With 50,000 players engaged in it in real-time Subnautica, ARK: Survival Evolved, Vermintide 2, Scum, Atlas and Artifact are apparently on the second tier. Left 4 Dead 2, Conan Exiles, NBA 2K19, Killing Floor 2, DayZ and H1Z1 is following that up with 25,000 and more.

At 15,000 players on a constant, Age of Empires II HD, AC Origins, Quake Champions, Borderlands 2, Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Vampyr, Dark Souls III, Dark Souls: Remastered, XCOM 2 and Total War: ROME II are holding their line as well.

Despite so many good games falling into the trap of "Broketober", the real good ones survived till the end. However, not many of them have seen a good time like Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 or Red Dead Redemption 2 and died down.

Aside from the purchase of the base game, Steam also took account of the revenue earned from DLC packs. Though some of the elite on the lists are free-to-play, you can easily find some of the best AAA games of recent times within 33-85% discount for sure.

Far Cry 5 Game Awards 2018 Teaser

Ubisoft goes full post-apocalyptic with Far Cry series in a new teaser trailer for The Game Awards 2018.

The latest installment of action-adventure first-person shooter game series Far Cry from developer/publisher Ubisoft was Far Cry 5 that came out earlier this year and became one of the fastest-selling games of the franchise despite controversy.

Now, ahead of The Game Awards 2018, Ubisoft has unveiled a brand-new cinematic trailer for their upcoming project as a follow-up to the series that has a post-apocalyptic vibe. Though the video doesn't give away much, we can still sum up a few part on our own.

Take a look at this video of upcoming Far Cry project/sequel with a short narrative below released this afternoon.

RELATED: Far Cry 5 Fan Recreates Jurassic Park

Though, we don't have much details on our hand to work with, the teaser surely looks like it is connected to FC5 and may even serve up a follow-up sequel, whereas all of the previous games from the series came out as standalone releases.

The opening shot of the teaser shows us a farmhouse across wheat fields and mountains in the distance, which has a striking resemblance to Hope County, Montana. Then a sudden nuclear explosion goes off on the horizon with a blinding light and a mushroom cloud blooming.

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING CONTAINS POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR FAR CRY 5.

Everything goes up in flame and the wheat fields get destroyed as we see it happen in slow motion. Then years after, that place saw blue sky but the world that emerged from the husk of the old one is not the one that had any hope in it.

You cannot make something concrete out of these vague images for sure but the nuclear meltdown event most probably is the one we saw from the ending of Far Cry 5. It seems that a mixture of Fallout and RAGE 2 is coming this way by the looks of it.

Now, we will have to wait some more to get a full reveal of the new game at The Game Awards event to know whether Ubisoft is sending players on post-apocalyptic journey into post-nuclear Montana by moving far from the rest of the series or go to another direction.

Taking in account that it hasn't been a full year since Far Cry 5 was released and launching multiple DLC packs already, the company is ready to work with the same IP is quite interesting. We just hope the reveal excites us and everyone in the end by offering fans another spectacular open-world sandbox.

Best Hunting Games for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

The fundamentals of a good hunting game are focused on a realistic hunting experience and here are some best hunting games for Consoles or PC.

Traditionally if you wanted to obtain skills for hunting, then your best bet would be to actually be present in the wilds yourself. You would have to learn the tips and tricks that all hunters must follow to hunt effectively and successfully or the help of an experienced hunter you know, to aid you on your first hunting adventure.

However, nowadays you may not need to go through all that trouble, because video games have become quite main-stream over the years and there are plenty of hunting games available on different platforms that can actually give you a realistic hunting experience.

Of course, it may not ever be similar to obtaining first-hand Hunting Experience in the wilds for real but it can still give you an idea of what to really expect out there in a safe controlled environment at the comfort of your own home.

The real-life excitement of it is a lot dimmed down through these simulators but that doesn't mean that it would hurt you to have some fun time with it. So, take a look at some of the best hunting games for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

01. The Hunter: Call of the Wild (PC, PS4, Xbox One)
If you are looking for one of the most realistic hunting experience in a game that can almost be passed off as a simulation, then the hunter: Call of the Wild is exactly what you might be looking for. Unlike its predecessors of The Hunter series, it is a one-time purchase game, which can be extended with additional DLC.

The game allows you to hunt in two reserves based on the North American Pacific Northwest. The base game offers 15 animals that can be hunted, which can be expanded to 25 if you purchase all the offered DLCs.

You can use different caliber rifles, shotguns, pistol, and even bows in the game to hunt animals. In order to get the highest score, the player would have to choose the right weapon depending on the type of animal they intend on hunting.

The player is also provided with a camera to take pictures of the different animals, nature, landmarks, and points of interest in the game. There is also a multiplayer component in the game that lets you form a team of up to 8 players.

