Check out the trailer below from Ubisoft introducing two new Operators Lion and Finka for Operation Chimera.

Ubisoft has a history of adding an attacker and a defender, whenever they release new operators for Rainbow Six Siege but this time they made an exception by giving attacking attributes to Lion & Finka. Besides, previously the developers introduced fresh operators based on real-life Special Forces units of different countries. For Operation Chimera however, they are members of a fictional elite squad named CBRN and are especially trained in biological warfare.

The following trailer clip details the key-features of biohazard specialist Operators Lion and Finka, joining Team Rainbow.

Since Rainbow Six Siege is going to see some odd circumstances this year, Lion and Finka are brought in considering their immense expertise on biohazard. Both of them get to choose from three of their primary weapons and they are Operators with 2-speed and 2-armor. The competitive multiplayer experience will never be the same with these two hanging out with the Rainbow Six team.

Our first Operator Finka hails straight from Russia and one of the best biohazard specialists out there. Using her Adrenal Surge ability by triggering nanites in their bloodstream, she can give a boost to every member of her team that will reduce recoil and give bonus HP. You can even revive one of the fellow attacker as long as they are just down but not out yet. The boost also lets you pass through pass barbed wire faster and will provide quick recoveries from concussion and flashbang effects. Adrenal Surge are up for use twice in each round.

Operator Lion is French and another newest recruit to the team for Operation Chimera, where the team will need his expertise. He scans the entire map with an aerial drone called EE-One-D for potential enemies and pin-points their location with it. If any member of the attacking team even takes a step, the drone identifies their movement in real-time, making it easy for Lion to take them out. Once he activates it as you can see a live countdown on the screen and should not take a step but you can rotate if you want. In each round, Lion can use up his drone for three times with a cool down period of course.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Hits 30 Million Sales

Last year's massive hit multiplayer online battle royale PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has become one of the most successful game of recent times. The game rules on Steam and its popularity is increasing all over the world like wildfire. According to a recent stat from SteamSpy, PUBG has apparently sold 30 million copies for PC, which is of course great news for developer PUBG Corporation.

However, Steam’s own API shows that the number of concurrent players on the game has been drastically falling down. That raises the question that where all these players are going if they are not playing the game upon purchase and where does it takes the game in future.

What we need to get checked first is that the number of 30 million sales is for the PC version of PUBG only and that does not include the sales of Xbox One edition, which is exceptionally great for a new game that was released on Steam's Early Access. Before it even tuned into one whole year, version 1.0 of the game is dropped back on December, 2017. Considering above mentioned points, it is safe to say that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds isn't doing bad and we don't need to worry about the game's ongoing progress either.

Aside from that, PUBG has managed to consistently claim the top spot on Steam as the most-played game on the platform. After the game took over the crown over Dota 2, it has never been brought down from the same position. Over 1.6 million people from United States are currently playing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and more than 1.1 billion hours have been played on PC so far.

The game had the highest number of participants simultaneously during the mid of January and the peak of that number was of more than 3 million players. Even if we take yesterday as an example, then there were more than 3 million concurrent gamers. So, the concern that is on everyone's mind is that, where are the rest of the people who bought PUBG?

RELATED: PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds PC 1.0 Update #2

There are a few possible reasons that pop into our curious minds on this regard. Most of the players who were initially very excited about the game may have lost interest. Many newcomers are maybe joining the party for version 1.0 of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds but they too are likely to go away soon. Then there is another battle royale game from Epic Games called Fortnite, which is free-to-play and since it's not on Steam, people are drifting away.

Another monumental reason for the drop on the number of players is the strict ban rule against those who cheat by PUBG Corp. If you think that idea is too far-fetched then you should also know that anti-cheat provider for the game, BattleEye has banned over 2.5 million players on this January alone. The shocking news is that the number of bans is only increasing every other day and if this continues, the end of February will see approximately 4 million bans.

RELATED: PUBG Crosses 3 Million Concurrent Players

Because of cheats, many players were robbed of their true gaming experience and abandoned the game. So, with help from Chinese government, PUBG Corp. even arrested a great number of cheat software providers in China. Despite all these issues, the game is still on the highest peak of Steam and not showing any signs of going down anytime soon. So, by cutting off all the cheats to create a fair online multiplayer environment, the developers are actually doing the right thing for the future of the project and the communities it has created worldwide.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is a last-man-standing shooter from PUBG Corporation, available to play on PC and Xbox One for now. In the foreseeable future, the developers can even release the game on PlayStation 4 as the idea is still on their consideration and we would very much love to see that happen.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Xbox One S Bundle Announced

The battle royale game that has changed the entire scenario of the multiplayer online shooters, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been a console launch exclusive in Xbox Game Preview for Xbox One for some time now. One of their most recent achievements is to cross 4 million players on console by the end of January. As a console partner for the game, Microsoft has taken the liberty of announcing a new Xbox One S bundle associated with the title.

