Crash Bandicoot 4 Coming to Switch and Next-Gen Consoles

After a successful series revival though Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, developer Toys for Bob and publisher Activision starts working on a mainline entry and released Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time last year across all major platforms.

Activision has announced today that Crash 4 is coming soon for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on March 12, 2021. A potential Windows PC version is also scheduled to arrive on Battle.net store at a later date this year.

Players who already own a copy of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One console version will receive free next-gen upgrade for P5 and Xbox Series X/S, which include support for 60 FPS at 4K resolution, faster loading times and added enhancements.

You can enjoy playing both Modern and Retro mode on newer generation of consoles for crisp visuals and smooth gameplay. Aside from various improvements, PlayStation 5 version offers an enhanced experience through dynamic 3D audio.


DualSense wireless controller lets you feel Neo Cortex's blaster effects and Tawna's hookshot grip using PS5's adaptive trigger feature. Xbox Series S version of Crash Bandicoot 4 will run on upscaled 4K resolution instead of native rendering.

Getting a digital copy of Crash Bandicoot 4 earns you Totally Tubular Skins, which unlocks once you finish the second level. Those who buy a disc version must have a next-gen console system with a disc drive to download or play every time.