In order to track animals, you would have to pay close attention to their different voice calls, footprints, droppings and their "need zones" where they usually take shelter. The natural vegetation can be used as cover by players, and they must keep their noise to a minimum to hunt successfully.

2. Cabela's Big Game Hunter: Pro Hunts (PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360)
This game is a bit old, but it is still a pretty good hunting simulation. It was originally created for 7th generation consoles, but it still holds up quite well today. The game offers a single player campaign set in North America.

The player gets to play with four professional big game hunters from the real world who provide advice throughout the campaign. In order to progress, you have to use various weapons such as rifles, bows, and shotguns to hunt animals and complete objectives.

There are four different hunting areas in the game divided into South East, North East, South West, and North West. You have to hunt down special animals known as "game bosses" to unlock the following hunting area.

3. Far Cry 5 (PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One)
Far Cry 5 isn't one of your conventional hunting games, because the game offers more than just hunting. It is an open world action adventure game set in a fictional region in Montana and deals with your player's attempts at surviving an oppressive cult that has taken over these beautiful lands.

It has some impressive next-generation graphics, and the wilderness in the game really stands out compared to other games. Although it is not focused particularly on hunting, you are given the option to hunt as a side activity that complements the main campaign.

There are a diverse set of animals that make up the ecosystem of the game, and they give you a real sense of danger when you are venturing off alone in the wilds. You have many different weapons to use at your disposal ranging from handguns, shotguns assault rifles, and various throwables.

All of these weapons can be used to hunt animals. The pelts of these animals can also be skinned to be sold at stores to earn in-game currency. Far Cry 5 does not aim to provide a hunting simulation, but it does offer some fun gameplay and a realistic sense of risk as the different animals can attack you at any moment.

4. Red Dead Redemption 2 (PlayStation 4, Xbox One)
Yup, you heard it right! Just like the previous game in this list, this is not a game tailored specifically for hunting either. The game pays homage to classic western movies such as The Wild Bunch and Sergio Leone's Dollars trilogy.

It is set in an open world and features a fictionalized version of the Western United States. Although this game is mainly known for its wonderful cinematic single-player campaign following the lives of a bunch of outlaws escaping civilization, it does feature a very realistic hunting side activity.

Although the hunting in this game may not be considered a simulation, it is indeed something very close to a simulation because of the various details and technology that the developers have implemented to bring out the true hunting essence.

When you're off on a hunting adventure in the game, you will have to use the various weapons of that era, such as single-action revolvers, shotguns, rifles, and even bows. Using the wrong kind of weapon on the wrong animal can damage your pelt, so you have to pick your weapon carefully.

You can also hunt down some legendary animals, which provide pelts of the highest quality. Red Dead Redemption 2 also provides a real sense of danger to players, and animals have a keen sense of smell. So you have to be very careful before approaching one.

There are many video games out there that provide an outstanding hunting experience without even being present in the wilds. Hunting, in reality, can sometimes be considered an expensive sport because of the different gears that you require to hunt successfully.

Although video games are not necessarily cheap, they are definitely easier on the wallet in comparison to hunting rifles and other crucial hunting components. Also, you can stay clear from danger as a beginner if you choose to have the hunting experience through a video game.

Even if hunting is something you are not really into, these video games are still a fun way to pass your time and I am sure you won't be disappointed!

Far Cry 5 Fan Recreates Jurassic Park

Using the astounding in-game multiplayer map editor, a fan has recreated Jurassic Park in Far Cry 5 game.

Developer Ubisoft has made a comeback at their action-adventure first-person shooter franchise with Far Cry 5 in 2018 and the game did quite well despite some little political issues. Players didn't just stopped finishing their main story campaign of freeing Hope County from preacher Joseph Seed and his militaristic doomsday cult Eden's Gate, they decided to get creative with the game's map builder for multiplayer and has end up recreating the iconic Jurassic Park.

If you have enough time and patience, the in-game map builder can be such a tool and the park from 1993 classic sci-fi movie of Steven Spielberg came alive as result of hard work from a fan. We saw a quirk of Baker Family from Resident Evil 7 and the mysterious tropical island from TV series Lost from ABC already. Now that Universal Pictures' Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is stirring hype among cinema loving fans, suddenly people are going crazy about dinosaurs and thus the Jurassic Park mod was born.

Community based gaming news sharing YouTube channel Forge Labs weighs in on Far Cry: Jurassic Park mod created by D4RKDEATH and you got a walkthrough in the clip below.

There is a Pokémon GO-style augmented reality game Jurassic World Alive already out now and a park simulator called Jurassic World Evolution will release very soon but none of them comes any closer to the one we are talking about. While many players are eagerly looking forward for upcoming DLC packs to release, you can get busy with this brand-new Jurassic Park mod in the meantime and have some fun. Because, the fictional island of Isla Nublar is much scarier than Hope County, Montana.

