Fortnite Battle Royale has a massive player base currently and they know that Epic Games has set their eyes to conquer all. Though the game is all the same thing over and over again, which is a challenge itself to remain interesting to the audience and developers are doing their best to keep everyone hooked with new in-game changes and tweaks, regular updates and the introduction of cross-play on all platforms. Despite all of these, there is still room for improvement and Fortnite can really use it.

Some suspicion among fans came around recently that developer Epic Games may have several changes in their mind. You might ask, why this is going to happen now all of a sudden? Well, that is because either a comet or a meteor is seen in the night sky and when players tried to keep track of it, they saw it was heading straight to the Battle Royale map. It's not hard to get a good look at it and you won't even have to try hard. It is right there.

This raises the theory among fan-base about some serious impact situation that might add new twist to the game. Some eager Redditors have even bothered to check into game's source files to be sure it really is a comet. Whereas some speculates that it is heading for the Tilted Towers, some believes it would change the environment into a post-apocalyptic setting and then there are indications that this might be Epic Games signaling us about ending the currently running third season of Fortnite Battle Royale.

We also cannot rule out the possibility of the comet to introduce some space-themed elements to the game as like developer Ubisoft did with "Outbreak Event" last month in their tactical shooter title Rainbow Six Siege. Keep that in mind that whatever change it brings, whether a fan-theory coming true or something completely out of the blue, this is an attempt by Epic Games only to make the game interesting to players. So, let's hope it works.
