Overwatch’s New Hero Ashe

BlizzCon 2018 has introduced the newest and 29th hero for Blizzard's acclaimed hero shooter Overwatch.

Last time developer/publisher Blizzard Entertainment introduced a super-intelligent hamster riding a death machine called Wrecking Ball as a new hero for their team-based multiplayer shooter Overwatch and now BlizzCon 2018 heralds for another one.

During the opening ceremony of the festival, Blizzard released a brand-new cinematic short "Reunion" set in the fictional universe of the popular hero shooter and featuring everyone's favorite gunslinger, Jesse McCree, this clip offers more than just one hero.

We won't be wasting any more time to hop in for a ride to find out whom McCree would encounter in "Reunion" and what that would lead to.

The short opens up showing a record labeled "Reunion" starts playing in an empty diner in Route 66, where a stranger is slowly enjoying his apple pie and coffee. Before he takes another bite, a train that was passing by is bombed and he leaves the cafe.

Picking his cowboy hat and holster after leaving a dime on the table, he goes outside and sees a group of military hardware traffickers robbing the train. One of them sees him and runs back to their leader, Ashe stating they got trouble.

It is then revealed that he was running scared to see Jesse McCree, who seems to know Ashe and apparently have shared past together. After their initial sarcastic greeting, McCree says he only want a certain crate from their loot and is not interested in their business.

When her omnic companion B.O.B. opens it up, she asks him what it is but he tries to dodge the question. This irked Ashe and minions of her Deadlock Gang starts taking position on Jesse in a Wild West fashion until he made his move on them.

He quickly incapacitated the gang by drawing his six-shooter Peacekeeper but they cornered him with concentrated fire. He throws out a couple of grenades at them and shoots the pins off mid-air to knock them all off at once before restraining the group.

Ashe wakes up to see her including the gang tied up while McCree opens the crate and pulls an omnic out that calls him her partner. Jokingly telling her to say hi to the monkey for him (Winston) he heads to attend to some unfinished business somewhere.

Aside from being a rugged outlaw, Ashe and B.O.B. has a history of their own before forming the Deadlock Gang and hit the streets.

Elizabeth Caledonia Ashe grew up in the middle of wealth but never had her family at her side when she felt their need. Having a rebellious nature, she always used to find troubles and get into fights but instead of her family, would always find B.O.B. beside her.

She came across McCree at some point and went on a crime spree before he moved to Blackwatch. Ashe eventually sets out for an adopted family of friends to form the Deadlock Gang, which becomes one of the biggest criminal syndicates in America.

Ashe wields a semi-automatic rifle called "The Viper" for firing quick and accurate shots but also carries a Coach Gun to blast off he opponents. Even though a sniper hero, she doesn't shy around from throwing a bundle of dynamite at her enemies.

She would often summon her robot companion B.O.B. to crushing down her rivals or shooting them down with his arm cannons. This powerful omnic sidekick can come in very handy and sometime can feel like a hero of his own.

Voiced by actress Jennifer Hale, Ashe was a complete surprise addition to the Overwatch roster even though Route 66 was hinted earlier after the revelation of Hammond as well as the upcoming character would somehow be related to McCree.

Currently, all attendees at BlizzCon 2018 get to play as Ashe and very soon she will hit PTR for players on PC for them to master her skills. Her addition to the game as a damage hero would sure brig some great changes and we look forward to her arrival. Echo too, will return soon as the 30th hero when her development is finally complete.

Diablo Immortal | Cinematic Trailer

It was months ago in August, when Blizzard Entertainment announced through an official video that they were working on a couple of Diablo projects that they would love to showcase at BlizzCon 2018 and Diablo Immortal is the latest in the line from the franchise.

The new cinematic released for the game reveals that it takes place between the events of DiabloII: Lord of Destruction and Diablo III, coming to both Android and iOS. Although many fans were waiting for Diablo IV, they got this but it doesn't look that bad either.

Currently available demo lets you get into the action with a touchscreen right away and it does well for a fast-paced action game. Except for Witch Doctor, most of the playable classes are available but hardcore fans of the franchise can skip this one out.

The developers also anticipated that players probably are hoping for a sequel game based on the Lord of Terror and subtly left hints that it might take more time to deliver what they want. Despite having the feel of Diablo III, the game needs more polishing to have appeal and acceptance from fans.

Blizzard's hero-shooter Overwatch has finally been included in October’s Humble Monthly Bundle.

Even if you often play team-based multiplayer first-person shooter title Overwatch from developer/publisher Blizzard Entertainment, you might have come across one of those Free Weekends where they offer you a free trial for a few days that comes along with an offer to purchase the game afterwards with a special discount.

