MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries Launch Trailer

Piranha Games releases official launch trailer for MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries shortly ahead of its launch on Epic Store.

Though upcoming mecha brawling game MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries could easily be a highly anticipated title of this year on PC platform but that excitement mostly died down when it became an Epic Games Store-exclusive months ago.

MW5 was originally set to release on September 2019 but delay of schedule was announced by developer Piranha Games and now nearing to its launch on December 10, 2019, a brand-new launch trailer for the game is released recently.

MechWarrior series gets a revisit in latest trailer of how things always have been when giant robots would engage each other in combat, which would wreck everything around them and would escalate into heavy shootout.

There are a couple of varied class of mech models like light scouts or heavily armed tank types, carrying huge cache of weapons. Their relentless stomping and barrage of laser shooting at each other is the clear recipe for destruction.

Ramming through buildings riding a heavy one puts up a nice display of overall in-game destructible environments. Taking down imposing threats like King Crab mech will require concentrated fire for a light class war machines.

Players can party up with friends in co-op multiplayer or simply assemble a group of AI-controlled mechs to go on missions. Mercenaries' gameplay focuses on working together with your team and salvaging from broken parts.

Piranha Games knew that many fans would be upset over their deal with publisher Epic Games and therefore, has offered refunds on pre-order. They were allowed to keep all bonus content for MechWarrior Online but missed Closed Beta.

Although people waiting for a Steam release will have to wait a whole year to finally enjoy MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries on PC platform, hardcore fans will not probably take any issue with moving to Epic Store game launcher for once.

The Outlast Trials Revealed

Red Barrels has officially announced upcoming co-op multiplayer survival horror game The Outlast Trials.

Though first two games of psychological horror franchise Outlast has been a single-player journey into madness, developer/publisher Red Barrels are returning for a third installment that will be completely different than its predecessors.

Following a cryptic tease at the end of October 2019, development of their next project was confirmed and today, upcoming co-operative survival horror game The Outlast Trials is finally announced as a series spin-off title.

For very first time, world of Outlast will be spreading out its branches into multiplayer joined by up to four player. Those who prefer to go solo can also enjoy a more terrifying and traditional horror experience in first-person as well.

Plot premise of the game will be set during Cold War era where player characters are kept as some test subjects for some unknown experiments and narrative will probably set around an escape from some facility with fellow captives.

In promotional image, characters are shown to be wearing some sort of night vision goggles and some may try to draw similarity of those devices with VR headsets but official sources confirmed that they are not making a VR game.

Taking series direction towards co-op was a conscious decision to create a distinct experience for everyone. Multiplayer will eliminate the sense of isolation while playing alone but some nightmarish threats would have to haunt players down then.

Red Barrels team has certain plans to make Outlast 3 at some point in future eventually but for now, they are going into other direction within same universe instead of simply making a direct sequel to Outlast and Outlast 2.

The Outlast Trials is currently in early stage of development and developers are planning to add content full of gory violence. Currently in an early stage of development, there are no select platforms or a release window is set just yet.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection Becomes Best-Selling Steam Game

Right after launching on PC, Halo: The Master Chief Collection becomes top-selling game on Steam.

After recent change in business strategy of introducing first-party games on PC and Xbox consoles in recent years, Microsoft Studios have announced to bring Halo: The Master Chief Collection to PC via Steam earlier this year.

Five years after original release on Xbox One, players can finally enjoy Halo: MCC on a platform other than console and this definitive series compilation becomes top-selling game on Steam following recent inclusion of Halo: Reach.

Master Chief Collection on PC comes with key-features like better optimization settings, 67 campaign missions, over 120 multiplayer maps, access to Halo Insiders program and more, which are clear improvements over Xbox release.

MCC bundle debuts with Reach and will continue to launch five more remaining titles by ending with Halo 4 in 2020. Those games will be adding more single-player and multiplayer content, which would possibly draw more players then.

Before debuting on popular PC gaming platform Steam, players had to purchase through and play the game using Windows Live service. However, things have changed for better and Microsoft is even offering Xbox Game Pass for PC.

Launching in parts, you can purchase MCC at Steam for $39.99 only or get it on Game Pass for PC at just $5.99. Currently, they are offering a deal of only $1 for three months but fans are mostly heading over to Valve outlet.

Right now, Master Chief Collection is outperforming other global top-selling and most played games like Monster Hunter: World and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, both of which are available at 50% discount on the platform.

Although Microsoft is more interested in garnering more members for Game Pass service, Xbox head Phil Spencer considers people buying the game on Steam or their subscription service a major win despite their main focus on the latter.

Military sci-fi first-person shooter series Halo undoubtedly is one of the most iconic video game franchises from Microsoft Studios but MCC topping PC sales chart was largely unexpected now that it is gotten old and was buggy at launch.

It has likely happened because Halo: The Master Chief Collection has been a console-exclusive that has debuted on largest community platform for PC players and Microsoft has fixed a lot of its issues for port over past few years.

Multiplayer maps Vacant will return with another old favorite called Shipment, suitable for close-quarters combat. Although created long before Gunfight mode existed, series experts would love to have a new experience on these maps.
