Latest update makes debut of a new class of starship to add to your fleet, which are actually sentient creatures known as Living Ship. They are organic entities who can grow in variations and are capable to take you to interstellar voyages.

In a series of story missions called "Starbirth", players can head over to ancient Korvax experiments to unlock secrets about their origin and those who want to raise one of them should visit to Space Anomaly collecting Void Egg.

These biological ships have their own fleshy technologies and can be upgraded with organic materials. Each one of them should be hatched and nurtured to grow your custom ship with hyperdrive or tentacle covered cockpit.

Living Ship update makes an ever so expansive NMS a lot more creepy yet interesting than it already is. While scouting through star systems, there might be rare space encounters with new and strange objects or dangerous lifeforms.

During your travel to endless space, you may very well come across some NPCs and stop by to say hello to them. Many of them are just merchants who want to see if you are interested in buying something or maybe are looking for help.

Upon release, No Man's Sky was a huge disappointment to players because of repetitive gameplay and missing features. Hello Games dropped several free updates since then and NMS has truly become what they originally promised.

No Man's Sky May Come to Nintendo Switch

Hello Games studio founder Sean Murray is interested to see No Man's Sky being ported on Nintendo Switch.

Even after having a disappointing launch on PC and PlayStation 4, developer/publisher Hello Games have managed to turn things around with action-adventure survival game No Man's Sky by delivering promised features through series of updates.

Soon, they are about to introduce enhanced multiplayer and VR support in latest major update Beyond for free. Lately, game director/studio founder Sean Murray talked about possible potential of a Nintendo Switch version of NMS.

When asked about a Switch port of their expansive sci-fi game in an interview, Sean Murray had the following to say.

It's super interesting, I love the Switch. We're obviously very focused on what we're doing right now, but we have done a lot of work for PSVR to optimize the game. So I'd be interested to see what's possible. But at the moment, we're just very focused on what we're doing right now.

Rather than outright dismissing the idea, Murray interested in seeing a Switch version for No Man's Sky space epic. However, their hands are pretty tight at this moment working on frequently requested features and optimization.

Although many modern-day games may seem too complex for Nintendo handheld hardware, recent Switch port for The Witcher 3 of CD Projekt Red has proved that games with intense visual can run on the console considerably well.

With their small team of developers, Hello Games is tirelessly working on making good on their word and what not. So, they can simply partner-up with another company with resources to handle Nintendo Switch release of NMS on their behalf.

On August 14, Beyond is launching to be available for all No Man's Sky players free of charge and seeing debut of retail disc for PS4 version. Stepping into Switch platform will be good idea for the game since it will gain more audience reach.

Beyond will be a free expansion that includes three major updates within it and will introduce virtual reality support on PC and PS4. Players will be able to move around in short distances by teleporting throughout in-game world.

VR support will allow you to explore unforeseen alien planets in virtual reality from the cockpit of your starship. Feel free to casually interact with your non-VR online friends or your peers in multiplayer mode while you are at it.

Otherwise, everything else will be experienced like a standard game but VR would make things much more immersive. New radical social and multiplayer experience in Online focuses on bringing travelers from different universes together.

Murray has assured that social features will not turn NMS into an MMO; neither player would require any subscription of some sorts. Also, Beyond update is free for all existing players and doesn't have any micro-transactions at all.

No Man's Sky: Beyond Update Announced

No Man's Sky major update Beyond is announced and will come to all available platforms on summer 2019.

Although action-adventure survival game No Man's Sky from developer/publisher Hello Games saw a rocky launch on PC and PlayStation 4 for lack of promised features back in August 2016, they resolved those issues before Xbox One release in July 2018.

The studio eventually worked on it by introducing multiplayer components and then started releasing a series of free updates to deliver better experience to fans, which will be continued with upcoming free update Beyond in summer 2019.

A huge part of the gameplay of NMS involves exploration and initially a large number of initial complain from players was that in-game open world universe seemed a bit repetitive but listening to fan community, they fixed most part of that issues.

Following the release of NEXT update last year, Hello Games worked on a roadmap for their future releases. Beyond will roll in every feature that made all three of the past free updates great and would bring in No Man's Sky Online.

RELATED: No Man's Sky The Abyss Update

Their goal here is to expand social experience to the already existent multiplayer mode that will connect group of players from across worlds to play and interact together. Despite bringing large number of people in one place, it would not be an MMO.

General online elements will be there without anyone having to subscribe to any monthly services, nor there be any sort of micro-transactions and mostly, anyone who owns the game can instantly take part into the fray.

RELATED: No Man’s Sky NEXT Update Live Now

Ever since the developers released NEXT update that received very positive feedback for it, dev team started planning on bring more participants to the table rather than small groups of friends playing to make things a lot more exciting.

Hello Games is determined to take things to further and Beyond for the foreseeable future of No Man's Sky and what seemed like an ending after previous updates was actually a new beginning for the game to player community.