Now, you know that you are getting a brand-new Xbox One S console and a copy of PUBG along with the package of course. Other aspects that are included in this bundle are what we are discussing down below.

  • The Xbox One S bundle will come with a 1TB hard drive and an Xbox Wireless Controller. There is a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player built-in, which will not only support you with 4K video streaming but the Dolby Atmos premium audio quality. Plus, you are getting access on a library of more than 1,300 games including recent sensations like Cuphead and Forza Motorsport 7.

  • You can get your hands on the full-version of last-man-standing shooter PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. You either enter the battle royale on your own or take your partner as a team of dynamic-duos or a gang of trusty game-buddies to fam squad on the opponents. Y'know, whatever lets you earn that victory feast of chicken dinner.

  • There is a 1-month trial period of Xbox Live Gold membership along with the bundle that promises you the experience of heart-pounding multiplayer gaming on Microsoft's advanced network that you always wanted.

  • Lastly, a 1-month Xbox Game Pass trial is also comes up for you to pick up 100 Xbox One games form the grand selection. You can also enjoy upcoming exclusive game titles like Crackdown 3, Sea of Thieves and State of Decay 2 on the same day of their worldwide release.

Since Xbox One has a crisis for good-time games to have as exclusive to their console, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is a nice addition to their collection and it was quite a good decision to bundle the game with Xbox consoles. Because, PUBG is undisputedly ruling the gaming industry right now and will probably give a fighting chance to Microsoft's consoles against Sony's PlayStation 4 and other competitors.

All things considered, the Xbox One S Bundle deal that comes for $299.99 is pretty decent as we see no similar offer for Xbox One just yet. Despite the increasing amount of cheats, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds remains a massive hit on both Steam and Xbox One. Developer PUBG Corp. has been working on an anti-cheat solution for PC version and we believe that they soon will have an Xbox edition of the update.

PUBG Anti-Cheat Update For PC Delayed

Without any doubt, survival shooter PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is currently the hottest game on the planet. That indeed is great news for developer PUBG Corp. but the one thing that is keep bugging them constantly is the problem with the rising number of cheats that are being drawn towards the game like moth to fire. To deal with this issue, they have taken several necessary measures in-game and even took help from law enforcement.

pubg anti cheat update delayed for pc
PUBG Anti-Cheat Update For PC Delayed

They have been working on an effective anti-cheat patch and that update was about to drop today, on February 5 but unfortunately, it is delayed for now. This patch was supposed to be the most ruthless mechanism they have ever come up with to fight against the cheating problem in PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. During their compatibility checking on their test servers, the studio faced an issue and thus delayed the release of the update.

RELATED: Tencent Helped Chinese Police Arrest PUBG Cheaters

The patch was about to block people from using third-party programs that would either help the players with the gameplay or improve the graphics for visual aid. It will go through the system and search within the game files to look for such applications that either effects or interacts with PUBG.

One particular third-party program that the PUBG developers found unfair to use is called ReShade that helps players to make the game more vibrant that it's usually pale visual. That means, users of ReShade may gain slight competitive advantage over the ones who doesn't use it. However, the using of ReShade will not resulting a ban to anyone. Instead, it will prevent the users from playing PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds as long as the program is installed in the system.

RELATED: PUBG Anti-Cheat Will Block ReShade

In some cases, players may need to reinstall the game to get back online for the patch to work. The post from PUBG forums also informs that various audio or video recording software that don't really concern the gameplay might also be blocked by the update and one such example will be Nvidia ShadowPlay. This is of course a temporary issue that the developers are trying to get a solution for as soon as possible.

RELATED: PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds PC 1.0 Update #2

One other important thing to note is that, anti-cheat software developer BattlEye has banned over more than 1 million cheats for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. In October 2017, they have been banning 6K-13K players on PUBG per day and the peak was 20K for a single day. The numbers of ban then escalated from a 42K to 100K for a 24 hour time period. Most of these cheats were banned from China and following the January bans the amount of banned PUBG players have totaled at 1.5 million so far, which is never a good sign.

