Bethesda Teases Possible Location for The Elder Scrolls VI

Ever since an official announcement for upcoming action role-playing game The Elder Scrolls VI with a brief teaser video during E3 2018 event, developer/publisher Bethesda Softworks didn't share any development update till date.

After being quiet for long, Bethesda may have started teasing a possible location for The Elder Scrolls 6 lately. Fans were teased with a cryptic Tweet on New Year's Eve that features a map of Skyrim province, hinting at TES VI location.

People who already played 2011 open-world action RPG title The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim quickly recognized a few obvious details like two candles placed on province of Hammerfell, which is a potential site for next Elder Scrolls game.

Due to Bethesda remaining silent regarding TES6, there have been a lot of rumors about various aspects of it. There is another candle over city of Solitude, which is the capital city of Skyrim and may have some connection to TES VI story.

Bethesda recently took official Twitter handle of The Elder Scrolls game to mysteriously tease a map location.

Latest social media post by Bethesda could also be a pointless search for clue and simply a wish to observe New Year. However, its caption "Transcribe the past and map the future" appears to be more than a mere word of celebration.

The Elder Scrolls series fans were busy speculating where TES 6 will take place within continent of Tamriel. Bethesda only showed a glimpse of a mountainside backdrop so far and people are keen to find where that site is really from.

Shortly after Microsoft buying Bethesda Softworks, fans were concerned whether new games will be available on PlayStation platforms following a remark from Xbox head Phil Spencer but that rumor was put down by Sony later on.

The Elder Scrolls VI will see major game engine upgrade in more than a decade since The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion back in 2006. Bethesda has yet to reveal when TES6 will eventually come out and whether it will be a cross-gen release.