Today, digital video game storefront Humble Store announced the game to be part of their October’s Monthly Bundle and an offer you can't refuse.

Generally, Blizzard sells Overwatch for $39.99 but on various occasions, you can bag the game for only $19.99 on sale and not less. Spending only $12 to subscribe to the offer would by far be one of the lowest prices you can pay for this title within a bundle which also includes a bunch of other games worth a total of $100 or more as well.

By continuing your subscription for November and December, you can unlock bonus Loot Boxes offering cool in-game items like Skins and Sprays.

If you already are a subscriber to Humble Monthly Bundle program then you do know that subscribers of this service receive access to download a bundle of 8-10 PC game titles for only $12 each month. On the first Friday of every month, the package is revealed and members are able to get their hands on the games.

You are allowed to keep them in your collection forever, unlike Xbox Game Pass. Sometime they even offer you free redeem codes of handpicked titles to add them to your Steam library.

Rest of the games from October’s monthly bundle still remains secret but last month, super-hit titles like Destiny 2, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Superhot and Undertale made it to their pick. September 2018's bundle has games like Darksiders II, Little Nightmares and Sniper Elite 4 among a collection of 9 games valued $232.92.

The best part of their initiative is that a portion of these purchases go to charity and for the month of October 2018, Make-A-Wish Foundation is the organization they are supporting.

Overwatch’s New Hero Wrecking Ball Live Now

Blizzard Entertainment presents the fur-ball of demolition; Wrecking Ball as newest hero of hero shooter Overwatch.

Through the overall course of run, Blizzard Entertainment's team-based multiplayer first-person shooter Overwatch has added six more playable characters after initially launching with 21 of them and that number is increasing gradually. Another recent addition to their already diverse cast and among some non-human characters is Hammond, the hamster riding on a mech of destruction known as Wrecking Ball. After initial teaser campaigns and trial on PTR, he is finally available to play with.

Those who haven't missed the teaser trailer and animated short featuring Hammond AKA Wrecking Ball knows what a cheerful spirit he is and now here goes another clip as he officially joins the club.

Though this intelligent little fellow is not available in Competitive Play, just so the players can have a little time to adjust and settle with his new gameplay style. However, for Quick Play or Arcade mode, he is all sport and up for all sorts of challenges that are thrown at him. His current status makes all of his Overwatch League skins available for players to pick from before they roll into a match. In a way, Hammond is kinda crazy but a lot of fun to play with but probably not against.

As newest tank hero for this hero shooter title, Wrecking Ball does have some serious moves to cause critical damage. One such nightmarish attack is a sizzle reel that he performs using his Grappling Claw move to decimate people on his way. His quad assault cannons and slamming the robotic tank vehicle into the ground to deliver a Piledriver are proven to be pretty commendable in battlefield. To rub some salt into the wound, he will come out laughing at you in his squeaky voice after taking you down.

Wrecking Ball is the second tank hero added to Overwatch roster post-launch period following Orisa and currently is 28th hero of the game. Straight out of Horizon Lunar Colony, Specimen #8 ruled Junkertown as a champion for a while and is heading this way to wreck havoc with a spheric tank, which he built from a little space pod. Although putting a hamster into this game wouldn't have made much sense at all but with some back-story and some awesome gameplay, it does now.

Overwatch's New Hero Wrecking Ball

If cyborg ninjas and super-spies weren't enough, Overwatch is bringing a chubby cheeked hamster in his murder-bot; Wrecking Ball!

Majority of fan base already guessed in advance who this new hero would turn out to be from all the clues left behind on walls and posters. Afterwards the developer's team revealed 28th addition to the roster and their newest tank hero Wrecking Ball, which will be piloted by a really cute hamster named Hammond!

This cute little fellow came from the Horizon Lunar Colony, where scientists were experimenting on gorillas to increase their intellect and then they all ended up turning on to them. Winston was one of them who were a graduate of their Lucheng Interstellar program and he escaped from there during the chaos. Hammond was another specimen who left the facility in time of gorilla coup and now is marked as "missing". He ended up crash landing on Junkertown and Winston joined Overwatch.

There is no telling how intelligent Hammond is and his mechanic skills are simply remarkable. He customized his makeshift escape pod and upgraded it into a mech of destruction to take part in the battle arena of Scrapyard. He quickly earned a reputation for his winning streak and took the alias "Wrecking Ball" but no one ever knew who was inside. Every other obstacle that is thrown towards him, he successfully overcomes them each time and earned a status of a brawler while exploring the world.