Last December, a stat showed PUBG having crossed the landmark for 3 million concurrent players and set a new high for the game. According to the most recent graph, the game still has more than 2.8 million concurrent participants on Steam. Cheating is a cancerous problem in any given online multiplayer game and given the problem with the ever-growing number of cheats in PUBG hasn't still daunted the fans of the game means; there is still hope to eradicate this malice.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is an online last-man-standing shooter released in 2017 for PC and Xbox One. Microsoft and PUBG Corp. are trying their heart and soul with an anti-cheat solution for PC version to improve the environment for the most popular battle royale out there. Hopefully, they will also take initiatives for an Xbox One edition as well.

Rainbow Six Siege: Outbreak Details

Ubisoft's tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege has been based known for its parallel run with reality so far but that thing is changing very soon. With the release of upcoming Outbreak event, the series will step into the sci-fi genre and probably even meet aliens. Yes, visitors from outer-space are about to step foot and the elite Rainbow team will have an encounter with the strange visitors on unfriendly turfs.

Rainbow Six Siege: Outbreak and Space Capsule

You can stop looking suspicious at us and take a quick look at this newly released short-clip from developer/publisher Ubisoft titled "Space Capsule" to find out if we are kidding or not.

Now that we have successfully established that neither Ubisoft, nor us were not playing cuckoo about the alien matter, let's get onto more details about it. Outbreak is a forthcoming co-op event from the third year of content of Rainbow Six Siege. During Operation Chimera, the event was teased and two brand-new operators, one of whom is specially trained for biological and chemical attacks. All we lacked was information on what sort of quarantined area they will be going into.

RELATED: Rainbow Six Siege Year 3 DLC Announced

Initially, these clues and the biohazard sign on the promotional teaser image suggested that the counter-terrorism operatives of Rainbow Six team will be tasked to take down a zombie epidemic but with the new "Space Capsule" trailer, that changes. So, instead of an undead threat, they will be dealing with extraterrestrial menaces. Apparently, the trouble is originated with a recovered Russian spacecraft in a small town of New Mexico.

An alien parasite that came out of an old Soviet space capsule called the Apex starts transforming the locals into hostile beings. As the extraterrestrial threat starts terrorizing the populace, Smoke, Ying, Buck, Kapkan, Ash, Doc, Tachanka and Glaz will be joined by French Operator Lion and a Russian Operator Finka on a mission to the town of Truth or Consequences. This means, these are the only playable Operators for the Outbreak event and a team of three Operators will be sent in.

RELATED: Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege's Blood Orchid is Bugged

Ubisoft has seemingly avoided the word "zombies" in their promotions for and instead are calling them people turning into "horrific creatures" by aliens. There will be five unique types of them with their distinctive abilities for the hot zone specialists Rainbow Six team to take down. Most recently, the developers have also played with the idea of introducing alien threats to another of their real-life like tactical shooter Ghost Recon Wildlands by dropping popular sci-fi character The Predator from the 1987 movie of the same name.

RELATED: Predator Comes to Ghost Recon Wildlands

Outbreak offers you Normal and Pandemic difficulty levels, both having different game-playing style. In Pandemic mode, not only you will come across tough enemies but you can catch on some friendly fires too. That makes your communication a vital point of the game and you need positional awareness at all times. Since your target won't bother getting shot a few times before taking a dig at you, start using the blockades and reinforcements from your surrounding environment smartly.

There are three large exclusive maps to explore that are designed for the purpose for co-op gameplay. With dangers lurking in every corner, the trademark "environmental destruction" of the game is still there for you to blow up and create holes in the wall too. Plus, don't forget about the weapons and uniform cosmetic packs for this timed-event.

The month-long Outbreak event along with Rainbow Six Siege Year 3 will begin on March 6 and will draw conclusion of the co-op on April 3. The content will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One right from the beginning. So, it's at least four weeks of stay in the Quarantine Zone fighting those mutated horrors. While playing Operation Chimera on Rainbow Six Siege technical test servers, players can try out Outbreak from February 20 before it completely releases though.

PUBG Anti-Cheat Will Block ReShade

Even though PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been dominating both PC and Xbox One, the most common complain you always hear about the game is that the color palette of this last-man-standing shooter is not vibrant enough. In other words, the visual of this game is sort of pale compared to any other. So, people who play this game on Microsoft Windows uses many third-party tools to see things better and one of the program is called ReShade.

RELATED: Tencent Helped Chinese Police Arrest PUBG Cheaters

Currently, PUBG developers are working on to make sure that people cannot use ReShade anymore in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds to increase fairness or to make it more colorful. While all ReShade does is to add more light to the eyes of the players but it also helps the user see their opponents better in the background. So, the program is actually helping the players with a seemingly non-harmful yet unfair means to win.

