First-ever Nintendo Direct livestream this year reveals brand-new announcements for Nintendo Switch games in 2021.

In a surprise announcement, Nintendo recently reveals to premiere a Nintendo Direct stream featuring a lineup of games coming to Nintendo Switch consoles throughout first half of this year after long hiatus of 531 days since September 4, 2019.

Nintendo continued showcasing new titles in a number of Mini Directs amidst this long leave of absence. Latest stream of Nintendo Direct will be going live on February 17, 2:00 PM PT/5:00 PM ET at official Twitch and YouTube channels.

Project Triangle Strategy | Announced
A new strategy RPG adventure titled "Project Triangle Strategy" is announced by Square Enix for Nintendo Switch as a spiritual successor to critically-acclaimed Octopath Traveler that employs a HD-2D graphics style and similar aesthetics.

Triangle Strategy is currently a working title for Square's latest project, focused on a turn-based battle system. Nintendo has plans to launch it on Switch handheld in 2022 and already released a demo on eShop for everyone to give it a try.


Splatoon 3 | Announced
Nintendo kept their best news for last and revealed upcoming third-person shooter Splatoon 3, third game in popular series. Inklings are returning once again for some chaotic action amidst cityscape of Splatsville, away from Inkopolis.

Without directly pointing at anything, newly released trailer offered a glimpse at single-player gameplay and multiplayer mode. Splatoon 3 will be arriving in 2022 for Nintendo Switch with playable Octolings, new weapons and more.


Fans have long been waiting for news on Metroid Prime 4 and Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 but ended up with Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD and Expansion Pass for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity announcements.

Some people were hoping to see The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and Metroid Prime HD Trilogy being announced for Nintendo Switch but today's Nintendo Direct presentation wasn't something that managed to please everyone.
