op activities.

Though this clip is slightly longer than two minutes length, actual gameplay is there for only about 45 seconds. You can even notice a watermark on the video marking it as a “pre-alpha” version of the project. We see a number of different spaceships flying around and how players can also use jetpacks for transportation. Both your role as a pirate in action and piloting those ships are essentially required for two type of game-playing. You cannot just discount one skill for another.

BGE2 promises to be an overall improvement over its predecessor and deliver an experience which is enormous. One of the prime features that we saw in this clip is that how you are allowed to move between your inner or outer surroundings, just like 2016's No Man's Sky from Hello Games. A tight Afro sporting black female named Shani remains the focus for the entire clip, mostly displaying her skills with staff. The fighting style may reminiscent a bit more like the first game but it is better now.

Not only there will be collision between massive airships, it promises to bring back melee sword fight from the original BGE. Players are on a solar system named System 3 and aside from being a pirate captain, roles like medic and spy are there to play but whether or not those tasks would be carried out by AI or other participants are yet to be confirmed. Though the presentation above was relatively short, Ubisoft promises to unveil a lot more at E3 2018 with more details.

There was almost an hour long developer live-stream on Twitch, where creative director Michel Ancel talked about what they have been up to with BGE2.

During last year's E3 media showcase, interested players were invited by developers to join Space Monkey Program, which will allow those individuals to first-hand experience of playing it and sharing their different views. This is more like an inbound beta test that also reveals that the game will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One upon release even though it is not mentioned anywhere else or no confirmed platforms are announced yet. If the game will be ported to Nintendo Switch or not is still unclear.

Dark Souls: Remastered is Discounted for PC

Those who already own Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition from Steam will get 50% off on Dark Souls Remastered.

Following an announcement in January, we know now that publisher Bandai Namco will release a Remastered version of From Software's original Dark Souls as Dark Souls: Remastered for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Back then, there was also an argument over whether or not fans who already own a copy on PC and the responses came from publisher's spokesperson seemed more confusing and contradicting than our own guesses. Finally, it has come to an end.

RELATED: Dark Souls: Remastered Announced

Initially after announcement a few months back, we came to know from Bandai Namco that the game will be available on all platforms for a same price and there will be no discount. They came clean by stating that rumor of a discount came from an error on their e-commerce site, which has since been removed. Later, another post on Steam forums by new community manager for Bandai Namco neither denies nor confirms what to expect on the discounted price topic at all.

RELATED: Dark Souls: Remastered New Gameplay

Finally we can come clear on this to end all conflict of information by declaring that if you already have owned Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition on Steam then you would get a 50% discount on Dark Souls: Remastered after it is launched. The remastered version is originally priced $39.99, so at half-price, it's like you are getting an upgrade for the game on PC. However, the "Prepare To Die" edition that came with added DLC along with the main game will be removed from Valve's store within May 9.

RELATED: Wolfenstein II Nintendo Switch Release Date

Many players will still be complaining even after the price reduction because a remastered edition is nothing much but mostly a graphically enhanced version and we really cannot argue on that point as it is true. Besides, none of the developer or publisher has revealed anything about including new features or so. There is no scope of price cut for any console owners as this title was not released on any other platforms than PC. We just hope that the game fares better in providing experience than various PC mods out there.

Also, did we mention that Bandai Namco has dropped another brief gameplay trailer from the re-release to remind us what is waiting in there to creep upon players? It is right below for you to check out.

RELATED: Dark Souls: Remastered on Nintendo Switch Delayed

Dark Souls is considered as one of the best action role-playing game ever made and there has been request for Remastered edition for quite long and scheduled for May 25 release on all the mentioned consoles above except Switch, which will debut on Nintendo's hybrid platform at a later date. It seems that just like the game itself, the road to Lordran is filled with preemptive trouble before you even engage in fight with demons and wraiths during your in-game quests.

State of Decay 2 PAX-East 2018 Gameplay

Within a couple of months we are going to get our hands on co-op multiplayer survival horror game State of Decay 2 from Undead Labs and Microsoft Studios. As the moment of release approaches closer every day, the developers are dropping new information every now and then to tease us some more about the game. For now, we got a brand-new trailer featuring new in-game footage and gameplay, straight outta PAX East 2018.

Be sure to take a quick look at the clip below to have some idea on combat and surrounding environments you will be stepping on from Undead Labs.

The gameplay trailer from above gives us some more in-depth glance at base building and character selection than the once we saw before. Defending your base from attacks of incoming zombie horde is as important as clearing out the once roaming in the street. Though it wasn't some serious piece of performance in the clip, we still get the idea of how things are. Most important aspect we noticed is that the balance of stockpile, build base and protect it from undead invasion at all time.

RELATED: State of Decay 2 Collector’s Edition Announced

Combat system presents some variety for you to keep from being repetitive. You can sneak up on them using stealth, melee attack them directly, run over by them with your vehicle, hit them with your car door or just grab one of them and throw away. One thing that you will quickly realize after a while that, these zombies don't come at you all at once but if you linger them for some time, they will quickly overwhelm you and it will be too late then.

RELATED: State of Decay 2 Won't Have Micro-Transactions

State of Decay 2 is an open world zombie game, which will be available to play on May 22, 2018 for PC and Xbox One as part of Xbox Play Anywhere experience. During launch, it will also be on Xbox Game Pass and at 4K resolution the game will ran on Xbox One X as well. Bravo to the developer team for not including any micro-transactions within the game, which is a great initiative in the age of loot boxes.

Below is a recently released short clip from Capcom announcing the release date and some few other great things about Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection for you to check out.