Ever since the survival shooter game of PUBG Corporation hit an incredible height on Steam and Xbox One, it attracted the unwanted attention of the cheats to the game. Developer and publisher studio banned more than a thousand players, arrested many cheat software maker with the help of Chinese government and whatever else they could have done to prevent cheats. They even added a replay camera through one of their latest update to file reports against anything in-game that looks suspicious.

RELATED: PUBG May Come to PlayStation 4

Previously, Brendan Greene, director of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds deemed the usage of ReShade as not an offense that should get them banned and flagged it "Okay". Some of the popular PUBG streamers also used ReShade in the past on many occasion. Plus, considerable amount of request from spectators were made about the program for enhancing the viewing experience for them. However, developers have finally decided that they are not going to allow it anymore.

RELATED: PUBG Crosses 3 Million Concurrent Players

Apparently, they are testing a new anti-cheat solution to fend off the cheats in their test servers. Any third-party program that helps player to affect the visuals or gameplay in any way possible will be blocked out from now on for the sake of a better gaming environment. As ReShade is a renowned program used by PUBG players to improve visuals, it is getting blocked away too.

Star Wars Battlefront II Missed Sales Targets

If things would've been different, Star Wars Battlefront II could have been the successful action shooter video game everyone hoped for it to be. Instead, it becomes such an abomination of the series that the fans held in such high standards previously. All because of Electronic Arts’ (not-so) bright idea of introducing the concept of micro-transactions through in-game loot boxes and thus, causing massive fan outrage.

Star Wars Battlefront II Missed Sales Targets

Recently, Chief Executive Officer Andrew Wilson of Electronic Arts have revealed their most anticipated release of last year, Battlefront II have failed to meet their expected sales target in their quarterly earnings conference call. EA expected to sell at least 10 million copies within the end of December, which is the third quarter of their 2018 fiscal year but so far, they have shipped only 9 million copies of the game and therefore they are one million copies short to meet the estimated sales target.

RELATED: Star Wars: The Last Jedi Update for Star Wars Battlefront II

According to Wall Street Journal, EA’s chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen states that they require to sell 1 million to 3 million units more within the end of March, the conclusion of the fiscal year. Even if they manage to do that somehow, Battlefront II will still remain behind the previous game of the series, Star Wars Battlefront that shipped over 14 million copies within 2016 fiscal year and was more appreciated by the fans than the current installment.

RELATED: Star Wars Battlefront II Controversy Hurts EA Stock Price

When the much-controversial micro-transaction outrage hit EA in the face before the release of the game, they have removed it almost immediately and as a result, players cannot purchase the in-game currency of "Crystals Pack" or any other loot crates anymore. The company also said that they will eventually bring it back and Jorgensen reminded us that they are bringing the in-game purchase system in a few months when they deem fit.

RELATED: Reddit Bashed EA Over Battlefront II Loot Boxes

Needless to say that, the failing to meet sales target was largely because of the greedy attempts of EA to try and slip through the pay-to-win policy in-game. As for an AAA game developer, this move was pretty careless considering people already spending $60 for a full-priced game. At first, many have appreciated them for not including any overpriced season pass DLC but then players found out that Battlefront II has locked weapons and player upgrades after the Beta went public.

star wars battlefront 2 loot boxes returning
Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker Are Locked

Before the release of Star Wars Battlefront II, EA promised to include many fan-favorite and legendary Star Wars characters from all three trilogies of the series but then EA locked out classic characters like Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker behind shady paywalls, which was a major disappointment for the dedicated fan-base of Star Wars franchise. Contents based on The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi movie could have added more attraction for the consumers if they hadn't done what they did.

RELATED: Star Wars Battlefront II Micro-Transactions Outrage

Although CEO Andrew Wilson denies it completely, rumor in the air is that, this move has also cost their previous tidy relationship with Disney. Back then, things escalated so much so after a post on Reddit caused the loot crate controversy that Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger had to step up right away and make EA back out of their of pay-to-win practices at that instant.

RELATED: Emperor Palpatine Joins Star Wars Battlefront II

Currently, Star Wars Battlefront II is available worldwide to play on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Despite considering all the shady moves Electronic Arts tried to pull for a few extra bucks, Battlefront II is pretty enjoyable and even without access of the legendary hero characters upfront, you can still have a good time playing the game and explore the Star Wars universe in your own way.