Many people had thought of introducing a character like him as a joke until they saw this little guy coming out with his robotic killing machine. He can roll around the map all over and shoot grappling hook for swinging across places makes him the most unique inclusion to Overwatch roster till date. Previously we had assassins for hire, cyborg ninjas and super-spy in the mix but now we got a fuzzy-faced tank-class hero to stand out among them. With him, Blizzard is moving towards a better direction of diversifying the game even more.

Overwatch's Symmetra Will Be Removed From Support

After a patch released back in December 2016, Symmetra is still not one of Overwatch heroes that players pick so often. She is now the only hero capable two ultimates; one of which is Teleporter and the other being Shield Generator. Her small shields are reworked into large photon barrier to make her support stronger. Even the League pros seem to avoid playing with her despite crowd pleading. On the other hand, players have been asking questions about her upcoming changes on the game’s forums.

Symmetra brings nice balance of diversity into the huge mix of character from this team-based shooter as a hero. In her solo comic-book "A Better World", she is seen to make use of her hard light technology for making bridges and sphere-shaped shields used for defense from enemy attack. It's just like how the fictional species of Shi'ar from Marvel Comics uses their tech that eventually helped the X-Men build their Danger Room training simulation.

RELATED: Katsucon 2017 Overwatch Cosplay

In a recent Interview with Overwatch developer Timothy Ford recently revealed that Symmetra will no longer remain in a support role but will become a defense hero after they are done working on her. What they are targeting here is to make her character more flexible through some dramatic change. Though they cannot reveal much detail because of the work-in-progress and what part of hers is actually their focus of development yet but suggested people will find out as they play Overwatch.

blizzard overwatch developer tim ford
Overwatch developer Tim Ford

"We are discussing the change right now, and although we can’t tell you the details of each change, we would still like to let you know it will be a fairly dramatic change. One thing we can tell you is that Symmetra will turn from a support hero to a defense hero after the remake. Our aim is to make the usage of Symmetra even more flexible from it."
RELATED: Twitch Paid $90 Million for Overwatch League Exclusive Deal

Hopefully, this change will be proven revolutionary for her character because players mostly treat Symmetra as an odd support and avoiding her in their fold using the in-game "Avoid as Teammate" system, which was actually introduced to as a measure against abusive players. Hints also suggest that she will be able to heal her teammates as well and she is already good for shielding support. Taking her for defense also suggests that Blizzard is probably done with non-healing support.

RELATED: Overwatch Support Hero Brigitte Announced

Recently, Brigitte joining as a support hero has given this unique class some boost in spite of still having Ana and Moira in the roster. Bottom line is, we are getting a new Defense hero, who is getting changed from another class and most likely to have a brand-new version of her to make things interesting. Developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment, team-based multiplayer first-person shooter Overwatch is available to play on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Overwatch Support Hero Brigitte Announced

Blizzard Entertainment has just announced the 27th hero character for their massively popular team-based multiplayer online first-person shooter Overwatch. Blizzard has been teasing the reveal of the character for some time on their Twitter handle with images and mysterious hints though. Named Brigitte Lindholm, the new support character will be live on public test region from February 28th within 1 PM ET and 2 PM ET for players on PC.

So far, Overwatch has introduced five extra playable hero characters after the release of the game back in 2016. We had two offensive heroes Doomfist and Sombra, Ana as a support hero and tank hero Orisa. The latest addition to the roster was support hero Moira, added to the gang in November 2017 and now we got Brigitte as another support player, which makes the number three among the additional heroes list.

RELATED: Overwatch League is Exclusively on Twitch

Below is the newest animated short clip featuring the origin story of hero Brigitte Lindholm from Overwatch.

Brigitte will be the first Overwatch character added to the game in 2018 and she also appeared in the “Honor and Glory” animated short. Growing up as the daughter of defense hero Torbjörn Lindholm, Brigitte used to work with her father in his workshop and she was always inspired by her mentor, tank hero Reinhardt. So, she eventually decided to join the fight with a custom-built armor of her own when she realized that she can do more than just building weapons and fixing armors.

RELATED: Overwatch Support Hero Moira Announced

Here goes another video of Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan giving up details on the story, abilities and other aspects of the newest character Brigitte.

Brigitte's melee weapon Rocket Flail has the power to knock of a couple of enemies in an extended range at the same time with one single swing. She has an ability called the Repair Pack, which can be used to heal up a teammate and if that player is already at a full-health, the healing will act as armor to them. Other than the former, she wields abilities like Barrier Shield, Inspire, Shield Bash and Whip Shot to either take damage or knock opponents down.

RELATED: Overwatch Update Changes Mercy

The Ultimate Ability that Brigitte possesses is called Rally, which gives her boosted agility to move faster while shielding her teammates with armor within a certain range. Development tweaks in her character made her better than Torbjörn or Reinhardt and she is more than suited to stop Genji or Tracer during a match. Because she wanted to do more than patching, her gameplay style totally matches the attitude.