Needless to mention that players are way too excited for the game because it packs years of nostalgia in one set that allows you to enjoy all those retro era games from the Street Fighter series on modern day gaming platforms. Some of the most essential titles like the Street Fighter Alpha Series and Street Fighter Turbo Series have made it to the anthology. You do not need to unlock any of these games and they all are available to play from the start.

Among these greatest releases, Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter II: Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha 3, and Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike is up for online multiplayer. Another aspect that is common for these four titles are that they all are final installments of their cycle. The rules for the multiplayer is that, four players will go online and two of them will engage in a match while the other watching and wait for their turn.

This all feels like a re-creation of the arcade feel, where you are faced by challengers during a fight with the AI. The only difference is, it's all online now. Whenever you are done with your opponent, you get back to face the CPU controlled characters. You can turn this on and off at your will to complete the whole game without someone interrupting you with a challenge in the middle of an ongoing fight. However, this is probably the closest they will be able to give us that nostalgic arcade vibe.

Any game of the Street Fighter Alpha series or Street Fighter III features the gameplay evolution of the franchise for you. Also, all the above mentioned sections are unlocked from the very beginning to save you from trouble.

God of War Combat System Explained

The newest title from the God of War series is about to drop within months and players around the world are already hyped as hell for this game. Developer Santa Monica Studio and publisher Sony is bringing Kratos back to action once again but not like the way he used to be of course. While everyone is calling this one a reboot and the studio refused to name it "God of War 4", there are still elements that totally separate the game from all other releases of the series.

One of the many things that helped God of War of 2018 to stand out from the rest of the franchise is the evolved combat system. Below is a clip where game director Cory Barlog and lead combat designer Jason McDonald discusses about it and we recommend you to watch it.

RELATED: Marvel’s Spider-Man Possible Release Date

As always, God of War means some extra hype among fans and some more craze with Kratos, which will be no different this time either. Most of the previous installments of the series mostly focused on traditional arcade brawling or mindless hack/slash towards the enemies. The upcoming title however, is more purposeful on the action that takes place. Kratos in a fight feels more relatable to you with the new control scheme.

Time has passed, gameplay of the series has changed but good ole' Kratos didn't lose his temper at all and he still hits pretty hard. No longer has he been wielding those Blades of Exile but he chose a new weapon called The Leviathan Axe. Slashing your enemies or just splitting them over with the Axe is what Kratos do for his namesake. Pressing R1 and R2 in times of playing will allow you to perform those attacks in-game.

Here is 15 minutes of extended gameplay from God of War to offer you better understanding of the progression system the game employs.

The Leviathan Axe has another feat, where it is thrown at enemies and Kratos can recall his axe back to him, much like Thor does with his Mjolnir. Anything that stands between the way of it and his hand is destined to get devastated. This weapon is also good for hurling at and gives the wielder some time while the victim is pinned down and there are others to take care of as well. Away from the axe, Kratos is all good with his bare-knuckle punches to decimate whoever stands opposing him.

New Control Scheme

Aside from these, he blocks and swing back for counter attacks with his shield, which makes the fights more strategic rather than jumping into mindless bashing. Despite the series being moved from its roots a little bit with a slight different path, you will still enjoy this. At times, gameplay mechanics of this new title may even seem familiar to Bloodborne or Dark Souls and that might appeal the game to many other players who haven't played God of War before.

RELATED: Dark Souls: Remastered Announced

Kratos can get into his Spartan Rage if you press L3 and R3 at the same time, sending him into frenzy at his enemies to lay waste of them. God of War makes the bare-knuckle fight part so enjoyable that you might actually prefer it over The Leviathan Axe sometimes. It's just happens to be so satisfying to crush your enemies with bare hands and when you are good at this. Players get to customize their weapon, grow combat skill trees, pick up gears and stat upgrades.

An Extension of Kratos

Then we got Kratos’s son Atreus acting as an extension for the God of War, who will be scouring the nearby areas and give out enemy positions. Atreus comes in handy to stun certain enemies with a powerful arrow that were about to getaway. This is actually pretty cool as it gives Atreus to hang out with his father on the battlefield rather than just purposelessly wandering around him. This is a bad-ass father and his aspiring son into becoming the dynamic duo for next generation of video games.

God of War is waiting for April 20 release date and the game is releasing worldwide for playing on PlayStation 4 only. Being a PlayStation 4-exclusive, this game is already one of the most anticipated games of 2018 for Sony console owners. Playing it on a PlayStation 4 Pro with a TV that has 4K display will let you enjoy the advanced quality of graphics and you will be able to notice the details of Kratos’s armor and outfit.

The franchise also spawned a couple of successful games for mobile devices and other platforms. Seems like, The Walking Dead is aiming for being the most adapted concept on various media. Following the insane success of the free-to-play mobile game Pokémon GO, The Walking Dead is coming soon with the AR technology for their upcoming mobile release The Walking Dead: Our World.

Developer Next Games have dropped a sneak peek gameplay trailer for upcoming The Walking Dead: Our World on YouTube recently.

Those who have already played the predecessor game employing AR technology could immediately relate the similarities between Pokémon GO and The Walking Dead: Our World, well, except for the end of the world part of course. Since the game is based on AMC television series, which means you may bump into Carl Grimes, Daryl Dixon, Glenn Rhee, Rick Grimes or Michonne cleaning up zombie hordes as well as yourself.

With Telltale Games' episodic survival horror take on the series, gamers on many platforms are already in love with the post-apocalyptic world of The Walking Dead. Plus, another adventure of the undead world set in Washington is coming soon in Overkill’s The Walking Dead. Now-a-days, people are always busy with their cell phones and Next Games just brought the thrill of the action into their pocket and grasp at any time.
