John Wick Hex Comes to PS4

Bithell Games is finally bringing fast-paced action strategy game John Wick Hex to PS4 next month, on May 5.

A prequel game based on action thriller John Wick movie franchise, British developer studio Bithell Games and publisher Good Shepherd Entertainment released action strategy title John Wick Hex last year for PC via Epic Games Store.

Out of the blue, Sony came out announcing today that Baba Yaga will be arriving on PlayStation 4 on May 5, 2020. Prepare to become the boogie man in a reimagination of John Wick in an action strategy video game next month.

JWH is a unique experience that focuses on time-based actions instead of turn-based strategy and it all plays out as it was seen in movies. Since each actions require set amount of time, your performance would depend on how you manage it.

Distribution company Lionsgate and Thunder Road Pictures has given full freedom of exploring source material of the film series to game director Mike Bithell, who previously worked on games like Thomas Was Alone and Volume.

He even took advice from director Chad Stahelski on gameplay mechanics during editing of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. They also collaborated with Ant Workshop studio to redesign the game from ground up for PS4 console.

Hex adapts a comic-book style visual and nicely depicts actor Keanu Reeves (Constantine, The Matrix) starrer character of a professional hitman. Fan-favorite voice talent of Troy Baker (Mortal Kombat X, Resident Evil 6) returns as main villain.

This latest adventure of John Wick is reprising roles of both Ian McShane and Lance Reddick from movies to hype players up even more. Wick will go after a whole new group of bad guys on behalf of High Table when he is still in his prime.

Re-watching John Wick trilogy before you get to play John Wick Hex on PS4 at launch day will be a good idea to get into the right vibe. Aside from getting a good taste of strategy game, this is a great chance to become Baba Yaga yourself.
