Super Smash Bros. Comes to Nintendo Switch

Back in February 2018, we talked about a rumor of a new title for Nintendo Switch, which probably is the new Super Smash Bros. Nintendo eventually put that rumor to rest by announcing bringing the game to Switch later sometime of this year in one of their latest presentation. Also, a teaser trailer was dropped to make the fans grasping for some air as they wait for the title in anticipation.

The short length trailer opens up with a boy and girl from another successful Nintendo franchise Splatoon, engaging in a paint- shooting. As their battle become more intense, suddenly the world around them goes black and the girl looks around confused. A huge fiery Smash Bros. emblem is seen on the horizon and silhouettes of the possible fighting characters can be seen with Link and Mario. The Inklings from Splatoon are much likely to join the battle this time.

Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. series is renowned for assembling various popular characters like Link, Mario and Samus from their fan-favorite titles. Back in 1999, they brought these famous characters together for an all-out brawl to create one of the most successful crossover-fighting game series ever. Protagonists of other third party games like Bayonetta, Mega Man, Metal Gear, Pac-Man and Sonic the Hedgehog also joined the rumble in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

So, it was only fitting when the Super Smash Bros. game finally finds its way to the Nintendo Direct announcement lately.  Now what everyone has been debating about after the trailer is that if the new game is going to be an original title for Switch or just a port version of 2014 Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. If we consider the failed history of Wii U to deliver successful games in the past, then it probably is going to be an enhanced port for Nintendo Switch.
