Instead of revealing news regarding highly-anticipated sequel to Breath of the Wild in newest Nintendo Direct video presentation, developer/publisher Nintendo announces The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD for Nintendo Switch.

Shortly after official reveal, all Skyward Sword HD pre-orders are sold out on retail site Amazon for United Kingdom and United States. Though the game is currently delisted on Amazon UK, new stocks are brought back for Amazon US site.

Although fans were expecting a collection of old Zelda games for upcoming 35th anniversary, many are still excited for Skyward Sword. Some were also hoping to receive a Switch port of Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Wind Waker.

Despite being disappointed for not having a Zelda games collection, players are exited for a new Switch port anyway. Skyward Sword HD pre-orders going out of stock is not much of a surprise as Zelda one of the biggest Nintendo franchises.

A remastered version of 2011 original, Skyward Sword HD for Switch to add better controls and increased frame rates. Players get to choose between using Joy-Cons for motion controllers or go for button-based controls in handheld mode.

People were also looking forward to get some development update of Breath of the Wild 2 in latest episode of Nintendo Direct. Series producer Eiji Aounuma assured that Nintendo will be sharing more news about BoTW2 later this year.
