Assassin's Creed Valhalla Gameplay Footage Leaked

Ahead of UbiForward event next week, gameplay footage from Assassin's Creed Valhalla gets leaked online.

In late April, developer/publisher Ubisoft officially announces Assassin's Creed Valhalla, latest installment of Assassin's Creed action-adventure stealth game series for modern consoles and Windows PC, scheduled for holiday 2020 release.

Most recently, a 30 minute-long gameplay footage of AC Valhalla got leaked online that shows-off combat mechanics, open-world, story settings and much more, shortly ahead of upcoming Ubisoft Forward event set for July 12, 2020.

Although Ubisoft has taken quick attempts to take down these videos from YouTube swiftly using its copyright system, many other video sharing and social media platforms are passing the footage along, including Reddit and Streamable.

Ubisoft trying to take these videos down confirms that latest leaks are genuine and were meant to reveal on UbiForward event. However, video quality for leaked footage is not that impressive because they are not from an authorized source.

Below is 30 minute gameplay of Assassin's Creed Valhalla that was leaked earlier and scrubbed from online.

RELATED: Assassin's Creed Valhalla First Gameplay Trailer

Given how the leaked video is labeled "WORK IN PROGRESS" only suggests that this probably some in-development footage and whatever Ubisoft is currently planning to show at their Forward event on July 12 is most likely to change.

Recent footage from Valhalla shows fierce Viking protagonist Eivor in action, repeating same formula of Assassin's Creed Origins and Odyssey. There are different paths to choose from as well as varied options for gears and skills in combat.

Previously, Ubisoft offered a first look at Valhalla gameplay during Microsoft reveal event in May 2020 that was just an in-engine cinematic trailer and no gameplay at all, which has disappointed many of Assassin's Creed fan-base.

Ubisoft is expected to showcase brand-new Assassin's Creed Valhalla gameplay overview at UbiForward event next week. Fans can also look forward to a reveal trailer for long-rumored Far Cry 6 and get a glimpse at Watch Dogs: Legion.

From its debut trailer and official press release, it seems that Resident Evil Village will only be launched on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, despite an early retailer leak of PlayStation 4 version suggested cross-gen release.

Capcom originally started development of RE: Village as a cross-generation game but due to unintended circumstances, they recently had to shift focus on next-generation consoles only, according to industry leaker AestheticGamer.

In recent Twitter thread, AestheticGamer aka Dusk Golem revealed reasons for RE8 becoming a next-gen title.

RELATED: Resident Evil 4 Remake Reportedly in Works

Even four months ago, Capcom planned to release Resident Evil 8 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms but that idea had to abandon midway because of longer loading times of last-gen consoles and a major graphical overhaul.

To get over these setbacks, Capcom simply stopped working on PS4 and Xbox versions so RE8 will have almost no loading time at all. Also, they can push for better graphics quality in next-gen without being stuck to last-gen system.

RE8: Village brings back Ethan Winters from RE7, who has resumed a normal life in peace with his wife Mia. Then one day BSAA agent Chris Redfield suddenly showed up at his doorstep to cause a tragic event, throwing his life into turmoil.

There were rumors of Resident Evil 8 being the darkest among whole RE series, featuring scary enemy designs and a redesigned Chris Redfield will be serving as an antagonist, many of which has already been confirmed in recent trailer.

Village has a lot of loading zones and travelling though locations to focus on exploration, which was limited by its last-gen versions. Resident Evil 8 is playable now but Capcom is working on a graphical overhaul, starting in late 2019.

Given how Resident Evil VIII: Village continues to pursue first-person horror, there might be a version to support PSVR in future eventually. Capcom may also end up announcing PlayStation 4 and Xbox One port for RE8 on a later date.

While discussing for a potential date for new Silent Hill game reveal on August, AestheticGamer also talked about Resident Evil 8 being a cross-gen title currently awaiting showcase on June, most probably on PlayStation 5 reveal event.

Capcom previously revealed Resident Evil 3 Remake on a State of Play broadcast last year before getting leaked on PlayStation Network and therefore, Resident Evil 8 getting revealed on June 4 at a Sony event actually makes sense.

New Star Wars Game May be Revealed Next Week

EA Motive joins Twitter only to spark rumors of next Star Wars game online, which is likely to reveal next week.

After barely surviving loot box controversy back in 2017 for action shooter title Star Wars Battlefront II, developer Respawn Entertainment has saved face for publisher Electronic Arts with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order last year.

A sequel to Fallen Order has already been greenlit and recent Reddit threads full of teases from industry reporters hints that EA is very much likely to reveal their next Star Wars project sooner than you think, probably in June 2020.

In early March, an accidental leak at PlayStation Network revealed an image for Star Wars: Project Maverick, which was eventually deleted from PSN shortly afterwards and Electronic Arts neither confirmed nor denied about the game.

Many are speculating that Project Maverick will be showcased at upcoming PlayStation 5 reveal event on June 4, 2020. However, since Disney or EA has not officially confirmed anything yet, fans would be wise to take it with a grain of salt.

Jeff Grubb offered another piece of that puzzle by sharing his Summer Game Mess schedule full of upcoming game announcements and digital events on Twitter, where he cryptically lists "Mel Gibson picture" entry for June 2, 2020.

Those who are wondering what connection does actor Mel Gibson has with Top Gun: Maverick film should know that Gibson has starred in a 1994 film called Maverick, which is not only a clever callback but a better decoy as well.

Not much is known about Star Wars: Project Maverick aside from a PlayStation Network leaked image featuring an Imperial Star Destroyer and a few X-Wing fighters, possibly hinting at return of Star Wars: Rogue Squadron-style game.

NeoGAF user Arctos claimed to receive this information directly from a former employee of Bandai Namco that states a possible 2020 release even though no gameplay or story premise is shared of upcoming anticipated ARPG title yet.

According to sources, development process was halted by recent global crisis and a previously planned release window for summer 2020 had to move to Q3 of current fiscal year to let dev team work on Elden Ring next-gen ports.

Currently looking forward to an October-December 2020 launch window, the game is now in a playable state in terms of content. From Software is busy optimizing and polishing it now while readying PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X ports.

Players shouldn't expect anything other than high resolutions and increased frame-rates from updated version on next-gen consoles. Also, Sony has reportedly tried to make a PS5 timed exclusive deal for the game but was unsuccessful.
