Crash Bandicoot Game Teased in PlayStation Ad

Latest PlayStation ad from Sony might have teased brand-new Crash Bandicoot game awaiting reveal.

Debuted back in 90's on PlayStation consoles, Crash Bandicoot franchise almost became an unofficial mascot for Sony's gaming platform and even today, it is largely popular to a wide range of audience due to modern-day remasters.

A recently released live-action commercial by PlayStation featuring renowned characters from many first and third part IPs, most likely has teased a brand-new game from the same series, rumored to be called Crash Bandicoot Worlds.

At one point at this ad titled "It's Time to Play" (0:11), Crash can be seen racing in his kart with an Aku-Aku mask floating alongside him and another never-before-seen one hovering around villain character Neo Cortex on that same frame.

Given how much it costs to make an advert like that, no will try to sneak in a non-canon mask there without any valid reason. Many have simply overlooked that small detail but then started spinning out ideas about it when noticed.

Nicholas Kole, artist for Activision owned subsidiary developer studio Toys for Bob then Retweeted the following.

Kole previously posted on Twitter and then quickly deleted an image that seems like a character art from an unannounced project. He then suspiciously shared an image from the ad pointing out that mystery mask by a fellow a Twitter user.

Shortly afterwards, a fan on Reddit noticed a print ad for Crash Bandicoot on a bus as part of same campaign for PlayStation brand. They used modern rendition of his character model that is slightly revamped to look similar to PS original design.

Then another leak from a source came out a while ago that originally broke news of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy remakes ahead of any official reveal, which suggests the game is reportedly being called Crash Bandicoot Worlds.

Currently under development by Toys for Bob and Vicarious Visions as a semi open-world game like Super Mario 3D World, it would possibly unveil at The Game Awards 2019 on 13 December, 2019 with a timed PlayStation 4 exclusivity.