RELATED: Overwatch Doomfist Comic – Masquerade

The reveal of Overwatch's previous support Moira at BlizzCon 2017 surprised the fans but for some reason, people were not as much excited as the developers hoped for. Brigitte's announcement however is a complete different case and as she is live on game’s test servers, Blizzard will issue her full release for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One very soon.

Out of the curiosity, we searched for it and found out that reportedly, Twitch has just paid up whooping $90 million dollars cash to secure rights over Overwatch League and we have a recent Tweet from @VentureBeat to back that up.

Whatever big bucks Twitch have paid over this deal is almost exactly one tenth of what the company was sold over for to Amazon back in 2014. The company bought Twitch for over $970 million at that time. However, neither of Blizzard or Twitch has made any official statement on the deemed dollar amount to confirm the news on the air.

However, the developer was generous enough to offer up 100 free tokens for every Overwatch players to start with as an in-game reward.

This new deal has definitely taken their business relationship further and it won't be surprising if Twitch ended up with some more major announcements at the upcoming BlizzCon this year.

Overwatch Support Hero Moira Announced

During BlizzCon, Blizzard Entertainment had a surprise for all the Overwatch fans and it's about a new character. A new support hero . . . err, heroine is being added to the roster, who is actually more of an antagonist as she works for Talon organization and the 26th playable character of the game. Her name is Moira and she is great for both recovery and attack.

With a long-range beam called Coalescence, she can drain the life-force of her opponents and then using that energy, she can heal her teammates with biotic spray. This happens to be Moira's main attack. Moira's "Fade" power allows her to teleport from situations if she is cornered but it also is a great mobility option for the hero even if it has a short range. Players may find this a bit identical to Reaper's Wraith Form and who knows; maybe they're even connected somehow. Just saying!

There is a short clip below that focuses on her motives and few takes from her gameplay which you better take a look at while we talk more about her.

After a while, it might seem that she might be a bold retake on the sniper Ana but whether or not it is true, she will heal you up if she is on your team or give you some serious damage if you are on the other side of her allegiance by sending out her bouncing "Biotic Orbs". You can even compare her to a more hostile version of Symmetra but still, she has superior mobility and long-range for attacks.

Then there comes her Ultimate attack, which is a massive beam of energy blast to wipe out the enemies on your way. So far, the character is full of great features and it will take people some time to figure out how to best use it as well as pointing out whatever flaw she has.

Blizzard's team-based multiplayer online first-person shooter Overwatch is available to play on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. If you're even a little bit of interested about this new support character, you should just go ahead and give it a try already. If you are a support main, you're probably gonna end up loving play as Moira and if you are not, still, chances are you will appreciate having her on your team.

Overwatch Update Changes Mercy

Blizzard Entertainment has been working on updates and releasing them time to time for their award-winning multiplayer online first-person shooter video game Overwatch. As we all know that they are always busy with updating the hero roster as well as bug-fixing, Blizzard has recently released a new update for the game which already went live. By the looks of it, they were primarily focusing on support character Mercy.

They have also updated the social tools so that the players can show when they are online, away, busy or appear offline as their status on PC. The last one won't hide you from your friends if you are all in a same match though.

A recent bug fix has cost Lúcio’s wall ride ability, slowing him down a bit. Now, developers are saying that his wall ride speed has been boosted up to 65% but then again, it just compensates for the reduced speed Lúcio got previously for the update. The adventurer monk Zenyatta received a few new lines of his own. Issue of visual effects regarding Sombra’s Pumpkinette victory pose that wasn't displaying correctly is also fixed.

Okay, let's talk about Mercy now. If you are a Mercy player then you will no longer have trouble to glide past your targeted allies and all you have to do is to use the jump key with Guardian Angel. If you activate Resurrect, your cooldown will no longer reset. Same thing goes for Valkyrie and the resurrection cooldown won't be reduced either. That means players will get a bonus Resurrection charge from now on. All of these and it makes place for a bit of flexibility.

Before, if you had two teammates to resurrect, you had to activate Valkyrie and revive the first target prior so that the Resurrect’s cooldown will reset and you will proceed with the other target. After the update gone live, now you can activate Valkyrie and resurrect both targets immediately. There was also a bug that taxed Mercy’s momentum and prevented her from properly slowing down upon cancelling Guardian Angel.

We've discussed almost every necessary aspect of the update above already, which is available now on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. However, if you are feeling like checking out the details for yourself then here it goes: OVERWATCH PATCH NOTES, OCTOBER 17, 2017.