RELATED: Far Cry 5: Inside Eden’s Gate Short Film Announced

Akin to previous take on popular franchises with Far Cry 5 multiplayer map builder, this one tried to remain faithful to source material and many hidden Easter Eggs are planted within. Sadly, you will not be seeing any dinosaurs. Walking around the park, you will notice those electric fences to keep the Tyrannosaurus Rex inside from getting out to the toilet from where it later picked up lawyer Donald Gennaro, everything iconic is carefully placed there for sentimental fans.

RELATED: Far Cry 5 Season Pass Details

Aside from some rail shooters, a few park builders and a LEGO adaptation, Jurassic Park didn't get the attention or respect it deserved. Since two of the currently existing Jurassic World game is just a simulator and an AR, this new Far Cry 5 version is apparently the best experience you can get from the prehistoric adventure game series. Whereas we are shown what Ubisoft has ushered with their impressive map builder, we also are reminded that it's time they finally make a proper Jurassic Park game.

Far Cry 5 Breaks Franchise Sales Records

Developer Ubisoft is pretty happy these days as their recent release of Far Cry 5 from long-running first-person action game series has just become the best-selling title in entire franchise. First week sell of this title surpassed double the amount than what Far Cry 4 made upon its initial release. More than half of these sales percentage came from digital purchase though. Before this title, only Tom Clancy's The Division saw such grand launch as another Ubisoft-made game.

The studio has more to add along with those record-breaking sales numbers, because there are more to put in. Following the release of Far Cry 5, over 55,000 hours of gameplay was streamed on Twitch and videos on YouTube have crossed 117 million views. These two are both records for any Ubisoft game to have within a week of their launch. This clearly shows how positively players of Far Cry community have taken the game and their enthusiasm is coming out in numbers.

Aside from the sales bump, players are also leaving mostly positive feedback towards the game. It also becomes a best-selling title in UK as well. There is also some crazy statistics data gathered from the game like how many dynamite sticks have been thrown or how fake brands were created solely for the game and all you can possibly think of. Official Ubisoft Blog has recently released an infographic chart that has listed all of them and we are leaving it right below for you to check out.

Far Cry 5 is the first among the series to have an American setting and players are allowed to explore a vast location of fictional Hope County, Montana as they want.

Far Cry 5 IT Movie Easter Eggs

We already know now that Ubisoft's action-adventure first-person shooter Far Cry 5 pits you against a militaristic doomsday cult called Eden's Gate as a rookie sheriff's deputy of fictional Hope County, Montana. What we recently discovered is that it also has two indications to a certain creepy character from Stephen King’s 1986 horror novel that has been adapted to a successful TV Series and a live-action film. Yes, we are talking about Pennywise the Dancing Clown.

No, we are not trying to raise your hopes by indicating that "IT" from King’s story to appear on Far Cry 5 or actor Bill Skarsgård portraying a maniacal cult member with his frightening voice. In fact, there are two clear Easter Eggs for the keen eyes, which has become quite a buzz for the gamers who are trying to find it for themselves.

IT Movie Easter Egg

RELATED: Far Cry 5: Inside Eden’s Gate Short Film Announced

The first reference you will come across is a shiny red balloon just outside a sewer pipe near John’s crop circle and it seems that the developers have picked it up from Andy Muschietti's 2017 movie. Although, Pennywise the Dancing Clown was not waiting on the other side, many have chosen not to enter at their own risk. O’Hara’s Haunted House holds the second Easter Egg for players who pass through halls to discover another red balloon beside a chair as a note that reads:

“You have the fear of god you need the of THE DEVIL you need to FEAR IT you take a young person and take their body and mind you use their empty corpses to find more young people whose bodies you can steal no no NO no no you will wish your mind was scooped out of your body because when IT is through with your bodies YOU WON’T WANT THEM ANYMORE.”
This disturbing note pretty obviously nods to Pennywise by mentioning "IT" on last paragraph. Hope County, Montana is already a weird place with its very own mysteries surrounded by Eden's Gate cult and now these references adds up to that list. If you play the game, you will notice after a while that there is not a single child around. Is it because Pennywise has left the town long ago when he was done with the kids or these hints crossovers with Stephen King’s Multiverse?

Far Cry 5 is the fifth installment of the series that is released from developer Ubisoft on March 27, 2018 for playing on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game has already referred to leap of faith from Assassin's Creed series, Far Cry Primal with a mammoth, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds with frying pans, an armor pack outfit from Rainbow Six Siege and maybe a few more. Who knows, Ubisoft may have hid more of these Easter Eggs for eager fans to find out.
